The room had AC
Shower curtain did not work. Had to switch rooms due to leak in bathroom. Fridge wasn’t plugged in. Pool closed at 10pm. Location is all uphill.
The view and the pool were beautiful
There is no staff available at the reception desk at any time. We had no toilet seat. We had ko air conditioning the first night. Called the hotel and spoke so someone who said they would come help. We waited hours and they never came. Windows in the bathroom without curtains and looks into the hotel hallway. We had to use towels to cover them up.
The view from the front door of our room was phenomenal. Cleaning service did their job while we were out. Building was a really cool design on the top of the hill. Good location. Felt safe. Mostly families, no loud partiers.
The road farthest away from the beach, that Maps told us to use to get up to the hotel was TERRIFYINGLY steep. And the road the other was has a one-way alley that you just have to chance and go through (no signs saying which way, it's just only enough room for one car). Staff are not really around, though we found someone when we really needed it. Also there are no elevators and a whole whack of stairs throughout the place. If you have bad knees or aren't in shape, not the hotel for you. Carrying the cooler up and down from the car wasn't super fun, but doable.
The facilities were lovely. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. We had two terraces and the grounds were beautiful with a pool and outdoor grill area. The view is inland with the mountain jungle view. The AC in the bedroom worked well too.
Room service knocked on our door almost every morning between 10-11am to clean. Our bedroom only had one solid cleaning during the seven nights with no refill of soap. We also had to ask for clean towels and drinking water.
Pool area was so peaceful, very relaxing. Nice to be in a quiet part of town away from the crowded streets!
