Amazing location and lovely people!
We had an upgrade for our honeymoon. The breakfast was delicious and pool area is beautiful. There are lovely beds where you can relax outdoors and we did just that! A stones throw from the beach, where there’s a beautiful sunset. Would recommend!
Small hotel, not many staff due to this and a little noisy being on the bottom floor. Also expensive for what it is, that said it stands out as a hotel by far in comparison to all accommodation on the island!
The facilities were comfortable and beautifully designed. Breakfast was good too. However, the services and attention provided by the staff (including manager) changed our perceptions completely and we were, therefore, very disappointed (considering the price we paid). If what you look is relaxing holidays with people who make your staying pleasant, definitely do not stay here.
Despite the facilities provided by the hotel, the price and attention provided by the staff (including the manager) were not really worth the price paid. Staff were not kind nor willing to provide any type of helpful information. This includes when requesting information on skydiving and taxi services and the answer we received was “just go to the center and you can ask there” in a not friendly but annoyed manner. We paid a considerable amount of money (as we were 5 people staying for 5 days) and believe me, there are nicer, cheaper and with more friendly staff hotels (yes, we visited some others like Albemarle and received high quality attention). In addition, there were some ongoing constructions which despite being announced to start late in the morning, started much earlier than what was promised! Also, the hot tub was not available (due to constructions) despite no previous announcement on this! From previous reviews, I see that this is a long standing issue! Apart from the breakfast (which was good in general) the food provided at the restaurant is not worth the price either. We went for dinner on the 1st night and our expectations lowered considerably. Almost gourmet dishes 3 times the price you find them in other places so ok the end we had to go somewhere else to get more food. If you want to have nice holidays surrounded by people who make you feel comfortable and are nice at you, you should not stay here.
Staff are incredibly helpful and gentle. If it was not for them, i would have left the first day and find another place to stay.
I was quite disappointed with my stay at Iguana Crossing. One of the main reasons I choose the hotel was the rooftop bar and the open air jacuzzi which are announced as available at booking.com. However, when I arrived I figured out both facilities were not open for guests and after looking at comments at booking.com I realized it has been like this since April at least. In other words, it has been at least 7 months both facilities are not available and they have not updated pictures or the information at booking.com home page. Moreover, for almost 250 USD per night - one of the most expensive hotels in Isabela - I was expecting much more. To be sincere, I truly believe that is bettwr to pay much less in othwr hotels that may not have a swimming pool but will have same quality rooms, breakfast, etc. Breakfast was just fine. For the price paid it should have additional options and more variety.
We stayed at the Iguana Crossing for 4 nights and really loved our stay here mainly for the very comfortable room and the amazing view of the Pacific Ocean as far as the eye can see. The common areas are stylish and nicely decorated, again with amazing views all through out. Breakfast was good and was varied enough for a 4-night stay. There is so much wildlife to see on the island and you don’t have to go that far from the property to experience this. Literally steps away and you get to see a lot already! Location is good, a short walk to town for restaurant options and tours, access to the boardwalk to the Tortoise center, flamingos, the beach, etc.
