This is a good hotel if you want something in a great location with no frills. Very simple, clean and nothing special. The breakfast was a lot better than I thought it would be. Rooms were simple, small and clean. The bathroom was nice and good sized.
The hotel is of a very high standard in terms of design, comfort and guest services. It is very conveniently located very close to both the airport, main train station and city center. The breakfast is extensive with many items of gourmet quality. The staff are friendly and professional and I highly recommend this hotel in Pisa.
Not too far away from all the sights, pleasant and helpful staff and extremely clean rooms, very good breakfast buffet. No evening dining room.
Convenient to the railway station, shopping centre and main attractions.
Good location. Good value for the money. Don't bother with the breakfast if it is not included in your reservation. It is not worth the price.
central location, good room rate no view - room 305 looked onto an enclosed air well/vent but the rate was a good one so not too bothered
I liked the friendliness of the staff as well as the central location and value for money. Nothing!
The location was good. Walking distance from everything important. Nothing, was pleased with service.
From the greeting at the front desk to the cleanliness of our room everything was excellent
Helpful and knowledgeable staff - we asked about places to eat and were directed to a superb pizzeria around the corner No.
The location of the hotel was very good, we were near the main train station and the restaurants and bars. The room was functional for our needs. The hotel advertised a shuttle bus to the airport however none exists, this was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. The receptionist was quite rude on check when we asked about the shuttle service.
Attractive decor - reception/help
The staff were very helpful and the location is excellent as its around the corner from the Tower and Duomo etc. The lack of a working air conditioner! This was a major inconveience in the torrid heat of a July night. We arrived late (around 1a.m.) and by the time it was apparent that the all the airconditioner could do was make lots of noise it was too late to get the matter resolved. As we were only staying for one night I cannot say if they fixed it in time for the next occupants.
location and service
The room was elegant, excellent Restaurant services in evenings could be improved to the same level as the rest of the hotel.
Location very close to the leaning tower of Pisa, the barman was an absolute star, like a favourite grandad, you want to take him home!!! We were given a fairly poor room off a corridor behind the bar.....We didnt really pay very much so cant complain,I think there was a conference going on so maybe they got the best rooms....Anyway it was quiet(for Italy)!!!Shower was extremely poor and small(more water on the floor than anywhere else)..
I especially liked the location and got a great view of The Leaning Tower of Pisa from our room which is within a three minute walk.
Fantastic location if you want to be close to the main monuments in Pisa. Bed's were very hard.
the hotel was perfectly located for the square, it is a lovely hotel, yes it maybe old fashioned but thats what gives it its character, we were very happy with it.
Its location and the proximity to major sights in Pisa. The hotel offered reasonable facilities for the price charged Poor information on how to access the hotel by car. For a first time visitor to Pisa the need for authorization to access the city center is no obvious and the hotel could have given advanced assistance by providing suitable information. The breakfast room staff seemed to consider serving was a favour provided to guests rather than a paid for service!
Excellent location- 2 minute walk to the Tower of Pisa and easy reach to shops. Staff are extremely helpful. Highly recommended.
The location is unbeatable. From the rooftop you have an outstanding view of the Tower. The hotel is on the older side. Many of the rooms just need to updated and renovated.
Very high standard of accommodation in a most convenient location. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent.
The hotel is in perfect location very close to the leaning tower of Pisa. Lorenzo the front desk receptionist was very helpful & has excellent rapport. The rooftop restaurant has a excellent view of the dome & leaning tower & sunset but was not impressed with the waiters & has a limited selection of dishes.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast included was excellent. We seemed to be put in rooms that were below the standard of the rest of the hotel. On our second stay, we were unable to use the showers as no curtain or shower mount on the wall, and the bathrooms were of a poor standard, a couple of the towels in one room were visibly dirty as though trodden on. Three beds were also put into a two bed room. As a business traveller who stays in hotels frequently the rooms were way below even the most basic hotel in the uk.
cleanliness of rooms, friendly staff,
The hotel staff were nice, natural, prompt and efficient. I liked them and appreciated their behavior.I felt I could rely on help from them if needed. The design of it, but it's nothing to complain about.
