And for me, it's unforgivable. The hotel looks nice, either new or newly remodeled. It's close to I-24, to restaurants, and to (I think) a mall. We checked in late with a very polite and efficient desk person. The problem was that our non-smoking room smelled like an ashtray -- either it had relatively recently been converted from a smoking room, the ventilation system was shared with one, or the cleaning crew smoked while they worked. It was after midnight so we just turned the AC up full blast, didn't open the suitcase, and waited to shower in the next hotel the next afternoon. Funny thing was that there was a stern warning sign in the bathroom that there would be a steep charge if anyone smoked in the room -- as if they could tell.
A very nice place to stay with a friendly staff. I really enjoy the breakfast served each morning, although the sausage was a little too spicy.
The Country Inn & Suites in Paducah is a terrific place to stay for business. I was in town for a few days making sales calls. The wireless internet was a god-send, as I was able to access the web from my laptop by the indoor pool and breakfast area. The breakfast was impressive, including biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, waffles, and much more. \nThe rooms were clean and comfortable. I had a two room suite, it had a seperate living area with a big desk, microwave, fridge, and wet bar. The bedroom was accessed through a another door, which was great, as I could keep my 'work' seperated from my sleeping area. The staff was very friendly, housekeeping made sure to bring me extra towels and toiletries every day, even though I asked for it just once.\nDefintely reccomend this hotel - the location is easy, just off the interstate and there are plenty of restuarants and a big mall all within walking distance.
The room was fresh and new. It was very comfortable. Most impressive was how friendly the entire staff was. Breakfast was very nice. Enjoyed the waffle maker!
Spotless rooms, fairly roomy, comfortable bed, free high-speed Internet, rates reasonable. Two lamps in my room don't work. Cheap radio. Coffee cups and water glasses were plastic; I like ceramic and glass. No thermostat in room, only ''high-low'' controls.
Based on the hotel features provided on-line, we were expecting a better hot breakfast. The breakfast room was crowded and the hot breakfast limited to waffles. Overall, the room was clean and neat; the staff was courteous; it was very convenient to restaurants. We would stay again.
We loved staying here. It was spotlesslessly clean, the beds were very comfortable (slept like a baby) No need to bring your own pillow! The people at the desk were friendly and very helpful. We would recommend it highly to one and all and we'll be going back
Country Inn was convenient, clean, friendly, quiet, and well-priced! I would stay there again.
The bed needs replacing soon. It tended to roll us to the middle. Overall, though, we would probably stay there again. The price was right. Parking is unusual....
Almost all was good, just stay away from room 311 next to the elevator, noisy in room.
Our stay @ this hotel was wonderful! I love the totally non smoking hotel! The maid was very accomodating and did special touches in the room. I would have liked less sugary breakfast foods. I am on a low carbohydrate/diabetic diet and there were not many choices. Over all a very nice hotel! Very spacious, clean, pretty room!
We had a great stay! This small hotel felt warm and hospitable. The kitchen and front desk area felt like you were in your own home. Hardwood floors, warm room colors, and great people made it worth the stay!
