Good
Staff member came to meet us and guide us in back way. We ate burger it was excellent!
Roadworks meant we couldn't get to hotel
Superb
Location
Parking was very narrow to enter and exit.
Very good
The hotel was amazing, clean and the location was perfect. The staff was polite.
The bed that they gave us was too small for a couple and for the prize we pay. Also, the parking was a little bit expensive considering the price that we pay to stay in the hotel.
One night stay
Comfortable beds
Limited parking so had to park in a public car park and carry all the luggage to my room. Difficult entrance with steps should have a doorman ready to help you. Stayed in junior suites and again more steps no lift and no offer to take luggage to room. Staff were kind and helpful just didn’t have or offer this service, shame.
Exceptional
the staff is great, very friendly and service oriented - great value for money

Overnight stay in a very...
This was my first stay (and definitely not my last one) in this very charming building. I arrived by car very late at night (1am). I had given pre-notice of my late arrival and the check-in process was extremely efficient. I was in my room in less than 5 minutes after stepping into the hotel. Due to the COVID-19 health restrictions, I had to book the time slot for the breakfast. The following morning the process was very smooth; the distance between tables were really good and the breakfast was very generous when we consider the current sanitary constraints.
The extremely efficient check-in the night before set up my expectations for a very efficient check-out. There was a problem with the guest preceding me so I had an unusual long wait for what was supposed to be a very simple and quick check-out. Not a big deal; just a small improvement point on what was otherwise a very pleasant stay.
My favorite city in Spain...
The location was amazing, great friendly staff and very spacious room. We had a suite on the old building facing the Church and square. The ceilings are very high, small balcony and California king beds. great pillows and large marble bathroom. Incredible views. Was our first time in Salamanca, for sure coming back. We travelled with our furry baby and he was super welcome. Breakfast was super.
Because of the Covid, at last moment the chef canceled and we had to hurry a take away order. Not really happy with the choice of restaurants they gave us. We travelled with a car, the garage is a nightmare. If you have a small car maybe will be fine but we had a SUV and it was hell to park. They could improve on their amenities.
Superb
Small but safety garage. Room was perfect, quite big with wonderful small balcony with perfect view. Lobby is also very very nice !
great value for money
everything, really
fantastic property, great interior deco, super good service, very clean and fantastic location
Perfect 👌
Location to walk into old city and it’s a great building itself!
Can’t criticise anything really.. would say the car park is for competent drivers or small cars but the receptionist did tell me that too!
Not as Described - Disappointing
Location Breakfast Staff at breakfast
- the room was not very clean. My husband went around the room, wiping and disinfecting door knobs and touch points and the tissues he used all came back dirty (see photo) - the reception staff were unwilling to book us a table at our favourite restaurant and asked us to go online instead. - there was the bare minimum of facilities available in the room (a bed, two bath towels, two hand towels, one hand soap and a small container of shampoo and one of body wash). There were two small bottles of water in the minibar and one bottle of sparkling water ONLY. We used one bottle of water (thinking it was complimentary) and were charged for drinking this water, when we paid our bill. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel where they charged you for water. It is shocking. - the aircon did not work (so we had to open the window onto the busy street below) but it was too noisy to sleep. - the toilet flush was unreliable. - I had to ask for a pair of slippers to use (these were not provided in the room, as I would expect when paying that kind of price for a ‘premium room’) and was glad I could use the slippers as the floor was dirty. - the room description said it was ‘soundproofed’ but the soundproofing was so bad that we could hear people in the next room coughing, closing doors, talking and snoring. - I know these times are difficult but don’t punish people for CV-19 by stripping out all comforts from a hotel room but still charging premium prices.
My favourite stay in Salamanca
Is a georgeous hotel, terrific location and dog friendly! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Cleanliness is superb and the views very beautiful.
Not much I can say here. Something that felt a bit absurd is the rules for staying with your pet. Long list.
Exceptional
Room, Lounge, Parking, mini fridge, location
A great building and location....
The location and the Covid protection measures.
I booked a 'better' room. which was to include a coffee maker. I got a room with a view of a wall and no coffee maker. Both points were rectified following my complaint. I parked my motorcycle in the hotel garage. I was not advised of a charge nor that there was an area for motorcycles. On departure I was charged €18.90 for parking. Bikes normally have a 50% discount, which I was denied because I had parked in a slot for a car. THE GARAGE HAD ONE OTHER VEHICLE IN IT!!!!
Good
Location
No Kettle so could not make coffee in room. Had to pay for Water. Given that the Bar was closed this was bad. I understand that we have a Covid crisis, but I would think that at least a kettle for tea or coffee. The fridge only had water.
Very good
The hotel is just beside the amazing cathedral and use it. the car park is close as is everything. do not miss the Art Deco museum close by, it is lovely.
Good
Beautiful location and nice rooms
It should not be called a hotel if it does not have. A dinner restaurant... it should be called a bed and breakfast
Salamanca sept 20
Good location, beautiful building
Nothing open ! No bar or restaurant due to COVID, parking was expensive and tried to charge for water ☹️
Ideal location
The location was wonderful and the view from our terrace absolutely beautiful. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable and large. The room was spacious and lovely.
Hotel very well situated to...
Very nice building with extraordinary views to the DOMINICOS Monastery, called San Esteban
All facilities were good or outstanding