This place is only few minutes from the train station and they had a wonderful breakfast area with a very good breakfast buffet. Front desk staff was very nice. From the photos it looked nicer than it really is. My bathroom was not completely clean - the toilet especially so I didn't appreciate that. Also the walls or door insulation wasn't good so whenever someone was going to the room at night I could hear that. Other than that everything was good.
Close to train station (few steps) and 5 minutes drive to airport. Excellent for late or early flights. Room was clean and comfortable. Coffee only available in afternoon since they want you to have the overpriced breakfast in the morning.
Proximity to the Railway Station. The Shuttle Service from the Airport.
The bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival was a great perk!
Good location, close to station. n/a
nothing good The hotel is too old and the facilities are very bad. I got a tiny single room with bad bath room. It's the worst 3 stars hotel that I ever stayed in
The Hotel La Pace was situated very near the railway station. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel. The rooms are a bit old fashioned but being a constant visitor to Italy this seems to be the norm.
a very good service and helpfullness
The location was very convenient to the train station, airport, and the historic sights of Pisa. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. The front desk staff was very friendly. We checked in late at night, and the front desk person was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Check out with other staff was the same. The room was clean and met our expectations. The immediate block or two right around the hotel felt a little unsafe late at night, but the front desk staff was very helpful in recommending where to go and what areas were safe for walking at that time. During the day, the area did not feel unsafe.
atmosphere poor breakfast, some ham and cheese would be good to have
The hotel was fine for a overnight stay. Not very happy with the front desk support. Though good value for money & exellant location.
the view from the room noisey with being on a main road. not a very good breakfast.
View was wonderful. Tower just across the road. Breakfast was basic, could do better.
This is the hotell that i never will visit anymore. The noise from the trafikk was terrible.
Excellent value for money. The manager was very pleasant and helpful. The location was truly excellent as it was just across the road from the cathedral and tower and very close to restaurants and the old town. The breakfast was also very good with meat and cheese, yoghurt and fruit. The heating could not be controlled so was on very hot and we had to open the windows to keep the room at a comfortable temperature.
good location, very close to the center
Across road from Leaning Tower & Cathedral. Cd not be more convenient for them
Nice hotel, nice staff, good location. Nothing
Near the leaning tower and busstation to airport, espresso at the breakfast. Price is high, a lot of traffic-noise, breakfast was very simple.
The hotel is located in the old part of town, just 5 minutes' walk to the Tower and cathedral. It has a very good restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful.
excellent location to city center, pleasant staff, good serviceand a very rich breakfast.very nice terrace to have breakfast. small rooms needs plasma screen for TV.
The friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism of the staff. The sheer beauty of the hotel. The breakfast. The eccentric light switches
Outside breakfast area was very pleasant. The staff were very helpful. The room was tiny which is why I only put 'fair' for 'value for money'.
The staff were very helpful and the room was lovely. The conservatory area of the dining room was very cold at breakfast (it was a very cold day!) and I did not like paying six euros for a coffee and seven euros for one standard glass of red wine.
near the centre of Pisa sites We did not feel that it justified its 5* status. At dinner they had a tasting menu that we were interested in but they said we would have to pay the full price without any discount although we were on 1/2 board. Also the dishes we did select did not arrive with their accompaniments on both dishes, mine supposed to have a carrot flan not there. we did mentin this to the staff and they said they would remember for next time! The deluxe room we were given was smaller than a lot of 4* that i have stayed in
The location of the Hotel was fantastic. Extremely close to the Tower but in a quiet street. The room was quite small, but they do warn you of this!
Tranquil and accessible. Bedroom rather small
Dining in the garden The food was poor
nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff they made you feel very welcome
The hotel is in a central area, at a walking distance to the tower, the stores and train station (in case you plan to visit other cities). I was very well treated in the hotel. Although I had to go to airport very early in the morning, I could have coffee and some biscuits in the reception, which it was very good for me and not so common to see in other hotels. The area of the hotel is noisy, particulary in the weekend. I had difficulty to sleep in the first days.
