Hotel has fantastic views of Genovese fortress, cliffs, and sea from most of its rooms. The room has small balconies that make the value very worthwhile. Difficult to reach hotel without car. Public bus is available but there are no taxis from bus station to hotel. Need to walk about 500 meters to get to bus station from hotel.
nice view over the sea, cleaness no Wi-fi
Nice sea view. Private and free parking. Bad mattress. Internet wifi access is not free!
The view nothing in the room worked except the air con
the location, the view, the terrace, the space and cleanliness of the room the breakfast, it was disappointingly simple and much more expensive than its value
Setting, sea views, proximity to restaurants, sitting on balcony Shower was in bath with no fixing for the hose.
The staff were really pleasant and the pool area was nice, although the pool was small. Parking good if you get a space but you can easily park on the road anyway. The room was a bit dark but it had 2 large double beds and a single bed so was ideal for us as a family of 4. The beds were comfortable. Old fashioned bathroom but it all worked fine. No fridge in the room but staff froze our packs in fridge downstairs and let us borrow ice packs to keep things cool.I have no idea how prices compare but there is the Motel Hotel Corsica about 100m closer to the beach which had a really nice looking pool, and you might want to check this out before choosing.
Excellent location between Porto town and marina; high-speed WiFi; useful albeit small pool Breakfast much too basic and cheaper in bakershop next door
Nice simple rooms, big terrace, clean, pool Breakfast without meat, personnel not speaking English
friendly helpful staff, lovely views carpet in the room well used
The breakfast was(almost) nothing
Very nice hotel. Our first room was very good it was one of their most expensive ones. Due to problems with the ventilation we had to move to another room the last night and what a difference, it really neeeded upgrading.... I hope they can find the source for the smell of oil or gasoline we had the last night.
The staff particularly the reception were friendly. Although we had requested a twin room, we were given a double bed. We were able to switch rooms the next morning - pity it did not happen in the beginning. The hotel is a good 20-25 minute walk to the port where all the action is. Its great going downhill to the port but tough coming uphill in the heat. Not really - apart from the location which I've mentioned above.
Great view of the mountains. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Excellent location, easy parking, clean simple rooms, friendly staff, good value. Decor and buildings a little weary.
nice location, big and nice room for resonable price, very quiet even durring windy day and storm hotel from outside looks old fashion but anyway inside is more important
A very good hotel. Clean, pool, great location, parking... We will return. -
electricity system problem, suddenly shut down three times!
Nice people, localtion, value for money, nothing
The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome even only for a short stay we stay at the Colombo for two nights on our travels around Corsica the journey to the hotel was a little errie from Calvi and in the early evening around the mountain passes from the Ferry Terminal but we arrived ok. Thank you for our stay The Bury Family
The forniture in the bathroom
Close proximity to the town and beach. A good selection of restaurants nearby. Clean but had a rather run-down and neglected feel about it.
The location of the hotel is great. Our quadruple room had fantastic balcony views of the mountains and the sea/ sunset. The breakfast in the garden was included in the price and very good. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. As there is no air conditioning, the room would be better if it had a fan to keep you cool at night/ keep any mosquitoes away.
The view from the balcony of the room was fantastic. Actually, we had opted for a garden-view room with cheaper price, but when we checked-in, we were notified that we were transferred to a sea-view room at no extra cost. Well, the sea was a bit far but it had a fantastic view of mountains right in the front and all around. Receptionist was very kind and helpful. Bathroom was very small with a stupid sliding door that did not completely close leaving a gap. So, you can see your friend having a bath. joking! but you need to ask for privacy while having a shower.
The nearby town of Porto. The hotel is cheap and chearful, there are no frills and its a good 15 to 20 minutes to the town on foot. For the price it is fair and the breakfast is filling.
Very friendly staff & large room. Great breakfast in the garden Room had no view - rooms at the back have all the good views - try & request one of these.