Excellent hotel. Great location in a beautiful city. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Great value for money
Beautiful place to stay in...
Very impressive facade and communal areas. Spacious room. Clean, stylish and comfortable. Wonderful staff. A great stay in the heart of Salamanca!
Bathroom a little dated
Very good
Small room, small bed and some noise from the street (room 24)

This is a first class hotel and they managed the difficulties created by Covid in exemplary fashion. An impressive staff.
The parking was difficult. It is under the hotel but very cramped. We were not the only guests who needed help to get out. The help was very willing and, I sensed, very experienced.
staff and location
due to the pandemic, breakfast was held in the -1 which had no natural light
Great location with parking facilities on site. Salamanca is such a beautiful city and this hotel is located in the old part, quiet yet minutes walk from fabulous bars and restaurants.
We loved everything, simply perfect and right next to the cathedral!
A bit old. Perfect location but decoration a bit sad. Breakfast disappointing.
Room was next to garage gate which was noisy

A beautiful hotel with lots of character. The foyer and staircase are particularly beautiful. Stunning historical views. Very central. Excellent breakfast. Very clean.
The bathroom was good but beginning to look a little tired.
Very attentive staff and fantastic breakfast
Nothing
good size room tea making facilities nice bathroom excellent staff good food
Lovely staff and lovely room
No proper bar
This hotel is in the heart of Salamanca - it's easy to miss its entrance. Look for hatching in a car park space, like a bus stop, in the area where your satnav shows the hotel. The signage is not very clear. The consierge will whisk your car away for you. Lovely building and we had a duplex junior suite which was very good. Good buffet breakfast.
If you're looking to eat here, off-season, don't bother. It's the room service menu and we were the only ones in the restaurant.
good location and very nice view from the window. Very comfortable and reasonably spacious room overall but see comments below about heating. We had booked a premium room. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Thr room was too hot for us and we couldn't seem to turn the heating down. We had to leave the window open all night which was just about ok but noisier.
Wonderful structure : it has been really a pleasure to stay in such an amazing and comfortable hotel. Easy check in and out. Kindness everywhere.
Improving Wifi would be a magic touch.
Everything was great. Particularly the nice gesture to put the car in the garage ready for departure! The location is perfect, close to Plaza Mayor, the cathedral and a beautiful monastery across the street. The storks also found that place great!
Location is as great!
Beautiful building right in the centre of the old town. Valet parking included.
The room was very comfortable and warm and we had a nice view from the bedroom window. The staff were very polite, helpful and obliging. We had dinner in the on-site restaurant and found the menu to our liking as there was adequate but limited choice and the service was good. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as we prefer to get on the road as early as possible and stop-off for breakfast en-route.
