Mario is a great host. Good value for the money.
WiFi is slow.
The location was excellent and very convenient to all of the best pizza places in Naples. Mario was very helpful with getting our luggage up the stairs and communicating with us. The room was comfortable enough, and the street below was quiet.
The WiFi didn't work at all the first day. When it did eventually start working, it was so slow to the point that it was unusable for many things. We were working remotely at times during our stay and the connection was not strong enough to handle audio or video calls. I've stayed at a lot of Bed and Breakfasts, and this should not be labeled as such. It was a small apartment with 3 rooms that are rented out. The "reception" area is just the living room. There are 3 flights of steep steps to get up to the entrance, and there is a very "back alley" vibe as you climb the steps, as everything is kinda dingy. When I think of a Bed and Breakfast, I think of a comfortable house where breakfast is made fresh in the kitchen and provided to guests. Here, there is none of that. You are given a voucher to go to a cafe around the corner and get a drink and a croissant. Not very homey.
Very friendly host, helped us with luggage, places to eat and luggage storage. Great location next to old town and you have to try the pizza in La figlia del presidente, it is amazing! Would definitely recommend.
The location is excellent as it is situated in the very heart of the historical city centre. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
We had to carry our suitcases up a lot of old stone steps as there is no lift! The lady who let us in carried one suitcase but she was struggling. The owner sent someone to help us with the suitcases when we moved out. There were no toiletries whatsoever in the bathroom, the fridge bar was empty and the tea/coffee selection was minimal. The cups were not properly cleaned and the old teabag was left on the tray.
The entire building is a bit old, but inside room is clean and comport. And the location is perfect, it’s close to famous pizzerias in Naples. And the host, Mario was amazing. Very considerate and generous. Thank you for your kind hospitality, Mario :)
