Free private parking is also available on site. There is a barbecue, a terrace and a sauna for guests recreation. A children's playground is there for smaller guests. Pros: We had a lodge on a camp site. Shower and bathroom outside was not a problem at all, they were close by and clean. Maria is very friendly, always ready to help. Great for kids (ours were 5 and 8) with a nice playground. In the middle of the nature and nicely designed and built.
Cons: The shared kitchen could be improved a bit, for example by providing warm water and plates.
Pros: Everything :) the best place to have a real vacation, especially with kids.
Pros: The place is amazing. We have booked there only one night and at once, after arrival we started to regret not having a longer stay there. This place offers you everything you need. It is great organized - all the facilities are available. The staff is really friendly. Definitely the best place on Saaremaa island to have a rest and completely relax.Great place to stay with children - nice playground available.I really recommend it!
Pros: Lovely place to spend your vacation at. Away from everything and yet close enough - Saaremaa, after all, is just an island :) But a very nice island with junipers. I enjoyed my stay a lot, swinging in a hammock and reading. Children had a lot of fun as there is a dedicated area for them with a number of things to do. And men had their quality time fishing.
Cons: The only thing I would change was the music. At some point, it was too loud and contradicted with my idea of weekend getaway scenery - peaceful and quiet place far away from everything where you have actually time to listen to your own thoughts, read and dream.
Pros: The host was exceptionally welcoming, in a charming environment. The bungalow room was really small, but perfect for one night. We enjoyed the small beach at walking distance.
Pros: The whole place is amazing, peaceful, green, spatious. Very thoughtful layout. Everything you might need, including kitchen, fridge, shower, tables, grill etc. Even a bar. The hostess made us feel very welcome and responded to all our needs. This all made our evening at the camping very relaxing and pleasant. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience and good luck!
Cons: The little houses for 2 people are nice and private and have enough place for comfortable sleeping, but are not the best choice on very hot summer nights due to lack of windows. To ensure enough air, you have to keep the door open during the night. The sea is indeed a short walk away from the camping, but the seaside is not very enjoyable. It more remains a lake or riverside with one narrow entrance into the water among the thick reeds.
Pros: Generous and welcoming hosts, amazing location and really comfortable accommodation. Lots of places to sit out and enjoy the weather, with thoughtful touches which made for a really great stay. Maria and her husband were great hosts who made us feel so welcome, even when we arrived really early. Having a wee bar on site for drinks or coffee was another lovely touch that made our stay. Thanks, Maria!
Pros: Really great and comfy place, Maria and her husband are very friendly hosts (i.e. they brought us mosquito repellent in the evening) and truly committed to their camp site.
Pros: Maria and Kalev are very accommodating and good hosts. The bar area is very cool and prices are really reasonable. Overall setup was thought through and looked amazing. Wish we could of stayed for longer!
Cons: Showers were a little small, but pressure was good.
Pros: Very remote place which is nice, lovely small village feeling with big yard with tons of things to do, especially for kids 1-6 years of age. Rustic but in a good sense. You have to take cash as there is no card payment (or ATM) present and if you want to prepare your own food, bring everything with you. All the places in Muhu island are also very close (by car), 10 minutes drive to a local bigger supermarket.
Cons: Just a personal convenience thing that the WC is situated a bit away from the houses and also the showers, so you have to walk (and in the middle of the night it might not be so nice).
Metsara B&B is situated in Pöide, 2 km from Tornimäe in the Saaremaa Region, and just 55 km from Kuressaare. Metsara B & B boasts a barbecue and views of the garden. The bed and breakfast has a terrace and sauna. Free private parking is available on site. Metsara B & B features free WiFi. Bike hire and car hire are available at this bed and breakfast and the area is popular for cycling. You can play darts at the bed and breakfast.
Pros: This place is dream come true where 18th century barn meets nowadays stylish design and comfort and all thanks to people who love this place and have brought new life to this exceptionally beautiful house. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed every minute of being there. All was great, breakfast was in time and especially we loved homemade buns with pumpkin seeds that added final touch to our summer getaway. Keep up the good work and we would love to visit this place again. Thank you for everything.
