The staff and the location. Decor. Need to update!
The bed was great, the room was fine. Requested a second bath towel two times. Waited an hour, but never received it. My 6'7" husband had to use hand towels to dry off after his shower.
The room was modern and bed was comfortabke The river view, which of corse costs extra, was mostly blocked by shrubbery.
Well maintained home and beautiful property over-looking the river. Excellent breakfasts and very friendly, helpful owner. Difficult to find. If you google for directions, it is not correct as it uses street name that no longer exists.. Bed was hard and pillows uncomfortable for me; however, my spouse was pleased with both.
Very good deal for the money.
We liked the variety with the free breakfast in the mornings. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We were treated badly by the manager because one of her employees said we could pay the pet fee and bring in our small bird. The manager called my father two days later and said we were not allowed to have a bird and now the carpets had to be shampooed. We were also accused of not paying our hotel bill, which was a lie. When I talked to her later, she didn't seem to have a problem with the bill, just that we had a bird in the room. We were only there for three days and she made it a very stressful last third day. We will not recommend this hotel to other people. The two businesses that had recommended this hotel will not do so in the future because of how we were treated.
The full breakfast...pool. comfy bed. The hot tub was filthy and cold. The dining room too tiny to accommodate many people. ..took 40 mins for a waffle because they only have one machine and there was a line or people making 10 at a time. Pool hours should be longer...website false advertised 24 hour pool when only opened 0700-2300
This place is trying to be updated, freshened up here and there. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very cheap quality. Walls are paper thin, you can hear peoples full conversation in room next door, and people above you is ridiculous.
Clean, friendly front desk staff, good price for comparable hotels in the area. Breakfast could have been better. Although I didn't really need housekeeping, I didn't appreciate the note that stated that my "do not disturb" sign was "still" on at ___ o'clock (not filled in). It was on the door for only an hour the whole morning, while I took a shower and got ready after a run.
Very friendly front desk staff, large rooms, great price for Cd'A in mid-summer. Pool didn't look clean.
The location is good. The hotel is dated and dirty.
Location. Room was quiet. Pool seemed nice-didn't get to use it. Took 5-8 times for key to work in any door. TV was old and not compatible with current technology. Only about 12 channels and most were news or sports. Shower didn't work. Still not sure how I was charged since booked on line and only stayed one of two nights due. Was looking to relax and catch up on some TV and movies-mission was NOT accomplished!
I loved being able to get up in the morning and working out in the rec room. Then we went for a swim. Very nice! Personnel were helpful and nice. We had problems getting the door key to work.
nice staff, thick towels and clean rooms. Doors didn't fit snug in frame, floor above squeaked every time children above ran, jumped or walked, Could easily hear others in hall, Shower made terrible noise when turned on. Ice machine on second not working . We won't stay there again. Could see light and that TV was on in a room we passed to get to our room, at least 1/2 inch of space around door on 3 sides. Really makes one feel secure in locked room!
Price was good. I actually like how the breakfast wasn't all fancy- it was good and comprehensive, though, it didn't have a bunch of fancy tables and stuff.
someone at some time kicked in the door so it didn't close snug which was not comforting. shower was loud, low water pressure and very slow drain. the outside door was unlocked during the day and into evening so anyone can walk in. hallways and elevator not kept clean.
Bed was way to soft and No elevator
Bed was comfy and I liked the coffee maker There was no top lock so once my toddler found out she could open the door it was over. We spent the rest off the two days chasing her down
The the bed was comfy. The air conditioner was loud and making a lot weird noises. I've stayed in two Shilo inns this year and they both were in need of a face lift. We walked by the pool and it looked a bit murky.
Very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again
The breakfast was great, plenty of choices and was able to fuel up my family without paying an extra bill at a restaurant. Much more than just the average muffins and coffee! The entrance was a little confusing, had to drive a block through a strip mall parking lot to get to the hotel.
It was all very nice It was very expensive
Room was clean but the beds are hard as a rock. Breakfast was nice. Overall ambiance of the hotel was very nice. Pool was murky...not really sure why because it is an indoor pool. Bathroom set up in room is ridiculous. Lights and sink for bathroom are outside of it. Inconvenient to say the least.
Staff was excellent !!
Convent location, near interstate and also an easy drive to downtown Coeur d'Alene. While the bed was comfortable the pillows were way to soft. Need to include ones that are firmer. Breakfast items were just OK.
