Location is nice . Whether was good
We are was a group of friends who spend almost €3000 for this dump place. This hotel absolutely scammers and they don't provide even toilet paper for they guest ( even worst b&b provide this ) no towels nothing but this is not a worst bit as we could buy this . They charge €45 for cleaning. So even if you clean yourself they won't let you go without been charge proper scam . Can you imagine what sort of people working there if they cannot employ cleaners they employ cheapest rude staff We have big argue with them and then find out that not only us they scam everyone. This type of hotels is shame for hole country. Taking lots of money and providing worst possible service .my advice Don't book this "rubbish " if you don't won't to ruin your holiday
This resort has a huge amount of potential. It’s location, layout and facilities provide a great opportunity for an affordable and enjoyable family getaway. We did our research prior to booking and were well aware that it’s not a 5 star resort. We were also prepared for some of the hiccups we faced care of the many mixed reviews we read. As we are a couple travelling without our adult children and who have travelled extensively all over the world for both work and leisure purposes we believed we were well prepared to overcome the majority of the issues we had read from previous reviews. The reservation was made without incident through booking.com and prior to our arrival the residence was responsive to questions asked via email. As per our confirmation email all monies were to be paid on arrival and the booking guaranteed as our credit card details were provided at the time of booking. On arrival to the resort we were welcomed by a friendly receptionist who requested payment of our city taxes and we opted to rent some of the optional towel packs. When making payment we noticed that the amount for our room was not also included and requested to make payment in full. The staff member advised that she was not yet fully trained and unable to process large payments so we would need to return and do this with the more experienced receptionist who wasn’t due in for 3 days, completely understood. We arrived to reception promptly on day 3 as requested only to be lectured for not making payment prior to our arrival. When making payment the receptionist had varying amounts to the information contained in our confirmation email and we refused to pay the extra without justification. Over the coming days we were harassed each time we saw the receptionist with her demanding that we owed her more money. On day 10 we took the matter to booking.
The location is great. There is a free bus that takes you to and from the Orelle gondola. Every fine minutes except between 10:30 and 11:30. The bus schedule is at the reception. You can also drive to the free parking lot by the gondola in 5 minutes on a zigzag road. The lot is often fill though, so it's best to rely on the bus. From there, you can access the entire resort of Orelle. There is an economic ski rental shop where you can get your skis tuned overnight for cheap. It's right near the gondola station. There's also a free parking lot in front of the property. It's usually not full, but not always. There is paid underground parking at the property too. We had everything we needed in the apartment, including cooking utensils. The bed was comfortable, the apartment well ventilated, the sheets clean. Bring your own towels though as they were not provided. We actually enjoyed our stay at this property very much, and the cons were not a deal breaker. The lower price offset those cons.
The instructions for late check-in were insufficiently detailed. When we arrived, we didn't know how to check in. We scrambled to find anyone at all and found staff in the spa. They told us one of the two phone numbers for the property didn't work, and we dialed the second one. At that point we were directed to the lock box near the door to the reception to retrieve our keys. It would be much less stress if we were communicated this procedure ahead of our arrival. The spa was so packed, consider it's not there unless you are prepared to sit in the sauna like hens in a poultry factory. The kitchen was somewhat cramped. There was some noise in the morning, but not too loud.
It was ok value money wise
Prior the arrival I have contacted their reservations and asked to book parking. If pre-booked it costs 25 euros if booked on spot 50. So I asked via email to reserve a spot and said I could pay, however They assured me that I can pay on arrival. On arrival we came into the reception 10 minutes early and woman at reception was very unhappy to see us and with gestures showed how much work she has and that she’s not going to give us keys for another 10 minutes. Which would have been fine, but then she said ok I will give you keys. So she changed her mind in a second, even though she said apartment is not ready. Then I said that I have reserved a parking and she said ok pay 50 euros. I declined and repeated that I have reserved it prior the arrival, she insisted that I didn’t . I found email which was sent to me , she said it’s not her email and I should have paid for parking . I showed her the email again which confirmed that I can pay on arrival and it is reserved for me. She was arguing with me in French and was giving an attitude saying that I don’t understand anything. Well we did not feel welcomed at all. Finally I clicked on the email and on the contact number that was on that email and reception phone rang. I said how it can be not your email when your contact number is on it! After long argument she allowed us to pay the reserved amount... overall , working in hospitality and having poor English doesn’t help customers. No information about spa or shuttle bus was given. When asked about ski storage which they claim they have she said go to the gondola lift and pay some coins for locker. So the advert that they have it is a lie. We went to gondola ski lift and at the information they said they don’t know about any lockers.... so we stored our equipment in the roof-box on our car... The apartment and furniture was very tired. Chest of draws was So old and broken that was unusable. Location wise, expect queues at the gondola , nothing much around .
we went for cycling, so location is excellent near the major climbs, 7km from town, so a car is really needed for shopping etc, although there is a small shop on site. Pool was very nice, but full of children, apartments were good size, well equipped and clean.
Add on charges were extortionate !!!!!!!!! towels were 10 euros, for that you got, 1 large and 1 small, you could buy them new cheaper !! sheets were 12 euros !! cleaning was 80 euros !! So beware of extra charges. Reception is only open certain hours and certain days,
