Price and Location - we visited our daughter who studies in Dijon. They had a very friendly staff and it was comfortably near to the inner city.
Great location, good value for money Item lost from bathroom due to 'accident'
The staff were very friendly The bed was not very clean
Good Location. Near train station and places to eat and shop, as well as close walking to local tourist destinations. Lack of parking.
Great location close to railway station, but not so easy to get to by car (one way streets). A short walk from tourist sites. Free wi fi. Car parking available (xtra E10), but a nightmare for various reasons! The room with the A/C had a fridge but it did not work. Very noisy from the street on Saturday night. One smokey room out of the two, despite asking for nonsmoking.
Excellent location close to the railroad station. Good for the price. Room and shower very small.
Friendly staff, good location. Other noisy tenents
The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of the train station, tourist offices, restaurants, movie theater and everything we wanted to see in downtown Dijon. For a very low price, we stayed in a huge family room that had two double beds plus a single bed and bathroom, with plenty of extra space for spreading out. That is rare to find in European hotels! We enjoyed the breakfast, which had a good variety of breads, jellies, cheese and meat, yogurt, fruit, apple sauce, cereal and hot and cold beverages. The staff was friendly and helpful and able to speak English with us.
I found the room to be cosy and comfortable with good beds. Neat and tidy and tastefully decorated. Bathroom and shower also good. Staff were helpful in every way. Great value for money. Location excellent. No fridge or tea/coffee making facility. Couldn't find an English speaking TV channel. Saturday night so a little noisy (no fault of Hotel).
Not much, close to the train station, but not close to the tourist part of town I felt terribly un-safe in this hotel, the bathroom was disgusting with mold everywhere, the doors where difficult to open and close, all noise in the hallway and stairwell could be heard in the room, no air conditioning, no pillows, mish mosh of hangers, i.e. felt like Salvation Army, not close to tourist area of town
Luxurious room, friendly and helpful reception staff, good location Bar staff mostly absent and were not attentive
A great, clean, comfortable and central hotel and with free garage parking! Restaurant is well worth a try, also. Will stay again for sure!
This is a lovely hotel in a lovely city. The hotel is in a great position for shopping and for seeing the sights of Dijon. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent location, friendly staff, the room is great (roomy, clean, nice lcd tv), esp. the beds, which are extremely comfortable (what they call "mybed"). Even though the price is not too cheap, we still find it's great value for the money.
Nice location, close to city centre.
Very convenient location to the old city, close to good restaurants, very friendly and knowledgeable staff .
The staff were very accomodating and the location was great The lifts!!
the restaurant poor satellite TV
Know what to expect, expect Sofitels to be excellent! Usually have great resturants - Dijon's had an excellent one. The staff were very helpful..
as a new hotel, the finish was really good. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful - thankfully making allowances for my poor French. My wife particularly liked the shower room!
Helpful Staff, Close to city sights/shopping of interest and good for the budget. Thank you.
clean comfortable slightly out of centre
Fantastic service and excellent value for money
Hotel is very clean. Bathroom is nice and all facilities are quite new. I can get a comfortable hot shower in this hotel, which is not always the case in other hotels. Generally a very clean and functional hotel for a very good price. Parking is also directly under the hotel, and is quite secure. The hotel is only a short 15 minute walk to the centre of Dijon. Which is good, you just leave your car in the hotel and walk to the city. Buffet breakfast is good, a good variety to choose from. Hotel and neighbourhood feels very safe. Nothing major to dislike about the hotel. Only thing, there is no safe. Breakfast is not included in the hotel price, which was not made clear before booking.
It was only a passing threw visit, but the staff was friendly, provided us with everything we needed, the hotel is clean and the breakfast very varried.
good position (you could walk to the city center, but free Dijon shuttle bus is near), helpful staff OK but relatively small room (but this is something you should expect in this kind of hotel)
the bar was good no tea/coffee making facilities in room, no hairdryer and lots of noise could be heard from the corridors
Location was great and after 10 minutes walking you're downtown. The room was clean and big enough for 2. Price was fair.
Able to book into hotel at 11am instead of noon as arrived early. No.
This is a good hotel very close to the main train station - less than a 1 block walk. Also convenient to stroll to the historic downtown. The tram that circles the city stops right in front. Marvelously helpful clerk at the front desk. The breakfast is the bare minimum that one might expect.
Big room, friendly receptionist. Leaky shower, shabby breakfast room, broken coffee/tea machine at breakfast.
The town was alive with a music festival, when usually Sunday nights are very quiet. Also friendly and helpful staff. Turning the power switch on, that just looks like another light switch was not obvious.
