Clean and modern. Quiet location Did not realise it was on the outskirts of the town
The staff were friendly & helpful. The parking was good. I think the decor here is looking a bit tired.
Large secure car park and good breakfast Evening Meal
Beautiful location wonderful views No shower curtain in triple room always mopping up no hospitality tray no choice of beer
Salies de Bearne The hotel room was very basic, even down to no hooks to hang your wet towels. The standard of cleanliness could of been better. The majority of the rooms are south facing, and as a result are overly hot. A sun canopy should be standard.
The hotel was lovely and in a beautiful spot, in fact we would have like to have stayed a few nights but our travels did not allow it. The receptionist was very charming and helpful.
This hotel has nothing to reccomend it other than the view of the golf course. The room was laughingly described as a 'comfort room'. It was not clean and was poorly furnished. The carpet edges were not vacuumed and there was litter behind the set of drawers. Beneath the single pillowcase the pillow was filthy. The shower was black with mould and the glass and tiles were thick with grime. I could go on....... We stayed in eight good hotels on this holiday but this was one foul.
Good restaurant, Good size clean rooms, Late Breakfast starts at 7am
The hotel was very pleasant and the staff very helpful and welcoming. The air conditioning was also very welcome! The restaurant was poor - we had salmon which was not cooked properly and there were no apologies offered. Also rooms did not have hair driers / irons although they were available from reception.
Hotel is accessible most hours ,stakff very good.
Staff was very accomodating and restaurant was quite good
Beautiful building and very comfortable room.Nice staff Everything was good for us
offensive language It smelled throughout the hotel. Mainly old stale odours. The paint scheme was funerial and oppressive. It did nothing for the beauty of the building - I think you are missing a trick here..
The peaceful vinyard strewn walks. The quality of the renovation of a Bearnaise barn into a modern hotel. The very helpful, but unobtrsuive owners. Leaving.........
This is a beautifully restored farmhouse that is comfortable and has very welcoming innkeepers.
A warm welcome. Well appointed and comfortable room. Good atmosphere and nice location.
Excellent value for money. A pleasant peaceful location. The pool was very welcome after a long journey. Very friendly and helpful staff. The meal provided was plain but good with bottle of wine included. There was no air conditioning in the room as stated on the booking form. The window had no mosquito screen. I was a little disappointed that the owners were not French. I had been looking forward to a French experience ,being our first day in France , however the french guests were very friendly and made up for this . No lift.
Beautifully restored barn convertion excellent food, very friendly British owners, very relaxing
The welcome we had from the owners couldn't have been better, warm friendly atmosphere in a beautifully renovated property. This family really care about making sure their guests enjoy their stay to the full. We were also impressed by their environmentally friendly attitude. An absolute gem of a find! Nothing negative about this hotel at all.
Very friendly and helpful owners, lovely room in a beautiful setting. Nothing
nice big clean room for very reasonable price. Personal touch friendly hosts none
Friendly hosts. Swimming pool. Clean room but a bit small. Many moths came into the room at night if windows open and light on.
A very nice and quiet place with a friendly atmosphere. Good, spacy room and a nice pool outside.
Good disabled access slope - but then it all goes wrong - very steep stone staircase to rooms which overlook the lake. No lift. With the double staircase a "stairlift" would be easy to install. Excellent food, well served. Probably not suited to families with small(?) children
A beautiful place to relax after a long journey. Excellent service and friendly staff. Quiet rural setting, ideal for a short break.
charming location and really friendly people.
An excellent and really nice place. Nice room with a touch of "Nordic design". Fresh and clean. Run by a dutch couple that were really nice and helpful.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. We received a warm welcome. The whole site is new and of an interesting design. Wonderful breakfast in poolside lodge.
Very friendly; hygienic; fresh breakfast and other food by request; good shower and spacious room; pleasant setting Bed was a little hard; could have used a desk in the room but probably better that there wasn't; would have liked more in-house dining as local restaurants left things to be desired.
The hotel was great, new and very clean and cosy, and the location was beatiful. The owners/administrators were very warm, gentle and nice. They were very close to our needs and suggest us places to visit and restaurantes. They were very helpful. There were not shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, just soap.
Very attentive service, from booking in, showing us the room, explaining about what was available in the area and even offering to take us to and bring us back from the local restaurant if we wanted to drink. Breakfast, typically french but delicious. Ingeniously eco friendly, throughout the hotel. Nothing
kindness of the people. charm of the place
Excellent restaurant and location
Total professionalism of the staff and service. Excellent food. Extremely friendly atmosphere and warm welcome. Delightful big room and huge bathroom. No
Nothing It was closed when we arrived at 16.30 and only opened at 18.00. There was only one staff nearly all the time. It was expensive in relation to the facilities provided.
The nice staff, the garden and the pool. The animals. Noice traffic in room towards the road.
Everything was perfect - a wonderful place and wonderful value for money
Situation and ambience
friendly owners, excellent food, beautiful rooms, very quiet a little bit out of town on the by pass
The helpful staff, swimming pool, delicious breakfast and dinner.
Although the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed. The owner of this beautifully converted chateau made us a delightful meal as we had been travelling all day. Small intimate hotel run by a husband and wife team that made us very welcome. Well worth a visit.
Welcome was excellent we were sorry not being able to stay longer. Definitely a place to come back too. (Next time we will ask for a larger room!) Too little light and sebsequent some difficulty closing the external shades from the windows.
the hotel proprietor was very welcoming and charming, the room was nicely decorated, pretty and cosy.the evening meal was excellent and the pastry to die for! my only slight negative was the price of the wines which I thought were a bit on the high side
The charming owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The accommodation was most attractive and comfortable.
The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel had a swimming pool and a nice garden (and donkeys!). We had the set menu in the evening and food was fantastic. We only stayed one night but I would definitely go back, if only for the food.
The manager tried very hard to overcome the shortcomings by whizzing around and being very pleasant and helpful The room was too small and claustrophobic - lovely old building had been gutted and filled with plastic box type rooms
Traditional French style. Good food. No hairdryer in room.
Location very good. You get what you pay for.
Receptionist when we arrived was particularly welcoming and helpful. food was good - very old historic town was most interesting and well cared for photos of the hotel did not show that it sits right on the pavement of a busy high street and the noise that generates. also there is piped American/British style music all day in this High Street which is only turned off when the Town Hall people go home!! 2. The outside of the hotel is over 300 years old-------but the inside has been 100 % gutted - and the man made furniture moved in along with low ceilings - all very clean and tidy - fine for the business man, but as far as we were concerned all character had been lost.
The restaurant was excellent! Our room was in an adjacent building on the second floor with no lift.
The helpful staff and food The negative selections above reflect the urgent need for the forthcoming rebuild of the hotel-clearly long overdue. The rooms, and we saw several, were very poor. When rebuilt, if the quality of staff is a marker, the hotel will be very satisfactory and can then be recommended
Excellent location; interesting town, excellent dinner, pleasant staff Poor room, poor towels
Very good food, if a bit expensive
