Good breakfast. Good location, close to a nice park. Room was rather cold, no heating is envisaged, if it is not so warm outside in february (heater was brought to the room). Furniture in rooms is rather out-worn.
It is a beautiful spacious hotel with lovely gardens. Near an attracative park, it was an easy walk to the town centre. Good views from the room. Efficient cleaning. Food in hotel retaurant was excellent - but not cheap. There is no hotel parking and finding a space in the vicinity was a nightmare.
Wonderful old world hotel. Perhaps the brass is a bit dull but the gardens and location more than make up for any signs of aging over the years. The staff is great, the breakfast wonderful. Even the girl in the gift shop could not do enough for us - we love this hotel. We hope that with the renovation this year they don't lose any of their charm! Make sure to see the turtles!!! No complaints
The location of the hotel is excellent and the upgrade to a junior suite for 30 Euros is excellent value.
The faded elegance just gets away with it and the free bar snacks were terrific Only the lack of a pool and parking which I would have expected at 5 star
it was beautiful and old and a few weeks away from being renovated but it was wonderfully located great staff and would easily stay there again we checked in very early so we got one of the earliest roomsif we were going to stay more than two nights I would have wanted a better room
Very nice hotel and staff very helpfull. Get a court yard room if you like it quiet. Price about what you would expect for this quality hotel Swimming pool still not open. Not totaly up to UK 5* standards but very nice. Trffice and parking a nightmar.
Generosity of the hotel itself. The detail is made with a great attention. Great pool and a great staff by it, at the bars and casino. Receptionists were a little uneducated about Tenerife itself - I would be looking for more help and support from them.
On arrival we were greeted courteously and efficiently. The hotel is was large and spacious in a garden setting. Our room was well furnished though somewhat dated in style (the hotel is currently undergoing renovation - but no noise from any work activity). We stayed during a period of appallling weather in Tenerife - electricity supply was cut in Santa Cruz but at the hotel power was restored immediately. The damage tothe grounds was quickly cleared and restored. Staff were excellent providing information about the impact of the weather on flights and in providing information on the local weather. A very enjoyable stay. As with any five star hotel the cost of food is high - though as it was carnival in Santa Cruz costs of food everywhere rocketed so it would have been the same price to eat in the hotel as other places.
Good quality, clean, good staff. No Parking I had to leave my car and all my equipment 100k worth on a street. Very hard to find I drove past it 3 times before I stopped and asked for directions and found out I was there. More Sheraton signs needed. So discusted with parking I checked out after 1 night and moved.
Very good clean and friendly Nothing
Location, staff, facilities
We booked this hotel as it was easy to get to the airport and we had an early start the next day, the staff were friendly and professional.
Location of hotel - clean & modern. Very good value for money. Could not get room service after 11:30pm.
My partner and I found the staff to be very wecoming and courteous. The room was spotless, modern and well appointed. The fitness centre was well positioned and enjoyable. No. I honestly can't think of any drawbacks. We only stayed for one night, but if we stayed longer, my remarks would still be the same.
Very helpful in Reception. Everything in the room you need for a stay in the city. We had an American breakfast brought up to our room. What luxury!
Hotel was good and great location for shopping. Staff nice and helpful. We had to pay extra for the breakfast and I did not think it was worth it.
Clean business hotel close to the city center and shopping areas. One of the staff was extremely helpful during our stay where others were indifferent to our questions but in general we had very positive feelings about the hotel.
The central location of the hotel. Very professionally run hotel. Traffic noise in bedroom due to windows not sealing correctly. TV - more English stations required (English Satellite Sky News had no sound but good picture - unfortunately I cannot lip read!) I did not point these out to the staff as their English was limited and it wasnt that important.
I found the staff extremely helpful and very polite and friendly. Checking in and out was easy, no fuss. We were only there for one night so didn't really see the whole hotel.
The price was very reasonable and the internet worked very well (good performance and no issues with remote vpn connectivity). The breakfast wasn't too good and could have had a better selection of fresh fruit. The room had an air conditioner, but there was no control, only an on/off switch. It had one speed and one temperature, both of which were inappropriate for my comfort. The television was disconnected, and once I got the cable positioned so it would receive, the maximum volume was so low it was impossible to hear most channels unless one were sitting very quietly directly in front of the television. Fortunately the internet worked well.
Great location. It has parking ( essential for santa Cruz) Good breakfast, great value, with good updated rooms No, its great value
Great to have free internet access to new Mac's in front foyer. Nice to be close to large park across the road. The room was clean, simple and modern. Bed was comfortable. We had a leaky air conditioner and they relocated us to another room with little fuss and within minutes (at midnight!) which was great service. It would have been nice to have been given a local map on check-in...or perhaps given directions to the nearest supermarket and cafes. They were a little tricky to find.
value for money, upgraded room, more than adequate hot and cold buffet breakfast and location
The modern and classy design. The excellent breakfast and good restaurant. The fridge was rusty, and too small,
Th location was good for my needs Really hot in the hotel and room, AC not working, and staffed failed to mention that fact, and they acted like they just didn't care. Not even an apology. Internet not working in the room either. The last time I stayed at this hotel it was just average, this time it was horrible. Definitely not recommended, and I will not attempt to stay here again.