Pros: The fact that it was quiet and easily accessible.
Cons: The beds were too hard.
Pros: Very beautiful place where to stay. Super nice environment, excellent breakfast and super nice host. You will love this place! No mobile data coverage:) for me it was a plus!
Pros: I would imagine Saaremaa completely different without this place and its owners. The soul of authentic farmhouse restored with great attention to the details was even exceeded by the hosts' hospitality and a royal breakfast!
Cons: The only minus is that we could not stay there for longer due to the lack of our time in Saaremaa.
Pros: When I arrived after cycling in the rain for 6 hours a wood fire was warming the room. That alone is worth 11 of 10 points! Besides that the owners are very friendly and the breakfast was good. One of my best accomodations so far. Only the location is right in the middle of nowhere.
Pros: It very rarely that you get this simple yet tasteful interior in the countryside. The owners have a very good sense of taste. The renovation of this farm has been carried out very thoughtfully. Very green and peaceful garden with old trees, you can relax in the lounge chairs. Our room was located upstairs with a private entrance (wooden stairs from outside) and private shower and WC. The room was spacious. The breakfast was served on a terrace with a view towards a meadow (one of the guests had even seen a deer there). Highlight of the breakfast was definitely the burger buns, freshly baked by the hostess. Very good coffee and yogurt with oats and blueberries. The host also have us useful tips where to dine in Kuressaare. Good location not far from Kuressaare & Kali crater and also the port to mainland. The closest grocery store is in Orissaare within a few minutes drive.
Pros: We liked pretty much everything - from the way it was located (inside the forest) to the houses that looks like out of a fairy tale book to the most important thing - hosts/owners! They are a jewel of this place! They made our stay really enjoyable. And breakfast.. oh, it was so amazing and lavish that no luch was needed elsewhere. It can be seen and felt that so many love had been put into Metsara B&B. Many thanks! Until we return again for sure.
Pros: Exellent staff and place
Pros: The breakfast was especially lovely, the hosts were warm & kind people & surroundings were great
Cons: Perhaps then the far location of the toilets
Pros: So very nice farm environment, renovated with style
With a stay at Padaste Manor in Saaremaa, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Port of Kuivastu and St. Catherine Church. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location is an oasis of tranquility
Cons: We were enticed by the (self-awarded?) rating of Alexanders Restaurant as the best in Estonia. Our choice of Table d'Hôte menu comprised large artistically arranged plates with little food upon them. We commenced with seemingly exotic Ostrich Tartare, actually not very interesting, followed by a tiny sliver of grilled salmon, such as any ordinary restaurant might provide. Not needing a full bottle of wine, we selected what turned out to be a meagre volume of overpriced supermarket-grade French Provençal vin rosé, Courses were interspersed by much changing of largely empty plates. Breakfast was fussy, again many plates, but in substance quite ordinary.
Cons: Dinner was overcharged. The quality and quantity of tasting menu is still a step to Michelin but the price is almost at the standard of 2-star.
Pros: A beautiful, relaxing dream of a stay! Highly recommend as a get-away. The restaurant in particular was exceptional!
Pros: Wonderful place
Cons: Price In Restaurant was to high
Pros: Wonderful place. The manor is enovated reverentially. If you have a food allergy it’s recommended that notice is given beforehand.
Cons: The spa was nice but while we were there the weather was really hot and air conditioner would have been nice.
Pros: This hotel has a reputation for superb food. We were not disappointed but it was so much more than a superb dining experience. The room we had was amazing and the attention to detail throughout the hotel was truly exceptional. The air conditioning in the room a welcome Boone as the island (like much of Europe) was experiencing its hottest summer for many years. The bathroom was a tad smaller than your average ballroom but only just. The degustation menu was literally a mouth watering feast of Nordic coastal cuisine. The cellar has an amazing range of wines as the pairing menu demonstrated. Breakfast was also a delight with more delightful tastes of local fish, meats, cheeses, bread and small morsels such as thinly sliced rhubarb.
