Cons:Made an online reservation after midnight and needed room that night. When i saw check in time for 4pm attempted immediately to change or cancel reservation. Hotel refused and I was charged for a room I could not use.

Pros:The staff was amazingly welcoming, the woman who checked us in went out of her way to show us to our room, and around the hotel. The pool was beautiful, as was the courtyard. We stayed in the garden suite for our 2 night stay. We even had two chairs outside our room so we could enjoy the beautiful evening weather. Overall we liked that the hotel was so close to everything but it still seemed quiet and set back from the chaos on the main stretch through St. Pete beach.
Cons:Our main problem with the room was the bathroom. I've dealt small bathrooms before, but this one was just poorly designed. The toilet was offset at an angle so that it was facing the sink. When you are seated on it you have no choice but to rest your arm inside the sink, or try to wedge it underneath. Also the toilet paper rack was attached on the left side behind the sink, which made it nearly impossible to reach being in such a position. The shower was ok, but the curtain was a bit long and kept getting caught up in the drain, also there was only one small soap dish in the shower and no other place to set down any toiletries. Our bed was comfortable but the marble window sill was a bit too close to our heads due to the height of the bed. I feel like if the owner would spend the time and money to fix the few problems with this hotel it would be a real gem.
