Breakfast was awesome. Every day was a new surprise and the food was so good. It was a well balanced meal with fruit, a scone or muffin, some main dish and a wide assortment of tea or coffee and juice.
The shower was a bit small. That was the only negative part.
Formal breakfast on back porch was a real treat. Delicious!
Beautiful historic property, tastefully decorated in keeping with its age, but also subtly modernised. Large bedroom with a very comfy huge bed. Our hostess was very welcoming and gave us a brief history of the house and also a really good description of the village and where to find different eating places. She even booked us a table at the local fine dining restaurant (the Belfry) which we would thoroughly recommend. Breakfast was multi-course and deliciously home-cooked, served either on the verandah or in the dining room. There were lots of characterful details everywhere, including period crockery and cutlery. The location was excellent - within 5 minutes' walking of the village centre.
Although our room was not airconditioned itself (it did have a perfectly adequate electric fan), the neighbours' aircon unit was located just next to our window. Some guests may find the noise disturbing although it was fine for us.
The architecture, the room/bed, common areas, homemade breakfast, friendly owners.
The place, cleanness and comfortable was great. Very charming house and rooms. We had everything we need at hand: soap, shampoo, conditioner, body moisturize, bottle of water. The omelet for breakfast was quite special and delicious :-) highly recommended.
The price was a bit high compared to others "Bed & breakfast" in the area - we pay over $250 for 1 night and it was not yet high season.
