Beauty of the nature and the view around the hotel
Cold room heater is not working properly and there is no phone inside the room. Internet connection sometimes is poor
Had a lovely stay.. bed was really comfortable, loved the big patio window, the tv wasn't very easy to use, I was convinced at one point we were looking through a security camera..my only negatives, we had to hunt for the second mug, it was in the bottom drawer, only one glass in bathroom & no mat for stepping out of bath or shower...overall a lovely place to stay, or I do fly staff & out standing breakfast.
Mugs in proper place & anti slip or any mat for bathroom.
Distance from centre
Setting convenient to Uni with lovely view over the lake & modern buildings which I walked around prior to checking out. Bed very comfortable & the room clean & tidy, if not a bit tired.
I booked on-line & do wonder whether some of the staff take this to mean they can adjust the level of welcome. The breakfast just ok, rather disappointing, as was the welcome. I was told breakfast wasn't included, which it clearly was from my confirmation email. When I tried to show to the 'restaurant manager' to confirm it was included in the price, he didn't look at my phone but proceeded to the main reception desk to check. Not handled well. I was made to feel uncomfortable. No apology & he just retorted 'everyone makes mistakes', no explanation. Not pleasing & I would hesitate to recommend staying here. I would prefer to stay on the main campus at The Orchard Hotel albeit more expensive but with a higher level of staff competence.
Staff were great- and the room was really spacious and comfy. Would definitely stay again
Only problem was that a couple of times parking was a bit tricky- but then some hotels don't have dedicated parking at all.