We had a halfboard option and were very satisfied with an evening meal. An elderly waiter guy was such a lovely and efficient made us so welcome.
Main bedroom and hotel clean and luxurious, food good Bathroom not decorated very well
Fantastic roof top pool, right next to excellent park, walking distance into old town clean hotel, better than some 4 star.
Walking distance to shopping and dining. Parking garage on site. Located on one way street, little bit hard to get to.
The hotel was a well designed environment, many hotels look the same the Hotel Contemporaeno was interesting in style which was refreshing. Nothing
Location and style
convenient location to my destination, good staff minimalistic room decor
A modern tastefully furnished and centrally located hotel with fine, well prepared and presented food in both the restaurant and from room sevice. The bedboom was small. Poor pictures quality on a limited cable TV system.
view, clean, parking, king size bed, comfortable the TV program was in Spanish only
The sea water pool was the best Just that there were to many old people and the night entertainment was specific to this age and it was very far from all turistic attraction points
quality/price ratio the fact that close to the hotel there is an industrial site, in fact it can be seen from the surroundings of the hotel
The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. I would like to visit again.
I found what I expected. Location is good , but hotel needs upgrading to justify 4 star category
This is an old hotel revamped to look modern. The walls dividing rooms are so thin that conversations/TV/snoring can be heard from the next room. The majority of guests during our stay were elderly pensioners and the restaurant staff treated them like children. The maitre'd, a woman, was particularly rude to us when we wanted to choose our own table in the restaurant. The buffet menu was almost identical every day and consisted of very cheap food, heinz beans, vienna sausages, pre-fried eggs complete with lace, greasy trays of bacon and tinned fruits. The presentation was abysmal, food piled high on trays as if it were trash There is no parking at the hotel so you are obliged to find street parking, I would never use this hotel again.
The garden Short time table at the restaturant ( closes to early)
Nothing above average, just a stopover location. Pool bar & terraces unkempt.
It was acceptable accommodation at a good price The breakfast buffet was very unapetising. I have not answered the questions about recommendation as for the right people it is fine - just not what we would want for more than a night. I didn't read the reviews
I enjoyed the various activities the hotel offered and the fact that even though it would be considered the "off" season our room was cleaned every day and the hotel staff were very helpful and energetic!! Also the hotel was clean throughout which i was happy to see. The only negative i witnessed at the hotel was some bar staff who were dealing directly with guests had little or no english which i was really suprised to see as i thought there main clientele would be english speaking!! oh and one of the pools could have been heated!!!
Variety of food. Pleasant reception staff. Entertainment staff really seemed to enjoy doing all those silly things! Rooms were inclined to be noisy. Doors banged very loudly all during night. Could have notices in lifts about noise at night. Had to buy cushions for loungers. Food was luke warm. Building and pool area would be much improved by lick of paint.
The room was well equipment and very clean. Good breakfast. Exellent location! Our room was very dark, window facing the inner yard. The sound of the ventilation in a yard disturbed.
Excellent location of the hotel, the breakfast was very complete and facilities The noise from the street
I loved the hotel and the staff were very friendly. The location was good, the room was clean and the breakfast was lovely. I had to leave early on the last day, so they gave me a packed breakfast. Perfect!!
Excellent location, good breakfast, friendly bar staff
the only good thing about this hotel is the position. Hotel needs to be renovated! For a bit more you can get much better in town.
Conveniently situated, friendly staff, clean good quality hotel at the price
midtown not much help with car parking from staff
Centrally located, less than 10 min walk to seafront, 5 mins to tram stop, 15 mins to main bus station. We had a very quiet room on the 7'th floor, with a view of the sea, overlooking a pedestrianised square and small park, but street noise did not disturb us. There is a good selection of restaurants in a couple of small side streets less than 5 mins walk from the hotel. Otherwise, for it's size, Santa Cruz does not offer many 'proper' restaurants, although there are many cafe/bar places which advertise "tapas", snacks and pizza. Comfortable dining room and a fair selection of items for the breakfast buffet. Free wifi in public areas and an internet-connected PC are available for hotel guests - which was useful. [Spanish keyboard!] We had to pay 2.50 euro/day to rent a key for the room safe, 17.50 for our stay. This facility should be included in the room rate, for a hotel of this class - or a nominal refundable deposit charged. The only English-language TV available in the room was CNN. We would have liked one BBC news channel (BBC World).