Cons: Only having one night there
Pros: Pädaste Manor is in many ways hospitality brought to perfection. The room is lovely decorated, beds are excellent, room is well equipped (incl. an Ipad for use during the whole stay). The staff is very friendly and highly professional. We had breakfast in the garden, which was served at the table. Excellent egg dishes, pan cakes close to perfection etc. We can highly recommend the spa (mud package, massage). Their restaurant is very good as well, we tried the chef’s degustation menu, which was made by ingredients sourced from the island. The location is stunning, the atmosphere of the old manor is captured beautifully. Our dog was welcome in the room and everywere outside. Clearly a place to relax and calm down and for sure worth a visit!
Cons: Actually nothing. The only small issue I had was with the mini bar prices in the room. You know it in a way with high end hotels, but still.
Pros: The place is perfect
Cons: definitely overpriced; very uncomfortable bathroom (shower in the bath tub); waited for a pancake 20 minutes at breakfast (had to leave before it arrived)
Algallika is a cosy guesthouse in an idyllic location in Western Estonia’s Matsalu National Park, situated directly on the seaside. This country house is surrounded by a spacious garden with a large fireplace and a big swing. All rooms were completely renovated in 2008. They are bright, quiet and feature all modern amenities. You can enjoy beautiful views of the garden or the fields from every window. Algallika also has a sauna and a small spa area. There is over 1 km of private shore available for swimming and sunbathing. The coastline is also ideal for hiking, jogging, horseback riding and rock climbing. Boat trips on Matsalu Bay are also available. The national park is a famous bird-watching area, being of Europe’s largest and most important stopping grounds for migratory birds. Guided bird-watching tours are offered. The Algallika guesthouse is also an ideal place for personal and organisational development trainings or seminars.
Pros: outside of prices and breakfast everything is great. a good place to relax and meditate
Cons: The breakfasts are monotonous, prices are not low
Pros: This place was a real discovery and will be one of the highlights of the trip to Saaremaa, due to its remoteness, amazing location at the seaside, offering a perfect spot for a picnic in a sunset. Owners were very friendly and lovely people. It is a perfect spot for someone looking a hide away place and tranquility. Great value for money - one would not get a breakfast for two in some other places for that money. Would definitely go back, but then for longer than one night. Thank you !
Cons: Nothing to add here. Just a little word of warning to others. We were a bit lost in finding our way at first, and did not take the best route to the place. So, we would recommend to check it before you head off.
Pros: Lovely location , nice place to spend one night.
Pros: Isolated location in the Matsalu National Park which is what we wanted. The bedroom was comfortable and bathroom clean. Breakfasts were generous although without variation over the 4 days.
Cons: A kettle and tea or coffee making facility in our room. We arrived out of season and had to arrange for the dining room to be left open to use the kettle etc. Note when booking there are no cooking areas for guests to use and eating places are at least 10km away.
Pros: The staff was very responsive and kind.
Cons: lack of information about things to do
Pros: The location is nice and quiet, although the road there is not one of the best.
Cons: 1. The guesthouse is 10 km off the main road. Also the nearest shop is 10 km away. Because you could not buy any foodstuff at the house, it would be good to inform travellers of this drawback. 2. Our room was located above sauna. It was otherwise cosy but soundproofing was bad. The noise from below was quite annoying. 3. Minor things: reading lamps were unpractical, there should be a mirror outside the bathroom and a floor towel in the bathroom.
Pros: Perfect ! We were even having our own shower while i reserved a shared one.
Pros: Having a glimpse of Estonian countryside, relaxation, peace and quiet, time to really enjoy time with my loved ones either on the beach, in the sea, in the sauna. A place we would visit again, a truly fantastic experience.
Pros: Hotel was excelent; We could see the sea from window. We had great breakfast. Room was clean and good designed.
Cons: We enjoyed to stay in the hotel.
Pros: Algallika offers a splendid experience of the West Estonian Countryside. We used it as a base to explore the Matsalu region. We enjoyed the remoteness of the location, the throughtful layout of the place - and great sunsets. The option to have dinner at the guesthouse is very convenient as there is a very limited selection of restaurants in the area.
Pros: Guesthouse is close to the see. We do not see the stuff, but everything was great and clean. Nature - apple trees, wood...
