The breakfast at Casa Flaminia San Pietro is a DIY breakfast. The host provides you with breakfast ingredients, and you make it all yourself. Mostly sweet breakfast, so if you are not used to it, you might struggle. The host also provided freshly baked cakes/pastries.

Once you get your bearings you will find that you are on the doorstep of The Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. The property is a very large 1st floor flat converted into two lovely apartments. The location is superb, only a 10 minute walk from the Vatican and near some great local restaurants.

The kitchen had good amenities - a toaster, juicer, an omelette maker, egg boiler, coffee machine, pans and dishes. However, there is no dishwasher.

The points I did not like are mainly related to the comfort of the beds. The extra bed/sofa was utterly unsuitable for sleeping. Also in the mattress of the main bed, you sometimes feel some springs but we could say that it was acceptable.

The hosts were excellent and willing to meet the needs and wishes of the guests. The location is superb, literally 5 mins away from Saint Peter square. The owners were very friendly, polite and they helped us with a lot of information about Rome.

Several guests recommended choosing a room with a balcony facing the fountain for a spectacular view.