Comfortable and located near to where I need to be For some reason, the room I was n this time (I've statyed here frequently) was very short on power outlets for things like charging phones or computer batteries. There were no outlets on or near the desk, without unplugging the tv, Refrigerator or a lamp (lamp required moving a large heavy desk to reveal its somewhat hidden outlet. For business people, having at least one available outlet at the desk is very important.
Comfortable hotel not far from city centre. Large rooms. Good breakfast.
Nice Hotel, good value for the money. Quiet.
Calme malgrés sa situation dans le centre de la capital. Ptit Dej tres bien Pisine un peu petit mais suffisante vu la clientel de l'hotel
Breakfast and room service - Excellent!!! Restarant staff were not very friendly - Quite hostile, prahaps they had their customer service lessons yet at the hotel school.
Decoration of the room specially the bathroom was very nice and a very big tv.
Buffet breakfast selection very good
This is a hotel school so our expectations were unformed. I have to say we had a great time. The room was excellent only fault was it was a twin not a double but maybe if I had phoned before that would have been solveable. The chekin and out was fine. Service in the bar was slow but we were not in a hurry so this was fine. We wouls certainly visit again. nothing
Location and Quality Normally this hotel is great for a short business stat (I stay in Tenerife for 2 days every 3 to 4 weeks), but on my recent most stay the I encountered two issues; first, the shower did not work well. There was only a very little trickle of water coming out of the shower head, which made it completely ineffective for showering. Fortunately, the shower head in the tub did work well, which made it acceptable. Second, I decided to eat int he restaurant one night, and the selection I made (grilled tuna) was prepared very poorly. It was overcooked, and therefore dry and tough, making it impossible to finish eating. The breakfast was was good, but I would be careful about having an evening meal.
An excellent bathroom, all staff attentive, reception efficient. restaurant excellent food and attention. The air conditioning was a little over the top, especially in the restaurant, where if you didn´t eat quickly your food would go cold and the diners were putting on coats.
Breakfast , sitting area off bedroom although the seats were hard nothing major
there was no air/condition. a very busy road right beside the hotel .
It was centrally located and I was able to get Internet access. We found a cockroach in the walk-in wardrobe.
good location, the price, buffet breakfest Almost any leflet, brossures abot the cyty, excursion etc
Staff were friendly and helpful and very well mannered. The hotel is beautifully designed and luxurious in a quiet way. It was well worth the money. I would have liked a restaurant that catered to a less expensive meal and it only opened at 8:00 p.m. which was not convenitent for me. Also my eggs and bacon at breakfast were cold.
staff helpful and friendly clean 10 min walk to town centre generally good local area breakfast was well provided our rooms had alot of traffic noise from busy road outside ,decor dated, not very well sign posted
Within easy reach to the airport. Fair price. Clean.
central pool was not clean from leafs
Nice, quiet and comfortable hotel, perfect location only a few minutes from the shopping streets of Santa Cruz. Our room was big and nice with a terrace and pool view. After having spent a week in the noisy tourist machine of Costa Adeje, where we paid the double for a room of a lower standard than this, we were sorry that we hadn`t stayed here instead during our stay in Tenerife.
Friendly staff, spacious accommodation, lovely view, convenient location. We asked for a non-smoking room and it smelled heavily of smoke even after 3 days of leaving the windows open! The coffee at breakfast was not good as it was allowed to 'stand' - the rest of the breakfast was fine!
Great location--close to the harbor! The hotel was very modern and clean, reasonably priced, staff was friendly. We had 5 people and had to pay for 3 rooms; the 3 kids could have stayed in one room but only 2 people were allowed per room.
Superbly positioned hotel to visit all the sites and events of Santa Cruz.. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, staff very pleasant. Cecommend.ould r
the high quality of all no
The hotel was centrally located, the staff were very helpful and the roof terrace was an excellent place to relax. The room was well furnished and in good condition if a little on the small size!
Help from the staff for area advice and trips was awesome. The breakfast staff on one day was awefull, rude and did not want to be there. Also the hot tub was never on and I spent 3days trying to heat it with no staff helping at all. So I was unable to use it, I jumped in the cold water for 10mins and unlucky for me, got an ear infection.
interior modern design;central location in the capital.
Central location Driving to it was very difficult with one way streets and roadworks. The restaurant /bar area was not congenial to relax in and enjoy a meal - more like a cafe than a so-called high- class restaurant. Parking arrangements were interesting - don't go with a large car as it has to fit in the lift! Whoever designed the bathroom was crazy - a semi see-through glass door with no lock!!!!!!!
The location. My room was very dark and depressing. It had only one window which wasn't facing the street, but some sort of dark and empty 'patio'. The WiFi in the room is very expensive.