The location - this hotel was two minutes walk from the bus/railway station (which was convenient) and five minutes walk into the town centre. Shops and restaurants nearby. I requested on the booking form "A room with a view (if possible)" but was given a room with partially opening frosted windows. The room was gloomy and smelt of cigarette smoke. The 'view' was of the fire escape of the adjacent unoccupied building. I asked at the reception to change rooms, which they did. The second room was bright and airy, with double opening windows, small balcony and a good view. The breakfast was expensive for a cold buffet. €8.50
Very close to the city center. The hotel has no parking but the have and agreement and you can park 24h for 6.5 EUR.
Very clean. Decent pool. Strong WiFi in lobby. Reception switched us to a room that received the WiFi signal. Across the street from the gare train station. Walkable to sights in Dijon. Most rooms don't receive WiFi signal. Rooms are very small. We stayed July 2010 and there was loud road construction just outside.
Comfortable room, good facilities The only drawback: the parking of hte hotel is in a different place.
We apreciated the kindness of the staff and the cleanliness of our room. The only thing that we dind´t like is that the hotel is not so close to city center as we´ve imagined. It´s about a 10 min. walk.
Large room; comfortable; staff very helpful Street noise
Location to the Train Station. The furniture in the room had been updated but shame the walls were not painted, they looked cracked and dirty , plus mould on the shower door. Also the walls are so thin I could hear the person in the next room thinking!
Close to rail station and city centre. Hotel was excelent for the price. Nothing specific.
very friendly staff & just a stone throw away from the city centre the room was clean but old, a renovation would be nice. the parking is quite narrow.
The breakfast was very good and the desk staff was excellent
Bar closed too early - we arived at 10:45pm and it was already closed
Very convenient very clean
The room was very clean and quiet and we enjoyed a very nice continental breakfast served in the room - with no additional charge - Difficulty to open and/or close the windows and shutters
Good location, very close to the train station and to the city centre. Quiet room. Internet works well. We were two people but several days staff only left one bath towel!
Courteous and helpful staff The shower had very poor water pressure and the surface of the bath was extremely slippery and dangerous
nothing accept for sleeping - breakfast was ok they were not rude but unhelpful and it was a bit old shabby it didn't feel as though it had been thoughly cleaned for a while but it was tidy and neat
Needs upgrading to withstand their status.
Location is good. The room was very nice, but a litle oldfashioned. You have to ask for the parking lot key every time you need to park your car. And the entrance for the parking is in an other street, behind the hotel.
Staff were very helpful, rooms were clean & comfortable, food was excellent. Children liked the pool
Staff really friendly and accomadating. We were delayed by 4 hours getting to to the hotel and upon our arrival they couldn't do enough for us. Lovely clean room. Food in the restaurant was execellent too. Really convienient location. No tea and coffee facilities in room.
The staff in the Reception and the Restaurant were very attentive, friendly and good fun
We had to wait half an hour before the waitress could give us a menu. Service was incredibly poor and slow and the food, which was overpriced for its quality, was cold. Wine was also overpriced for the quality.
The restaurant's service and fare was excellent and value for money. All staff were polite and friendly. No
Very clean and friendly hotel Could do with Tea and Coffee making facilities, ie a Kettle, in the rooms. Also a nice dinner restaurant would be good.
Spacious room. Quiet location. Very nice grounds
Nice atmosphere, big rooms and big bathroom, parking. no restaurant
Nothing was tooo much trouble for the staff
great place! big rooms with character. try to book ground floor - private garden is included.! free parking, 5 minutes car ride from dijon there is no restaurant
Location - 10 minutes of Dijon racetrack + close to center of Dijon, in very calm and nice suburb. Room are neat and clean. WIFI is free. In short, next race event I'll be back.
The hotel was warm and friendly, very attractive and in a unique location on a hill near a historic church. English not spoken by manager, but a staff member was able to communicate. Language was not a problem as we got by OK
Everything was perfect. An excellent hotel in beautiful and quiet surroundings
free car parking smell
nothing No facilities for making drinks, disinterested staff
Clean room, comfortable bed, good shower. Breakfast adequate but i.e. no boiled or fried eggs. Perfect for a night's stay on your journey. Not as close to the highway as they make it seem. Pay good attention to the roadsigns and roadnumbers.
Clean, modern, quiet Nothing
easy to find and pleasant staff room very cramped with extra bed.
