Pros: The property was absolutely beautiful with a great view of the ocean, a big swimming pool, and gorgeous amenities. The food was absolutely amazing and the best breakfast I may have had in this country. The owners are truly kind and helpful people. I highly recommend this place!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
Pros: We liked everything! The owner was very welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. The food was varied and very tasty. From the terrace was a magnificent view of the sea! A lot of thanks to the owner!

Cons: Pool took long hours to fill but was ready by 6pm. Open all night.
Pros: Dinner was great!! And we were served in the nice terrace. Cordiality if the staff.
Cons: The furniture of the room and overall interior. Breakfast is not a buffet.
Pros: The staff was nice and the property was clean and safe.
Cons: The hotel’s location was terrible. The closest beaches were too rocky and the water too rough to swim in. Not very many local businesses were open past 10 or 11.
Pros: The spaguettis, very goods. The location is quiet and near of "Los Patos". Touristic place. Near, also, of the Los Cocos wind farm.
Cons: The doors and the windows of the rooms are very old and don't provide adecuate isolation for sounds and air, from the outside. The wifi connection was poor and with difficulties to connect. The hot water sometimes fail. The breakfast don't offer enough options, eggs and little more. The dinner yes, several options, including fish and seafood but, too much cooked all. The swimming pool, without water enough to use it. Very expensive all for the quality offered.
Pros: The eggs during breakfast were tasty.
Cons: South "Beach" hotel but no beach at all (cannot even walk to). Location is a bit in the middle of nowhere. Swimming pool was half empty so didn't use. No breakfast buffet but rather some eggs and some bread + tea/coffee.
Pros: The place was beautifully maintained. Very clean and food was delicious.
With a stay at Hotel Piratas del Caribe in Paraiso, you'll be a 5-minute walk from Old Central Park and within a 5-minute drive of Los Patos Beach.
Pros: Breakfast wasn't bad and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: It was the hottest room I have ever stayed in. When we arrived there was no grid power therefore no air conditioning. You could open the windows but there were no screens and a lot of mosquitoes. Decided to take a shower to cool off but there was no water either. When the power did come on the air conditioner only blew hot air.
Pros: The service was superb.
Cons: The owner struggles to prevent blaring music from an adjacent bar from disturbing his guests. It will interfere if you are a light sleeper.
Pros: The room was comfortable and the staff friendly
Cons: The beaches nearby had too much debree
Pros: It was a small, intimate hotel. The room and bathroom were large and had covered private verandah for the upstairs rooms. Nice attention to construction details and use of local materials. The verandah was a huge plus , we ate breakfast and supper there each evening.
Cons: The hotel is in front of the towns cantral park, and the first evening was very loud with local music and many visitors. It certainly added Dominican atmosphere, but we were looking for something more peaceful. There was no water pressure unless there was power, and the power outages were long. Difficult to shower under the cool dribble of water that came from the shower head. No hot water. The hotel advertised a restaurant, but the menu was very limited and of the dishes advertised a number were not available. We are happy that the hotel respects the breeding season for lobster, but would be nice to include that information on the menu, with the dates, so that expectations are not raised.

Featured amenities include express check-in, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: Hot water
Cons: There is no road to go to the hotel. Is a rock path and it was very hard for the car to go through. The parking is very limited. The property is old. The bathroom did not have soap, towels or toilet paper.
Pros: The room had some issues with the air conditioner and the fan, but the owner help us solve the issue by giving us another room.
Cons: The room was recently painted and it was still smelling to fresh paint.
Pros: The owner is friendly and cooks very well. Los patos in general is a cute little town and worth a stop, especially the section where the river meets the sea.
Cons: The property was probably nice some years ago, now it feels a bit abandonned with cleaning/ construction stuff lying around. The room was shabby and we had to ask twice to get the water in the shower work, and it still just came out drop by drop. Overall way overpriced for what it is.
Pros: The owner was flexible enough to let us check out after the first night and pay only one night, whilst we had booked two nights.
Cons: We booked a Queen economy room and when we arrived the room had no air conditioning, the toilet wasn’t working, there were no mosquito nets in the windows and the room was drab in general. So totally opposite what was described on booking.com. We were allowed to switch to another room with air conditioning, but this was with only one window facing a wall, and it was dirty with old cobwebs on the ceiling etc. There were used soap bars from previous guests in the shower, indicating that there had not been a proper cleaning before our stay. Also there were holes in the mosquito nets here. We booked including breakfast, which meant you could pick 1 thing from the breakfast menu, but for example fruit was a separate entity so if you wanted fruit that was all you got (or you had to pay extra). We also ate dinner at their restaurant the first night, and the pasta was very salty which we pointed out. The lady in the kitchen was asked to make me a new one, but the owner came to me to point out that it was actually not salt at all, just spicy. Like as if I can’t taste that difference and regardless, maybe not the best way to react to a guest’s complaint. The fish was okay though, but not spectacular.
Pros: Very nice grounds and pool, nice views of the ocean from some rooms, good linens and towels, good wi-fi. Very peasant owner and staff and the breakfast and coffee was fantastic. Only a few minutes walk to the beach, river and stores.
Cons: There was some confusion on my room rate, even after showing a copy of my room reservation. Perhaps it was a language barrier issue. The walk up the short dirt road was not a problem for me but if one has a problem walking and no car, the walk up the short dirt road maybe a problem.