Pros: stilly, exclusive open air, very tastefully, feeling that guests are welcomed like best friends.Everything was on utmost grade.
Set on the Muhu Island, Tõnise Majatalo features a restaurant, bar and a garden. Guests can relax in the sauna and enjoy a massage. With free Wi-Fi access, the rustic-style rooms all come with wooden floor and a work desk. Each shares a bathroom. The restaurant serves local cuisine. Breakfast is offered daily. The shores of the Baltic Sea are 1.5 km from Tõnise Majatalo. Hiking is one of the activities that can be performed in the surroundings.
Pros: We loved our stay here, wish it could have been longer! The owner is a wonderful cook, we recieved superior service, enjoying a truly memorable dinner. The wood fired sauna was our first and a terrific experience. Our room was comfortable, we slept great! The grounds, garden and sheep (with new lambs) made it a complete package. We enjoyed relaxing in the yard. Highly recommended! A beautiful and quiet retreat.
Pros: Location, hostess, style, quietness, venue, premises!
Cons: Room was a bit too small.
Pros: Hosts were super kind and generous, made me felt like in home and felt welcomed. Local food and wine they provided was tasty. Stay in here was quiet leisure. Bed was comfortable and clean. If I visit Muhu again, I will definitely choose this hotel again.
Cons: No toilett!! connected to the room. Had to to change.
Pros: The hospitality
Pros: Very idyllic setting, authentic restoration of an old farmhouse and courtyard. Great innkeeper, very informative and attentive.
Pros: Oasis of quiteness / relaxation created over the years with much taste and energy from a historic building. Personal contact to owners / hosts.
Cons: Our GPS / navigation led us driving litterally through the woods, which stressed us to some extend. ... and yes, there is a much better road; actually nothing to hold the property responsible for.
Pros: Wonderful private location. It's good to use GPS to find it. Friendly attentive hosts. It's easy to start conversations with the other guests around the breakfast or dinner table. Don't be afraid to walk across the courtyard to get to the bathrooms. Delicious food. Very clean.
Cons: For some it might be uncomfortable to share bathrooms/showers. It all functions very well though. No complaints from us.
Pros: We enjoyed our stay, the beauty of local nature was so rich, no words can explain.
Cons: I will not change anything. Thank you
Pros: The location was fine.
Cons: This was not the apartment we booked. The pictures are not from the apartment we were given. We lived in a drab flat without a living room and slanted, creaky floors. Not what we bought based on the pictures. At all.
Situated in Orissaare, Hostel Pritsukas features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge and a terrace. The accommodation offers a shuttle service, while a bicycle rental service is also available. At the hostel the rooms have a wardrobe and a shared bathroom.
Pros: Second stay in this hotel, that's means that it's pleasant to come back!!! Always nice staff, ready to help My advice, just order your breakfast when you book rooms
Pros: Nice place if you can, like for us, be alone in the hotel with room's choices. Good heater in rooms, warm shower, common area with microwave, fridge a free coffee and tea. Nice welcome and chice for breakfast, ask what you want: eggs, ham, cheese, bread, vegetables, fruits, croissants... Highly recommanded, I will come back during my next stop in Muhu !!!
Cons: Nothing, just anticipate your diner, there are few restaurants... but market are open till 21:00
Pros: Staff was very helpful. Location is very good - walking distance to Muhu muuseum, port, beach. Breakfast was good.
Cons: There could have been sth to dry the floor with in the bathroom.
Pros: Cute bedrooms. Lovely place. At walking distance to Koguva the touristic fisherman village. Very calm and in the middle of nature.
Cons: No blinds in the windows and consequently very early wake up.
Pros: The courtyard of restored farmhouse dwellings was so quaint. Room was excellent, atmosphere was great - staff very courteous, breakfast was wonderful served in nice eating area.
Cons: It rained one day :)
Pros: Excellent location to walk around Koguva and port. Premises have old charm. The girl in reception was very welcoming
Cons: Breakfast was really disappointing - only couple of choices of supermarket cheapest cheese, ham and bread slices, although it is summertime and there are a lot of good produce found in the island itself. They offered only hardboiled eggs although they have big kitchen - can't be so hard to fry eggs or make an omelette.