Staff very pleasent and very helpful. room was warm, welcoming as was the large and very comfortable double bed. No
Free WiFi. Easy to get to from the motorway if you are driving. Five minutes drive to Dijon town centre. Very helpful staff. The maid came in a bit too early and woke us up on the first morning! The bathroom is basic and small but does its job
Nice hotel, great location
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. It was also very nice to have opportunity to prepare a hot tea at room. I tried to watch TV in the evening but it shew some text in French only.
It was clean and convenient for the main motorway as well as being close to the town by taxi We went for breakfast in the morning which started at 7 am but at 7.45 they had no more eggs and when we asked if they could do more they simply said no! As we do not eat meat we didn't have much of a choice
Convenient location near to motorway. Ability to check in up till 23.00. Good level of service. Plentiful breakfast buffet.
The food in the restaurant was of an excellent standard. The hotel looked like a prison
We needed a budget overnight stay. The staff were excellent and the rooms clean and comfortable. We were late checking in because of road works but this did not create any problem. They went out of their way to accommodate our family. I thought it was slightly overpriced for what we got, but when travelling with 4 adults & 3 children in France you have to take what you can get!
We enjoyed the proximity to the town:; a pleasant route from the hotel took us into the historical centre within 10 interesting minutes. The garage where we could leave our car, not only overnight but also for the following morning whilst we visited the town and market, we found very useful. The staff were relaxed and pleasant at all times.
Good location close to city centre. Street-side parking in front of hotel is for free. Hotel also offers paid parking in garage (actually old barn) close to the hotel. Good value for money. Friendly English speaking receptionist.
the situation of the Hotel to visit easily the beautiful historical town of Dijon. It is so convenient!
The girl at the front desk was very helpful. Room was nice and clean. Easy to get to from the train station on the bus, and close walking distance to center.
Very friendly staff, very close to the main market and very cozy
Character hotel - quite nice rooms, quite spacious Air conditioning did not work despite asking staff to look into it. Decor a bit hectic and dated. pool unheated so too cold to use.
Very friendly service, quiet comfortable and clean Particularly choose this hotel as it is listed with a restaurant within the hotel - I was travelling with 2 elderly ladies - on arrival was told the restaurant was closed untill end of august - which I found very strange as it was high season??!!
the swimming pool and the out door dining
The hotel staff were very helpfull. The food in the beautifull dining room was lovely. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The extractor in the toilet had not been cleaned, and was covered in very old dust. I could not get the Wi-Fi to work in our room.
Good location with free parking. Nice looking hotel exterior. Friendly staff. Good restaurant next door. Room had tea/coffee making facilities. The only thing was the decor in the room was rather dark and gloomy, but the bed was very comfortable.
I was not expecting anything fancy. However, this hotel has great staff, wonderful beds and bedding, very modern bathrooms, tea/coffee trays, desk, excellent lighting, outdoor swimming pool, rooms. The main restaurant served delicious food in a beautiful room. Breakfast featured local lavender jelly and honey cake along with a wide selection of other food. The location was very convenient for the highway yet was extremely quiet (we slept with our window open, and insect screen down).
Excellent restaurant. Very convenient location for Dijon and for exploring Burgundy and the wine routes. Ease of parking. Vastly overpriced. Breakfast expensive. The rooms at the rear are plagued by mozzies. Keep the window closed and take fly spray and ointment!
Easy to organise flexible holiday at good quality hotels
A comfortable, well appointed room with super bathroom and separate toilet. The restaurant was excellent, staff welcoming and food varied and delicious.
The food was excellent - the breakfast was in a cosy room and small but good. Bed was not that comfortable. Thought there was wifi but there didn't appear to be.
Hotel was spotless and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant was not cheap but prix fixe was very good value for money. Well situated for old Dijon and very pleasant courtyard garden. Very quiet. Only previous point about needing better map or directions from station.
We found the hotel ideal for exploring Dijon, the location being on the free bus route is a bonus. breakfast was adequate but could be improved by using a local boulangerie.
The hotel was very nice and very comfortable with very helpful staff. The breakfast was very good.
Good central location, but in one way system. Attractive central courtyard. Room much smaller than expected, overlooking busy street; took upgraded room overlooking courtyard. Dinner: food over complicated and not wonderful.
The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. We arrived around 21:00 and was looking forward to eating in the restaurant but it had closed minutes before.
Excellent room, good location and parking.
Free easy parking; cheerful breakfast staff. Small room (called Superior); outdated bathroom; stained lavatory
Location and parking The room was far from what I anticipated a 'superior' room to be. It was cramped and dated with a small double bed. Glad I was staying for only one night.
Located very close to the old centre of Dijon where sightseeing opportunities are best. Restaurants were in abundance.
Our room was clean, very quiet and spacious.
