I liked the style of the accommodation - Cape Dutch - and the cottage we stayed in to the side of the main house was very nice - fully equipped kitchen, lovely shower. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and all the art ironwork. Lovely place to sit in the evening to have a braai overlooking the fields.
Being a city person, I was a bit wary of the fact that the cottage was right on the edge of town down a dirt road, on a small holding and seemed a bit isolated. Even though I did enjoy the view and the peace and quiet. Most properties around seemed to be for sale. I felt that more lighting would have been good as the solar lights down the drive have seen their day.
Very nice host with good tips and a very lovely, rustic looking cottage. If there on a Saturday you should go to the market (and have a pancace :)
Old world feel and cleanliness . Very interesting art work and surrounding gardens . Really felt like we were on a karoo farm . Happy that it was pet friendly . A definite repeat stop over for future .
It was a little too dark unfortunately - thought it would be a little more modern
People tend to throw bones all over and our dogs kept finding them! Maybe encourage people to put bones in dustbin! Pool needs attention/ mosquitos!!!
