Pros: Hostel was very clean and quiet, close to the village and not far from main road. Coffee was excellent and plenty of space for everything.
Cons: Arrived before check in time and struggled to find room - room 02 is not the same as 2. Realised eventually that it was downstairs.

Pros: All OK.
Cons: Nothing, all was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were thrilled with the clean and picturesque location. I saw my very first Ptarmigan there - in their summer to winter molt. We also met some sheep herders there, preparing for the great sheep gathering festivities the next day... wonderful time had by all!
Cons: All was so great - nothing to disparage! Great bbq, hot tub, kitchen and beautiful views out the window :)
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice and large common spaces.
Cons: Nothing to do around.

Pros: Enjyed the hot pool after a long day of driving. The hostel has a wonderful view from the social room, the kitchen is huge, has everything you need, free coffee.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean room, comfy bed. Good facilities. Would stay there again. (Family of five, stayed for one night)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice to have a big window that could be opened, good blinds to darken the room in the summer. The bathrooms are very nice and clean. The hostel was good sized and not to crowded and we had a nice chat with the owner.
Cons: I really have to search for something, but there is no supermarket nearby. But that's something that's pretty normal in the Westfjords.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very good. Easy to find. Has coffee machine.

Pros: The oldest summer hotel in Iceland, and the place of a very famous Icelandic TV series. We stayed in the cottages which are very nice. And the people there are just great!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location very beautiful.
Cons: The room was not ready when we arrived at 1800 but we had an email confirmation that the hut would be ready at 1600 hrs. The hut was very ill equipped, one knife, one big plate, no cups. Hut was very small but the shower was OK. The restaurant on location only has pizzas and hamburgers!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place
Cons: No breakfast in Sunday, no bath in bathroom
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and cosy cabin, nice and quiet, lovely view and conveniently on spur route through the Westfjords
7.0 Good
Pros: We stayed just one night on our way to the west fjords. The location is quite convenient to break up the trip from Reykjavik. We arrived last evening, and had to ring the bell to get service. The woman who greeted us was pleasant and we were given the key to our cabin and it was explained to us that they didn’t open until 11 am, and if we were leaving earlier we just had to leave our key in the drop box. The cabin itself was cozy and warm, but poorly light. The beds were pretty hard, but overall everything was clean. It was very quiet. The bathroom had the worlds smallest sink in it. There was no hair dryer, and no complimentary shampoo. There was a bottle of some type soap, but I had my own, so didn’t check it out. There was a great fridge and a hot water pot, so you could make your own coffee or tea if you wanted (and brought with you). It was a little weird, but really convenient, and I really have no complaints.
Cons: There was supposed to be a restaurant/bar, but it appeared to just be a selection of table and a desk (?) in a room, with a bunch of men sitting and drinking. Didn’t look very inviting. No breakfast available. And no coffee.. the next available coffee is about 50 miles west, so bring your own if you need it!
5.8 Okay
Cons: Restaurant and Breakfast (on extra price) was advertised on, but when we arrived not even the reception was open. Apparently the restaurant is just open during main season in summer. We didn't get any information or advice on the nearest restaurant. We found a really tiny town 30 min (by car) away and luckily the tiny diner at the gas station was still open and we still had some biscuits for breakfast the next day. So we managed alright but not due to the hotel or their staff.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice place to explore the westfjords and still be conveniently located close to the main part of the island. Its good that this hotel offers breakfast and dinner. Its makes traveling here very convenient.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We choose this spot as a last minute option when we changed our travel plans the day before arriving in the area...on route from Hvammstangi. This is apparently the oldest hotel in Iceland, but not obviously so. We had a room with a full washroom, so that was nice. The young Polish couple that were working there were great and helped us out by providing some bowls for our cereal for breakfast! We arrived one day before they were closing for the season so the diningroom wasn't open, but the menu was available to us and the food was good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff,clean facilities,beautiful surroundings
8.3 Excellent
Pros: They did not find my reservation. I show them it and the because of not avalaibility of that room, thay upgraded us for the same price to the wooden cabin that is really nice. Dinner there was passable.