Pros: The check in was quick, bicycles were available for hire at any time of the day, the receptionist was very friendly and informative, the room was clean and spacious and the buffet breakfast had a good choice. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful.
Set in Orissaare, Haikaranpesä Farm Stay offers garden, free WiFi, a shared kitchen, and a shared lounge. The property features garden views. The farm stay offers a terrace. A bicycle rental service is available at Haikaranpesä Farm Stay, while cycling can be enjoyed nearby.
Cons: Double bed are in fact two single beds attached but no common sheets so it's a bit weird. Too much light, clearly disturbing during white night period.
Pros: Very quiet place in the middle of nature. We had a very nice house, lots of space, BBQ in the garden, 3 rooms with 6 beds, a kitchen, very spacious and cosy. Hannele is a friendly host. Good breakfast. The island is a wonderful place to relax.
Cons: There were 6 beds, but all beds were single. We would have liked a double bed.
Pros: bedroom comfortable Lounge/t/v area comfortable
Cons: Not clean. Toilet and shower Needs good clean. Dead flies in bedroom. Owner using very noisy ironing machine downstairs that impacted on our able to listen to tv upstairs.
Offering an a la carte restaurant, Luscher & Matiesen Muhu Winehouse is located in Liiva and is Estonia's 1st wine tourism farm, 7 minute walk away from a rocky beach. Free WiFi access is available. The stylishly done rooms here will provide you with a TV with cable channels. Private bathrooms come with a shower and free toiletries. Rooms on the 1st floor offer views to garden or the sea. Extras include an outdoor dining area and linen. At Luscher & Matiesen Muhu Winehouse you will find free bikes. Other facilities offered include meeting facilities, a shared lounge and luggage storage. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including horse riding, cycling and hiking. The property offers free parking.
Pros: Quiet location off the main roads where you're safely away from the hustle and bustle as well as the windy sea. Perfect location when the weather is good and peaceful, relaxing when it's not. Staff is exception helpful and caring. Definite recommendation.
Cons: I had a room at the top floor with a bed under the energy pyramid. The bed could've used a cover mattress as the 2 joining mattresses were a bit worn and the gap between them wasn't very comfortable. Some people may be distraught with no TV in the room, but I actually found it quite relaxing.
Pros: Nice breakfast.
Cons: No transport, only car.
Pros: Nice and fresh.
Cons: No transport, only car.
Pros: We had beautiful room in attick, which was spotless clean. Big bathroom with rainshower and bed with good energy pyramid. Extremly friendly and helpful staff. Dinner in outside next to vine yard was great experience. We travelled with the dogs and they were treated very nicely.
Cons: Perhaps some more hooks and/or a self in bathroom would be nice. Fresh bread or rolls at breakfast instead of toast would be spot on.
Pros: Sauna was lovely and there was plenty of space to play with my dog.
Pros: Located in a beautiful countryside. Could be developed into a great winehouse (accommodation) story.
Cons: Based on the photos and the "winehouse" story, our expectations were much higher than the reality. Overrated in terms of price vs value. The winehouse is currently a big joke - only one locally produced wine available. The staff was internally fighting with the chef - did not give you a welcoming feel either. As Muhumaa does not have sufficiently decent accommodations, better to stay in Kuressaare.
Pros: The location and atmosphere are great and romantic. Little more effort and it would be perfect.
Cons: Doors dont insulate sound at all Triangle structure in the room was not practical, it was uncomfortable to walk around it Room components are somewhat the cheapest - laminate floor, bathroom door, sink. Matress was uncomfortable, could feel springs Poor choice in restaraunt (chef had a day off).
Pros: Staff tried to be helpful, but there was a lot of conflicting advice on how to get there without a car. we were told the only way was to get a bus from the ferry to Kuressaare, then another bus to Liiva. In fact, there was no bus to Kuressaare from the ferry port, so it was all quite stressful.
Cons: Very dark, gloomy room - needs a complete makeover. There are bicycles to take, but very rusted so impossible to adjust and not very safe feeling.
