We chose this hotel due to it's location. It was a very quick walk to the Oregon Convention Center. Additionally, it was very close to a lot of restaurants and they offered free parking. The hotel was in a quiet area which was nice and they let us check in early.
The hotel was not the greatest. It was definitely dated and needs some work.
Overall a good stay!
The place was clean, beds were comfy, the staff was nice and the location was good - stayed for Kumoricon, was about a five minute walk from the convention center, and the sauna was nice~
Free breakfast was scarce, poor water pressure for the shower, old building - no elevator (friends and I had lots of luggage), the key cards don't work at times - sometimes it took one try to get into the room other times it took up to 10 tries.
A budget downtown hotel for a short term excursion
-Location -Price is cheaper than surrounding hotels -Convenient access to I-5
-Very dated -Good price for the location, but this is not a $200/night hotel -TV, iron, furniture, etc should all be replaced and updated -Not the cleanest place I've stayed at
Great location, clean room, friendly staff.
Bathroom setup was tight and awkward.
Locks on the door. Toddler kept getting out. Needs a chain lock on the top. Found a dirty sock on the floor from the last guest. Coffee stains on the comforter also not ours. Beds were very uncomfortable. I felt like the beds were made and not changed.
Out of Downtown, but very close. Near Light-Rail and Max lines. Several breweries nearby and soooo close to the Pearl District.
Older facility, needs some upgrades. Entrance is hard to navigate with crutches, walker or wheelchair.
Rock solid motel
Clean, comfortable rooms. Quiet. Good location - convenient to everything we wanted to see. Free parking. Really nice staff.
I wish check-in was earlier. Most places have some flexibility there. But, it's a smaller place and if they can't, they can't.
The bathroom wax clean and looks new
Might need to update the blanket covers
Ample free parking, comfortable rooms, friendly staff,
I didn't like having to go through the lobby to get to my room.
Location is very nice - a lot of public transportation in walking distance.
It smells like an old hotel...
Great sub $100 Hotel
I have stayed here every time I have come to Portland for a Blazers game since 2013. This hotel always has wildly different pricing, when I booked this room the Shilo site was advertising $120, I paid $80 on Kayak. It's only a 5 minute walk to the Moda Center and the streetcar stop is right out front. Rooms are always clean and never get the "Oh crap, bedbugs" vibe.
Bagels with no cream cheese?? Really guys? And a 19" CRT? Pop for a TV from this century, even The Campus Inn in Eugene has LCD's.
Comfortable bed. Clean
No abc, cbs, or nbc. Had to go to the crowne plaza to watch badketball. Staff did not acknowledge us. Staff put leftover guest butter out for breakfast.
Located in Portland (Lloyd District), Shilo Inn Rose Garden - Oregon is within a 10-minute walk of Moda Center and Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Featured amenities include express check-out, a 24-hour front desk, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