Gorgeous view from huge balcony, the bathroom is brandnew and very stylish (in contrary to some old comments on booking.com!!!). The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The doors would need som renovation.
Nice environment, silence... No
Excellent caring, considerate, helpful Staff Very good room, but a bath would have been nice Good breakfast Useful to have free internet access Very clean everywhere Difficult to find the hotel as it was not in Porto Cervo, as advertised, but the hotel was in a nice residential location close to Port Cervo It was unfortunate that building work was taking place opposite the hotel
The location was excellent and the hotel well decorated and spotless. Welcoming staff.
The view of the bay from the hotel is enjoyable, but the real "bella vista" is the mountains the hotel guests can see from their room windows. They are simply magnificent. The restaurant serves quite good food withtout costing too much.
Recently refurbished Distance from port area - did not appreciate when booking too far to walk. Breakfast quite expensive and would probably have gone elsewhere if somewhere in walking distance.
Wonderful food : excellent breakfast and very nice dinner The bedding was not very comfortable
Charming helpful staff None
I liked that the staff could communicate in English. Wireless internet in reception. To many stairways.
loveley hillside location.room good breakfast good parking good.good view
Its well named- the views are beautiful. The colours on the rocks as the sun sets are extraordinary and you can watch them while you eat very well in the hotel's restaurant. The bedroom of the suite has np window although it does have a glass door into the adjoining room which does. The terrace has the potential to be really attractive but was weedy and unkempt when we were there. The web site does mention that its not in the village but its further away than we anticipated - a long walk in fact- and although we did get parked in the small area later guests had to park on the narrow and busy main road
The six rooms with sea and mountains look are impressive. As hotel, it is OK and you get what you paid for
Very simple hotel with a nice view and near the village center where we can eat easily burning grass near the hotel which smells bad... but it is not the hotel fault !
Easy to walk into town Breakfast only served from 08.10 - 09.00
location, thick shades on the windows uncomfortable bed, old furniture in room, poorly designed bathroom (no shower curtain, wc crammed in one corner, etc), very thin walls.
Perfect location for everybody exploring surrounding regions. Short travel to nice beaches and bigger towns as well as to trailheads of major walking/hiking routes.
Very nice decor, large bathroom, great view of mountain & sea, large croissant, baguette and glass of orange juice. Surprised to receive 30% discount off internet price when making payment. Excellent value for money.
I really like the peace I had it there, because this hotel is beside one bigger city.
The view from the balcony was nice, the room itself is a little outdated, with a mish mash of old and new and isn't to everyones taste, but more importantly everything was functional, which for me was more important than anything else, after all i'm not buying the room! Coming down stairs to have breakfast and seeing it already laid out,i think for health and contamination reasons is wrong!
My husband, our 14-month-old son and I enjoyed 5 nights in an apartment here. The rooms were simply furnished and very comfortable. The location was great - stunning sea vistas and a short stroll to the town of Cargese. The staff were very friendly and were very interested in making our stay enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful introduction to Corsica.
The staff was wery kindly - mostly Theo - and helpful. The room was very nice and clean and the kitchen very well-appointed. It was really wonderful! Nagyon jól felszerelt az apartmann, nagyon kedvesek és segítőkészek, a városka gyönyörű és jól lehet innen kirándulni. Super volt! The internet can use only in Recepcion:(
Room with a view over the blue sea, proximity to lovely town --- all walkable, choice of restaurants, nearby towns and seaside walks. Perfect for off-season (October). Staff immediately responsive to our few requests. All in all, this was a delightful discovery for our 5 day visit to a gorgeous region of Corsica! Would have appreciated a water boiler/microwave, but we managed without for 5 days. Also, internet access meant sitting outside on the acceuil terrace --- but, the weather was warm and sunny, and it worked!
Easy access to town, friendly helpful staff and lovely views of the sea very minor point but the beds are a little uncomfortable