The location, the quietness which was very nice, and the free wi-fi. The pool was cold. For the amount of money we (and all others ) paid, the pool should be heated to a higher temperature! We tried to stay in it and get acclimated, but alas, just too cold. Also, for the breakfast room to only have ONE waffle maker for all the guests to use in the morning is ridiculous. The line was 8 people long...ugh. This size of hotel should have at least two waffle makers and a larger syrup container.
Excellent staff and very clean!
I thought that the value was good for the price. Easy to locate being right off the highway.
I appreciated having such a wonderful 'quiet' stay.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and roomy. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but we weren't expecting the free 'continental' breakfast.
The free breakfast was great.
I was there for 23 days and the staff was wonderful.
The beds are like a piece of plywood. Hard, hard, hard! The pillows are like flat pancakes. Even stacking up the two they give you didn't make one decent pillow. The rooms are very small. I had to move to the side of the toile in order to close the bathroom door. The kids went into the pool and the bottom of the pool is so rough that both of my boys actually came out with bleeding toes! If you stay there, take an egg crate foam with you for the bedtop, your own pillows and water socks for your feet to be able to use the pool. This place needs some major renovations and some money spent on the beds and pillows.
We loved this property. The management was FANTASTIC. Cleanliness is super important, and they diffinitley keep this in mind here. No complaints.
The accommodations were excellent and at such a value. Thank you! Everyone was friendly and helpful! Puts the chains such as Motel 6, Red Lion, Best Western, etc. to shame.
As we make this west-east commute we have always stayed overnight in Spokane- until one night we decided we were early enough to push on and stay the night a bit further down the road. How glad I am that we did so! We will continue to bypass Spokane in the future- this motel is by far a much better place to stop for the night.
Very clean place. I highly recommend.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room for the price, and clean room.
This hotel is brutal. The beds are hard and very uncomfortable - like a box spring with out a mattress on it. On the second night we were there we had noticed a gigantic spider, which the maid staff thought was a brown recluse (we later found out that it turned out to be a female hobo spider). The maid had informed us that this is the third incident in room 120. After requesting we move, we had problems with the front desk. There was no apology by the staff and no effort to fumigate the room. They put new people in right away. Obviously they have a problem. We called for a late check out - which is about 1 hour later - we were told it was okay. In the morning, the front desk was complaining about the late check out time. The front desk's attitude was very rude and their compassion was nonexistent. Personally, I would never stay here again and I advise you not to either.
Loved the entire decor and feel of the hotel…view wasn't all that great for the price and the rooms were quite small. I really loved the Paul Mitchell trio, cute night light, and the water pressure for the bathroom. The pool and hot tub were really big and nice. Overall I would come here again Small rooms
It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Was a bit loud. Walls are thin. Could hear conversations in the room next to us, doors slam.
Loved the location, cleanliness, beds are the best, great staff!
We felt pampered our whole stay. They were so accommodating and friendly. Truly high class.
Room was luxurious and comfortable. Parking is limited.
Great location--secluded, but still close to Couer d'Alene attractions. Very comfortable, interesting decor, hosts made you feel like family and they had lot of good advice regarding restaurants and local attractions. Breakfast was delicious and filling. My wife and I highly recommend this B & B.
Awesome budget friendly place to crash. Super friendly staff. Clean and comfortable.
The price, cleanliness, personal, friendly.
Very Clean. We were there to explore, we weren't there for a fancy hotel. This did it! It was VERY clean. People were friendly, lots of space. Again Clean, for allowing pets I was shocked. Bed was comfy, pillows were soft. Nice appearence inside and out, close to everything. I would HIGHLY suggest staying it, especially at this price. Honestly I didn't smell smoke and they wouldn't allow it. My fiance and I came, but will return with your kids. :)
Nice facility with friendly staff and breakfast. Pleasant 20 minute walk to the lake. We would definitely come back.
It was clean, was not dumpy, the staff was friendly, and single night visitors got breakfast
This is a great value hotel! It is for the most part simple, but our room was comfortable and clean. The TV was really nice. Nothing fancy but a great value for what you pay when you are looking for a place to get a good night's sleep. The heating/cooling system worked fine, but it did have a bit of a smell when we turned it on.
Well, to be perfectly honest, the reviews I read after I made the reservation and before I arrived were scary. I really didn't know what to expect, but went anyway. What I found surprised me. Understand, it IS a budget motel, so you see the plumbing under the sinks and there are no phones in the rooms, but who doesn't have a cell phone anymore. The staff, Megan was wonderful, the room had a microwave, coffee maker and fridge. The bathroom area had a hairdryer and the room was cleaned and made up everyday. The experience I had was nothing like the other reviewers. I'll stay there again. There was no pool so it wouldn't be good for families that are intending to stay put on the property. However, that having been said, it's Coeur D'Alene, why would you stay on the property. There was a slight problem with parking but nothing that wasn't manageable. All in All, I'll stay there agin.