There was nothing worth mentioning that we didn't like but one small point was the coffee machine was meagre and inadequate.
Amazing location overlooking the cathedral in the heart of the historic area. Underground private parking, concierge parks your car for you. Pull in right outside the entrance. GPS took me straight there.
We really liked this hotel and would warmly recommend it. The rooms were excellent, the staff helpful, and the location excellent.
Everything was fantastic from check in to check out.
Fantastic central location in old city centre, very characterful building, room lovely and view excellent from our room. On site parking was full but other basement parking nearby was excellent value and safe/secure.
Bar had no atmosphere at night but then you have many wonderful tapas bars within minutes so no real need.
Beautiful former palace, well situated.
Staff a bit unresponsive
Close to cathedral and river bank. Well appointed room with a view. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast.
Staff attitude a bit indifferent.
View from room and breakfast excellent. Comfortable and quiet room despite facing busy road. Worth an upgrade to premium.
Lack of lively atmosphere in public spaces. Not easy to have a drink/snack in cafeteria - seemed unstaffed and deserted at lunchtime.
Location was perfect. Quiet but very close to cathedral and university. Only steps away from the central plaza. Will go again.
We couldn't stay longer.
Very comfortable bed and room. Upon check- in got help with luggage and an offer of help with luggage upon check-out. Our room had lovely view — specifically mentioned by front desk rep when we checked in. We had secure parking and the hotel was within easy walking distance of the major historical sights.
The staff was great and the hotel
The location is very good. Also the staff were helpful during the check in, helped with the bags.
The rooms are very small and only partially refurbished. Some of the furniture is very old, old doors. We could hear all the noise from the common area.

Very comfortable, clean and top breakfast!
The property shows that has parking places, however when we arrived the sais they were full.. in the end they arranged us parking spot but they didn't have many. Also at this point in time I feel that they should have a destination charger for electric vehicles.
The beautiful building and facilities were fabulous plus it was right in the centre of the town.
Nothing
As soon as we arrived the reception gave us a very warm welcome. After freshening up she advised us where to go, what to see and which restaurants were best to eat at. We loved every minute. Salamanca is just a stunning place to visit and has so much character
Fabulous! Beautifully styled bedrooms and modern, marble bathrooms - spectacular view. So comfortable, clean, convenient and lovely staff - thoroughly recommended.
Excellent location with views of the Cathedral . Wonderful atrium and staff on reception were incredibly helpful
Wardrobe looked a little beaten up
Great location.
The hotel was excellent and comfortable.
The beds were very uncomfortable. Very hard. They are definitely outdated and not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. This could easily be seen to.
Location and staff
Beds - Matresses too hard
Lovely location and hotel
Valet parking a definite bonus in Salamanca. Staff very pleasant.
Maybe a little tired. No real restaurant.