Too far away from the Centre ville
Very good for a one night stay No
Helpfull staff,good location
no restaurant, particularly as there are none available nearby
It was a shame that the bar didn't have a license to serve beer. After a long day of travel a couple of drinks with our friends would have been the perfect closure of our first day of holiday.
Clean and new a/c worked in one room a/C did not work in the other room
Easy to find, godd room and food at a reasonable price
It was easy to get to the highway from there. The personnel was friendly. Plenty of parking space right next to the hotel. The room was a bit noisy (sounds of cars).
The staff were particularly freindly and helpful. Pleasant little restaurant. Although it was 32 deg outside, there was a good airconditioning system in the hotel which kept it very cool and comfortable. We stayed there on our way to Montreux and again on the way back. I was pleasantly surprised that the receptionist recognised me the second time and addressed me by my name. Will definitely make this a frequent stop. The road signage leaves a bit to be desired. The hotel is a lot easier to find than the signage would have you believe!
We booked the hotel for one night on our way to Spain, we were very pleased with the dinner options and actually the food was ok.
Good room and accomodating staff Slight difficulty in finding it
proximity to motorway for overnight stop not easy to find without satnav
dinner and breakfast were very good too old, small room, no fridge
good location, friendly staff, free parking not really clean
The staff was very helpfull, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Ideal for check in at any time. Great for long journey from UK to South of France as not in central city yet convenient to motorway and nice clean quiet room with en-suite. Air con was noisy. Cost of meal / drinks were high so we ate next door in the shopping arcade. Holiday Inn should provide food in line with their 3 stars. Breakfast was ideal - self service with a range of options - at a 3 star level
Quiet location, as long as you keep the windows shut in the early morning Very run down rooms, well worn, but hotel is undergoing a complete restoration at present
it was close to Zenith the shower curtain was dirty and smelled, for €14 the breakfast was pretty poor. A basic chain hotel at 4* prices
Ease of parking, easy to find the Hotel without going into the town, next to shopping Centre.
Te easy way to reach it, the quality of the hotel.
No hassle Outside parking not as secure as I would have liked.
Room was very comfortable, perfect for a stay while traveling south Breakfast was very poor quality
Best hotel ever. Clean - great pool - spa. Helpful staff. I'd stay here again. Loved it. Loved everything.
Good value for money; large comfortable family room for four, helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Part of an out-of-town shopping complex with a very large supermarket, so useful for stocking up. No problems!
The room was spacious and pleasant The location of the hotel was disappointing in that it was in a commercial complex most of which appeared to be closed down.
Friendly staff, clean rooms , nice restaurant , good value for money
its always very comfortable and quiet. Good safe parking with so many good restaurants and cafes nearby we would not pay the Holiday inn prices
Welcoming, rural views, great value restaurant with excellent choice of food
It was close to the motorway and large shopping area so made a convienent stop off en route to the Alps. The main car park gate was locked between 11pm and 6am so was good for security. The restaurant was very bright so not very cosy.
Quality of service - friendly, helpful. Good, reasonably-priced food. The room is small...!
good stop over hotel
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, convenient location from the motorway, very enjoyable meal in the restaurant, would definitely use this hotel again Small plastic cups to make coffee/tea in room
Restaurant was excellent
room was smoky, noisy (a lot of highway near) and no air-conditioner
Gerard was an absolute star in night reception. Caroline on reception was extremely helpful and friendly and the lady in the morning, whose name i did not catch was very polite and helpful too. We retuned to this hotel two weeks later after our holidaysl purely on the basis of Gerards customer service skills. Continental breakfast was great, good quality and plentiful, The hotel is located 15 minutes from the main route south and as a hotel manager of a national four/five star brand in the UK, i can thoroughly recommend this hotel as being peaceful, quiet, clean and with great levels of service. The food in the Chinese restaurant is poor and very bland, although i have seen the concept work well elsewhere Food in the Chinese restaurant was bland and poor, satay sauce was tastless and watery, no taste of peanuts!!
Everythinga dn Caroline the receptionist was very helpful and polite
the room for 4 people was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel was ideal for an overnight stopover. the bathroom needs a proper shower with shower curtain and the breakfast was expensive considering what was on offer. Although the hotel is ideal for 1 night, it is too basic for a longer stay.
perfect location when you're travelling from italy to belgium. very clean and modern rooms.
Had a 4 person (three bed) room. Very spacious and very clean. about 10 - 15minutes form town centre and very close to auto route. Granny has a single room. Again basic but clean. air conditioning made the room feel a little damp - but not a big problem for one night.