The king room was very comfortable and quiet with room to move around freely. I'd requested extra towels and there were plenty. Breakfast was adequate, even though there was a swim team staying there at the same time. Just being changed over, so no proper signage--could see the old name and not the much smaller banner signage that did not cover the old name. Also was hard to find the way INN, since it was simply a drive way or alley past the IHOP in front. Could not access wifi even with the manager giving us a verbal run through.
The location was good. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. The fridge hadn't been checked since the previous guest and someone else's salad was still in there. The hot tub was absolutely filthy. There were so many chemicals in it that it made us cough just to be in the room and a window had to be left open because of the fumes. When we turned the Jets on, it foamed like a bubble bath. Gross!
I enjoyed a wonderful overnight lodging at Days Inn!
Central location. No micro range in room. Breakfast marginal.
The staff was helpful, room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was decent. Overall an enjoyable experience. Would book again.
The people were friendly and inviting and joked around while getting us checked in and out. Complimentary breakfast and extra toiletries were nice as well. The bed was not cleaned from the last person staying. There was food in the blanket still. The bathroom seemed dirty still like washed with water and nothing more. But the bath tub was gross. Whoever cleaned turned the water on sprayed it and then called it good. The couch as well in the room had some kind of hair that was never cleaned all over it.
All staff were helpful and accommodating. No extra fees for this & that. Soundproofing between rooms was a little weak. No donuts or pastries at breakfast, but lots of other choices.
Very nice, clean, comfortable, we have 2 dogs and we were made to feel very welcome.
The room was very nice, bed was comfortable. Good amenities and plenty of choices for breakfast. This was the first time I have had a negative comment about the cleanliness of a room at a Best Western facility. The top of the TV console also serves as a counter above the in-cabinet microwave. The person staying in the room before me (I hope it was immediately before me and not longer) had prepared something with a tomato sauce and a smear its remnants were crusted on the countertop. In addition, I found a couple of peanut M&M candies under the side table. Although tis is one of my favorite candies, I would have preferred a mint on the pillow. The front desk was notified upon my departure.
Great location, beautiful old building cleverly configured for duty as a B and B. Downtown water front is an easy walk and there are many restaurants and bars/pubs along the way.Be sure to check out the 3:15 Tapas. Yum. We were on the third floor and it was warm, and the window a/c unit had not been installed. Friendly staffer came up with a fan, and it was all good.
Location and great restaurant. Rooms very small. Staff not friendly. Hardly saw anyone. Furnishings old. Bathroom tiny. Sink in room.
It is advertised that parking is included but actually is on the street first come, first gets it.
Very quaint and close to activity. We did not encounter staff except to get keys to room. Breakfast was to be included but we did not receive one probably since we booked and immediately showed up about 4 pm.
Location, great restaurant, helpful and friendly bar/restaurant staff, character building, nice atmosphere.Quiet. Safe on-street parking. Breakfast! Selection was good but quality was poor. Pastries were stale and, if not eaten, were provided for the next day. Muesli was not always replenished and we had to ask for milk every day.Caliber of the breakfast was not consistent with the price
Lovely and personable hotel with modern conveniences while maintaining character and charm from another era. The restaurant is delicious with meals created from scratch and live music in the evenings. Fantastic dinner & *free* sit-down homemade breakfast!
This was a very nice Bed and Breakfast. Great room with a claw foot tub in the bathroom. Two common lounges with kitchens, cookies and treats for guests. Restaurant and full bar attached. Free homemade and delicious breakfast. Great walking location.
Our room # 4 was perfect and just what we were looking for. The food was delicious.
The staff was very friendly, the decorations were charming, the location was awesome. There is also a kitchen in the common area with a microwave. The fruit & pastry platter left for guests each morning was wonderful! The hotel has a restaurant down below and they play music every night. It's great if you want to go down and listen, but you can hear it a little bit in your room until 10 pm. It's not bad, but a little distracting.
Location, breakfast, and internet were all pretty good. The B&B atmosphere is certainly different from generic hotels. The feel is a little ackward for someone not used to the smaller personal atmosphere.
Terrific restaurant with live entertainment the night we were there. Bed and breakfast without the breakfast? Despite having a very nice restaurant, the breakfast consisted of a few items set aside for our room in a refrigerator located in a common area.