The location is beautiful, The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. The noise form the street.
The building is amazing and the staff are very friendly. I can only talk from the point of view of the rooms I saw but they appear shabby. Room 214 can best be described as a bathroom with a bed in it. If you took the wardrobe and tv out it would essntially be a prison cell. The second room I had was 310. Marginally better in that it was en suite. The fixtures in the bathroom are horrible. My shower door wouldn't slide open and close properly, the shower head doesn't look like it's been descaled in years and the water barely dribbles out at a tepid temperture. The rest of the bathroom just comes across as a bit unclean. The whole place could do with a lick of paint.
Nice old hotel.Good breakfast. It's sad to see an old hotel fall into disrepair. This would have been a grad hotel 100 years ago. The shell, dining area and feel are stil there, but the rest is in great need to modernization. Fixing th roof would be a good idea for a start. It would have meant I woldn't have been rained out of my room.
Buffect Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice, staff really friendly, Hotel very clean and just something different, unlike the modern run of the mill hotels - would definitely stay there again.
Spacious old interiors and furniture, historically interesting, with no unnecessary modern trappings Noise from nearby student quarters
I extremely enjoyed the historic interior - real 19th? century furniture, pictures, maps. Sound isolation is not very good. Though it is not a great problem.
The staff at the Royal Victoria Hotel were very helpful, room had very nice antique furniture and the breakfast was excellent
- Friendly staff - Nice Building - Quiet and within walking distance from the station / attractions - Had to pay to use Wi-Fi - Bathroom really needed updating (smallest shower I have ever been in, literally just enough room to stand up)
We liked the ambience of the hotel and the friendly staff
Close to the tower of Pisa in a quiet and old part of town. Having to wait ages to get the bill.
Very helpful chap at the front desk. Excellent location near the tower and numerous restaurants but in a nice quiet street and overall no real complaints. The lift was a bit tempremental and the breakfast somewhat limited but this didn't detract from our stay whatsoever.
Proximity to the Leaning Tower, the roof terrace, and their recommendation of a good, inexpensive eatery nearby We would have liked proper fresh coffee at breakfast rather than self-serve from a machine
The hotel was clean, everything was working. The room was a bit small but nicely furnished and the bed was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but not outstanding.
In a good location to tour the city of Pisa. Good staff, breakfast was good. No
We asked for three single beds and that's what we got. The breakfast was plentiful and amazing coffee machine, my kids really enjoyed it - reception had plenty of maps and advice also the night porter was really, really helpful knew where to get the best pizza, quickest taxis etc everyone spoke english when we got stuck and the room was cleaned properly everyday even the towels were all changed and they did fix the toilet noises. the furnishings were very basic and the beds not very comfortable, toilet made an awful noise for the first couple of nights but this was fixed. All the photos on the site were of the better half of the hotel so not what we were expecting but it wasn't bad.
A wonderfully friendly and helpful gentleman on reception who made us very welcome on our brief stay. The room was clean and adequate, if a little stuffy (it was mid summer). Easy walk to the Leaning Tower etc. The breakfast was not flash but we were all fed.
I ran the Pisa Marathon - and the hotel was in a great spot that was close to the finish and close to the bus pick-up on the morning of the race. The staff there were very friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff, central locations and free wifi the juice and coffee at breakfast aren't so good.
smart & welcoming - informal "family run" atmosphere
Friendly, helpfull, quite and clean with a lovely breakfast, Close to the station and within walking distance of the main sites of Pisa.
Room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Can't believe it's only a 3* hotel - better than the 4* we stayed in in Florence
We received a warm and cheerful welcome and every member of staff we met on reception was friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious compared to our previous hotel. The hotel was a five minute, flat walk from the station. The location was also ideal for our 5.30 am taxi pick up to the airport - what seemed a five minute journey. Unfortunately, this meant that we could not try the breakfast. Just a shame it was a transit hotel for us so we didn't manage to enjoy all it had to offer. Reception on Sky News channel not very good - but is that a problem when you are on holiday?
