The staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. The precautions taken to keep guests safe and everything clean made us feel extremely comfortable. The location was excellent as was the price.
The towels were terrible. Scratchy and not at all absorbent. I know there was no carpeting in the room to be in keeping with the beach theme, but that meant there was nothing to absorb noises, so you could hear everything from other rooms and the hallway.
Really cool vibe, excellent location, shuttle service to Universal, awesome customer service, and text feature.
Location of hotel and the bus to the park
No coffee maker in room
I've previously been to the Portifino, Cabana Bay, and Sapphire Falls at Universal Orlando, which all have a nice resort feel to them. The Surfside Inn has same atmosphere, but at 1/3 to 1/2 the price. Cabana Bay is better for Volcano Bay walking access.
Nothing to dislike about Surfside Inn compared to other Universal Hotels when you factor in the price. If you want to have walking path resort and walking access to Volcano Bay, pay a little extra for Cabana Bay or Aventura.
Everything was amazing
Clean and close to attractions
I was double charged upon check out and had to make several calls to front desk and my bank to resolve!! Very unhappy they took $--- but wouldn’t swipe my card to return it. I was on a budget for vacation as a single mom and still haven
The room was perfect for our family and staff was great!
Location and rides to the parks
No coffee in rooms
I really liked the transportation from the hotel to the parks
The wallsare so thin that you can hear anything that is happenning in the other rooms.Towels were terrible quality.
Great room/value for a Universal on property hotel.
We were upgraded to a suite, but walls can be thin when certain guests check into these (especially during the weekend). One day our room wasn't cleaned after previously calling for services.
Paid / guest parking garage for more security. On site cafe and Starbucks. On site guest laundry. Convenient shuttle ride to Universal Theme Parks. We had 2 issues for the staff and both were resolved quickly. The room decor was tropical &relaxing.
The bathroom was small and there was no extraction fan so it became very humid. The vanity area was not private. The A/C unit blows directly on the sleeping person's face in both bedrooms.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