The staff was very friendly, the room tastefully furnished, the breakfast good, central location, roof terrace. My room was a little smelly. I could never work out why.
Very convenient location, hospitable service and very smart, clean and comfortable room. No complaints of any kind
its location not realiy
We felt we had secured a reasonable deal for a good quality room in a central location. Continental style breakfast was quite varied in options - cereals, meat, cheese, fruit, toast and spreads, etc The street noise was a minor issue if you are used to leaving the bedroom window open but can be alleviated by closing the window and benefitting from the available air-conditioning option or using ear plugs. Noise, as might have been expected, diminished after midnight. Beds quite firm but not unusual for a hotel bed.
central location, breakfast included, free wifi
Good breakfast Could be noisy
Excellent central location, modern clean rooms, helpful staff.
the best budget hotel in santa cruz! staff very helpful and fantastic location
Hotell staff, sevices, nice and clean Would have appreciated fresh fruit or vegetables instead of a lot of sweets and cakes at breakfast.
Location No bar
Location and staff very kindly
The hotel's location was superb. The rooms are recently decorated and pleasant. The beds could have been of a higher quality
The hotel and the place where it is located are magnificent.
The location is amazing, the scenary is breathtaking and the hotel facilities are just perfect (spa, 25 m swimming pool, restaurant: great food + meals and wines are ridiculously cheap!!!). Perfect to escape the mass-tourism of the Adeje coast or Playa de Las Americas and have a quiet time. The staff speaks perfect English and German (and of course Spanish).
The pool and jacuzzi - good, the restaurant was ok, nice views from the balcony, well appointed accommodation German. Too quiet. Too expensive.
good and cozzy breakfast, very good restaurant (balance between quality&price) no conditioner in the room
Calm, quiet, relaxing
situated on the best site, direct on the Ocean, many offers for relaxing, gym, and excursions, good breakfast with daily varieties, nice people and staff.
Super location Not international and no wifi
A well run hotel. Room bright and airy with a pristine bathroom. Magnificant views to the rocky beach with the sounds of the surf easliy audible. Also good views of Mount Tiede with glimpses of the mountains behind the hotel as well. Hospitable receptionist. Parking avaible and free. Reasonable breakfast. Fruit, flowers and bottled water in the room on arrival. Although the surrounding village was dramatically situated between sea and mountains, it was neither particulary attractive nor particalary interestinng; there was however a nice enough seaside promenade. Some aspects of the room decor may not appeal to all tastes.
Good hotel, clean, practical excellent down town location
some of the room decoration required refurbishment
we enjoyed the nearby facilities like shopping and restaurants was a good hotel
The location of the hotel is just perfect! Your staff in the reception were nice and helpful.
ideally situated for the purpose of my trip
Very good central location. The dinner (which is an extra, 12.90 EUR / day) was also very good and I recommend it. There is no internet in the rooms as advertised and I was really disappointed about that because this was the main reason for me to choose this hotel. The hotel is old and needs renovation. There was a leaking water noise coming from the bathroom and I had troubles to sleep because of that.
location there is not own parking
Good setting, small, very friendly personal, it was only much too windy so you couldn't use the swimming pool .
quiet lovely amazing view breakfast kould have been better
Perfect location, excellent stuff, good cuisine.
While isolated and in an unattractive agricultural area, the hotel is very private and is right on the edge of the ocean with magnificent sea views and sounds. There is nothing else nearby except tree farms. Restaurant is pleasant. Not expensive. Good range of local wines. Good breakfast. Hotel little tricky to find and could do with clearer directions on their site.
Fantastic location by the sea Lovely part of Tenerife. Hotel is based around an old house with antique furniture and paintings. Rooms are comfortable with sea views. Excellent food which is served outside if weather is OK. It is not easy to find but well worth it once you get there. You are a bit stuck without a car.
Our stay in hotel Nautico was for 6 nights and we were satisfied with the comfort of the our room, with the hotel staff (with their basic knowledge of English language but they were very friendly and it was not a problem to make basic conversation) and with the distance to the city center (10-12 minutes by walk) and to the Playa Teresitas (7-10 minutes by bus). Highly recommended place.
Quiet street, restaurants in walking distance. Overall good quality. Friendly staff. No elevator - be aware of this when you choose your room. Staff speaks poor English - can be a problem if you want to discuss some complex issue.
Breakfast included in a pastelaria close by. Staff was nice, rooms were recently renovated. Balcony & A/C. Street was calm. Easy to find a parking spot. No elevator. Only Spanish speaking channels on TV. A little far from the main living area of the city (restaurant, shops...).
The bathroom has a beautiful shower. I've reserved a double room with a double bed, but when we arrived, there was only twin bed : rotten beahaviour!! The breakfast is out of the hotel and the lift is not available.