Pros: If you're looking for a peace and quiet, then Muhu Veinitalu is perfect for you! The staff is very welcoming and warm, food and wine choices are truly delicious. Special thanks to Siret, such a heart-warming person!
Pros: People I came in contact were very helpful and pleasant. Food was tasty, though I didn’t get to try big variety of it. Nice surroundings, interesting homey approach to hosting - may not be everybody’s cup of tea sitting and having your dinner while people walk in and out of the reception area/living room/parlor/hall/etc all rolled in one. Some people are complaining in their reviews that curtains let in too much light and sleeping was hard - very true, I just threw couple of fleece blankets on the curtains. Blankets are in abundance everywhere around the place.
Cons: Really unattractive room decor (downstairs rooms), so very far from romantic getaway surroundings, if that’s what you are looking for. Old/mismatched/cheap/dark/too worn items in the room. I was missing a table in the room. I liked the house and surroundings but the impression was somewhat ruined by a lot of random stuff lying around the yard and in the garden. Old garden hoses, random bits of wood, spare chairs etc. Just junk that was dumped somewhere. Menu very rigid.

Featuring a shower, shared bathroom also comes with towels. At Student Hostel you will find a shared kitchen and a shared lounge. Other facilities offered at the property include a children's playground. The property offers free parking. It is 500 metres to the nearest beach.
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean place and room was really big. Pets were welcome. I was here with my dog. Shower was close to my room. Kitchen was big.
Pros: Room was good size and very clean. Location was also very good, staff friendly. Nice rocky beach close by!
Cons: Room 1 door sound isolation was a bit old (we heard every person who came from main exit)
Pros: Cousie well heated room with everything what needed.
Cons: No breakfast but this was known.
Pros: We liked absolutely everything about the place. Peaceful and calm.
Pros: No special brilliance, but there was everything that was needed. Quiet, lonely place. Good access, hosts do not interfere. Separate shower and WC. There is WiFi.
Cons: In WC broken door lock. Access to the sea is rather uncomfortable and there is no beach at all. Acceptable beach should be found far away. Very agricultural environment, large number of pens and other facilities.
Tihuse Horsefarm B&B offers different horse-riding activities. Located on the island of Muhu, the property is 40 km from the Matsalu National Park. Featuring views of the garden and a private bathroom, rooms have wooden floors. They come with free towels and linen. Guests at B&B Tihuse Horsefarm can enjoy a free breakfast. Other meals can be provided if ordered in advance. It is possible to enjoy a sauna or a massage at an extra fee. Tallinn is 150 km away.
Pros: Rural. Quiet Warm . Friendly, a bit like staying at camp for a few days. Breakfast and dinner tasty but restricted.
Cons: The small bathroom had no mirror. The soap dispenser was dangerous being at eye level if you bent down to the very small basin. Hard to contain the water in the shower. The towel hook was also a danger. A small overhaul of the bathroom would vastly improve the safety and comfort.
Pros: Horses, environment, Martin.
Cons: The smell of the bathroom, molemmat underground The showercabin?
Pros: Unique experience with horses and nature.
Cons: The facilities are old and raw.
Set in Voose, Voosemetsa Turismitalu features a garden, shared lounge, BBQ facilities, and free WiFi. The guest house has ski storage space. At the guest house, all rooms are equipped with a desk. At Voosemetsa Turismitalu rooms are equipped with a seating area. The area is popular for hiking and skiing, and bike hire is available at the accommodation.
Pros: Friendly family. Not much English but I got along with the host in Russian. I was in and out during odd hours but the host still offered (and made breakfast). Pretty simple home living in the country side. Bring lots of mosquito spray. Since I actually stayed in their house, the lady host asked me which of the 3 rooms I wanted. Very nice family.
Cons: The bed is too small. Please cover the window with darker curtains, lol.
Pros: We found it finally.
Cons: Greeted briefly by caretaker probably? Only ones there and therefore a little unnerving, seemed the place was shutdown for end of season, as everything was overgrown and unkempt outside, and indoors looked unused for awhile