Good location close to train station and the city.
The size, comfort and cleanliness of the room. The location was convenient for the station. The air conditioning was rather inefficient for the height of summer. We have visited this hotel before when the weather was cooler and there was no problem. The choice for breakfast is rather limited - perhaps we were spoiled by the other hotels on this visit to Tuscany!
own parking place; good location, very nice and clean room, big, spacious room with spacious bathroom, nice lobby area with several of books about Tuscany, had to pay for parking, lobby area very loud of breakfast plates being washed in the morning
Good location for connection to train station and airport which is why I chose it. Efficient staff, decent facilities. No late night food available, arrived after 12am
Rooms very clean & comfortable, staff were helpful. We would stay in this Hotel again. Some outside traffic noise on ground floor, 7am breakfast was slightly late on the day we had to leave early.
Excellent hotel close to the Pisa Railway station. Nicely furnished room, decent breakfast definitely over the Italian avarage.
the room was very spacious an nicely decorated. The staff were helpful and genuinely pleasant.
beautiful immaculate hotel in an excellent location for all the main sights, very friendly staff, lovely garden, highly recommended 10 out of 10
Great location to check out the sites, lovely garden, clean rooms... Staff very helpful... Def recommend it!
situated convenient for sightseeing very close to leaning tower. Staff very pleasent.
It is beatifully remodeled and with a nice garden, the rooms are nicely appointed, the shutters do a great job of blocking the street noise, the air conditioning works well, the location is on a borderline street but only 2 blocks from the best sites. The staff are very accomodating but speak only a little English.
Pleasant decor Street noise and noise from building site next door and they tried to charge us for breakfast which was included in the booking
Evertything is brand new
There is very little to commend this hotel other than the fact it is in a good location It was like staying in an overpriced youth hostel. There is a curfew at 1am and, unbeleivably, they do not have 24 hour staff - we needed to book an early taxi and were unable to do so because nobody mans the hotel between 1am and 7am. For a supposed 4 star hotel asking 120 euros a night this is a joke. Also they are totally unfriendly and cannot speak english despite the fact it is an unashamed touist hotel 400 metres from the leaning tower. It was appalling all in all and we deeply regret staying there - they rely solely on their location which is not enough and I will be sure to communicate this on hotel review websites.
This is a beautiful family run boutique hotel located perfectly for the leaning tower. The rooms are modern and comfortable with beautifully painted ceilings and room names painted above the doors. The garden is perfect for relaxing at the end of the day and it definitely does not feel like you're in the city centre!
Great location in Pisa, very elegant furnishings, staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also a stunning garden for tired travellers! Parking on the street only.
Dingy, dull and at 40euro without breakfast was expensive. Could do with a updating. Nothing to recommend it aside from near a bus stop with direct service to the airport.
Renevations ongoing, internally looks really smart Very noisy, but part of being in middle of a city and having marble-esque staircases
Location; bus stop right at door; friendly staff at reception; first floor extremely loud, no door between hall way (bar) and guest rooms, thus difficult to sleep before last guests left bar
Half way between rail station and the tower, about 10 minute walk max from each. Easy to find, staff ok. Very basic old furniture, a 3 star hotel should have better decor inside. Bed comfortable and room size is ok, but the hotel is for sleeping only, no leasure or holiday purpose.
Staff were very helpfull, room was large clean and had air con. n/a
It is in a perfect location 700 meters from the leaning tower.
For an overnight stay, its location to the tower is excellent. carpet in room was dirty and old, needs to be replaced.
The Hotel was clean but on the second stay was charged £10 for parking, be warned Really could do with a good DIY person to fix all the ill fitting doors and window panes. (Noisey)
the price was so expensive
The staff were very helpful on how to get to places and gave us a wicked tip on where to eat dinner or have some drinks! We also had a lovely breakfast that they included in our bill. I would recommend this to anyone on a visit to Pisa it's central to all things. I loved it all! Except my friend who was snoring like a freight train :)