This is an excellent step up from other hotels in the area. We regularly used Eurostars Las Claras in Salamanca and wouldn't take anything away from that hotel. However, the Palacio de Castellanos is really very good indeed. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and, on arrival, our car was valet-parked. The hotel is easily missed as you arrive, because Google Maps doesn't know where it is. However, when you pass the underground car park (nothing to do with the hotel) and then turn left down the one way street, the hotel is on your right with yellow zigzag lines marking temporary parking. Great location too - very near the main street and all its restaurants (incidentally, do try Delicatessen - yes it's named after that film).
Nothing - all was excellent.
Excellent breakfast, fantastic location right next to the historic centre, lovely entrance hall, helpful staff
Location. Free non-alcoholic minibar replenished every day.
Mattress was too soft it killed my back. Wifi is extremely slow and poor signal. It does not have bidet as other 4 star hotels we stayed at.
All was perfect
The level of comfort was good - the pillows allowed for a good sleep.
Although the young lady who checked us in was very helful and friendly, the male clerk who checked us out was rude and unhelpful. During the check-out process he took a phone call and completely ignored us with no apology offered. He also did not offer our wives any help with their heavy luggage and remained behind the desk watching them struggle with the bags. He maintained an arrogant attitude at all times.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room sevice was excellent...i had the best hamburger ever, tailored to my taste. The location is fantastic. All in all i would definitely go back!
An indoor pool would be nice as would more international tv channels.
Beautiful building in fabulous location. Staff were super helpful and made us feel like valued guests. Great bedrooms and bathrooms
Nothing!
Great hotel, a room with a view on the cathedral, parking available, very nice breakfast, playa mayor, 5 minutes walk. Nice and friendly staff
We missed gym/fitness facilities, spa or swimming pool in this luxury hotel.
Great location close to all the major sights. Comfortable rooms.
Wanted to sleep with the window open but the street gets noisy soon after 7am.
A very beautiful hotel with a wonderful balcony overlooking the Convent. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed, the bed large and very comfortable. The rooms retained charm whilst being very luxurious. This hotel is a little expensive, but in an amazing location in a beautiful city.
Hotel is situated in the heart of the old city, good parking facilities ( underground parking, also a public parking only 2 minutes walking), a typical charm , part of Salamanca's history. Restaurants, shops, university campus few steps away.
The hotel is immaculate, the staff friendly and helpful. Parking was 18€ extra but well worth the cost as the car was secured in a parking area with access door to the hotel. Our room faced the church and the view especially at night was fabulous. For breakfast we walked to the restaurant right next door, good coffee and tostadas (toasted buns). The splendid Plaza Mayor (Main Plaza) with restaurants, cafes, stores and ambiance galore is a short walk. Lots to see and do during the day and at night all within walking distance.
The street noise was loud for a short period of time but everything settled down so not really a negative.
The employees, profesional with attention to details ,they speak multiple languages and aways happy to hep
Me gusto todo
The hotel is wonderfully situated.... very central indeed. Our room with a balcony was great and looked across to the Convent of San Esteban and Las Dueñas. The breakfast was excellent. Our car was parked for us and staff were charming. As a converted palace it is a very attractive place to stay.
great breakfast, excellent location, recently renovated and comfortable. Staff is attentive, best restaurants in town (Hoja21) just around the corner
ven though recently renovated the sports facilities are still (after 8 months) and the suggestions for running are:"go to the river and you will see others" The mini bar and extras take away two third of the desk space. Ventilation of the bathroom limited, such that the room after a shower was also damp.

Great place, great location!
Absolutely beautiful hotel. We had a room over looking an old church.
Absolutely nothing. We were really surprised how great small hotel it was.
Great interior, and amazing location, really central couldn't have asked for anything better. Also the place itself is super cute. very old building with beautiful decor, just look at the pix; it's really like that. Also really cute of the staff to put valentine sweeetys all over the place. Coffee is free and very good (nespresso machines). All in all GREAT!!
Only thing is breakfast is quite expensive (18€) but is very good and has many options.
Great beds, bathroom, great location.
The room was too hot and could not be adjusted. Was forced to open the window in the evening for sleeping. Unfortunately room was above car park and opening the window made it a little noisy in the mornings. Not that much of a problem as the room did cool off with the window open,
Excellent location
Parking is probably.small.as it was already full.
We try to stay here whenever we stop in Salamanca and it’s always a pleasure. Very nice hotel.
Central location, comfort
All good
Local, room fittings, comfort, dinner and breakfast menu

Location excellent, staff very nice.
The temperature control for the room not working, the room was uncomfortably warm. 18 euros for breakfast too expensive
Great location, easy walk to all the sights, restaurants etc. Beautiful hotel, renovated to a good standard
It was all good!
Friendly staff, good accommodation, ease of access. location.
