Secluded area. Cute tiny village, free range chickens, great spa. Get reservations at the Strawberry Tree for dinner when you make your room reservations. If you like to play snooker, bring your own chalk. (and don't ask the evening staff if they have any- not very polite)
Pros: spacious room, excellent dinner in the restaurant. One of the evening staff was a bit rude, but otherwise, a fantastic stay. Cute little village to walk around, quiet. THe spa was fabulous, the hot tubs, saunas, etc.

Take advantage of the front lounge, we sat in their enjoying a bottle of wine & chatting. Made for a nice, quiet evening.
Pros: It was quiet, charming, and in a lovely location
Cons: The pub next door is owned by same people, didn't have as much on their menu as we had been led to believe based on sample menus on their website and despite winning numerous awards. The food was good, just not as much variety as we were expecting.

Pros: It's good value for money and very well located. Ideal for short stays.
Cons: No internet access from the room. Furniture needs refurbishment. TV is too small.
Pros: the service from the bar staff was very good.
Cons: breakfast could have been better, internet use was very poor.
Pros: excellent value for money- reasonably lively- food so so- rooms a little "ancient", but adequate
Pros: the staff were very helpful and friendly.the bar was cosy and well staffed food was good value for money and very nice with large portions.drinks were also reasonably priced.all round very enjoyable stay.
Pros: The position overlooking the harbour at Dun Laoghaire is superb. The location is ideal for travel to Dublin using the DART and there are good shops and restaurants locally. The hotel can have local musicians performing.
Cons: The rooms at the front can be noisy from the trains and if there is an event on a Saturday night as they are over the bar. However the magnificent view out to sea is compensation. The maintenance of the rooms needed a little attention.
Pros: Great view
Cons: 2 single beds joined together with a lump in the middle which was uncomfortable. The room is advertised as a double but 2 single beds pushed together is not a double bed.
Pros: Seaview. Wifi in lobby work well. Plenty of parking space.
Cons: No wifi in room unfortunately. On arrival only one of four lightfittings in room worked! Implies poor maintenance. When pointed out to reception all were quickly fixed, though. Breakfast at ten euro very poor. Extremely limited selection and bad attention to topping up the buffet.
Pros: Meals were very good and value for money and all the staff were exceptionally helpful
Pros: Great location, handy for Dart and a short walk to the seafront and the centre of town. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. We were on the back of the hotel and it was quiet for sleeping - no traffic noise and no noise from the bar. Breakfast was very good for the price with the exception of the coffee which tasted boiled. The location was great for the fast ferry terminal which we were leaving on the next day
Cons: Hard to get suitcases into the reception area through double doors and up steep steps. Carpets and fittings in the reception area are tired and don't give a good first impression. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling and tiles gave another bad first impression.
Pros: The hotel provided all I needed. I was able to come and go as I wanted, the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was fine and the breakfast was excellent and well served.
Cons: The only thing I wanted and couldn't find was instructions for working the television remote control.
