Osijek Hotels

I accidentally had to stay in Osijek one night because I missed a train connection. It turned out to be a pleasant accident, because this hotel was such a pleasure. My room was huge, clean, and comfortable, and had a wonderful view of the river. The staff was pleasant and as a woman traveling alone I felt comfortable. Most important might be the location - you can step out of your hotel and be in the most pretty and interesting part of the city, yet the hotel is not noisy or old (which can sometimes be the case for centrally located hotels.) The modern comfort in the great location comes at a cost- when you look at the landscape along the river, this hotel stands out as a bit of an architectural eyesore.

People are great and really helpful. Kind, professional and diligent. Place is spotless. Great location in heart of Osijek and on river Drava. Utility works really well and nothing is missing. You will have it all. Hotel Osijek is only true hotel in city of Osijek. In comparison to other hotels here, Osijek is worth money and it is only choice. Food is fresh, well made and wine is really good. I enjoy it. WiFi. If internet is very important to you, you will need to work it out and fight for it. WiFi is spotty and it is braking down too often. Stuff is ready to argue that you ARE connected despite of fact that you are NOT. Apparently it is that Apple issue... I'm staying in Osijek one or two times in last 6 years and I did seen progress here but not really solved despite my complains. Bread and food here are not gluten free. Menu indicating this with icon next to meal. GYM in hotel is really under-considered to be real "GYM". It is way too small with limited equipment. It is a joke. Also I wish it is not under key locked, so every time you will need to ask for somebody to unlock. Feel like verboten spot in hotel.

Spacious room and relaxed atmosphere. Access to internet. Attention to detail. The bed sheets were a bit rough.
