Very good location, opposite station and bus stops. Easy parking, at extra cost. Small bar available. Rooms clean and staff helpful. Multilingual. No, everything was as expected.
The rooms were functional. I found the stay at the hotel impersonnal and too basic.
Convenient location, friendly hotel staff. Very convenient to have free internet access in the lobby of the hotel, we were able to check in for our flight and have the details sent to our mobile phones, this saved alot of time for us. Nothing to complain about really but it depends on what your requirements are. The room is pretty basic but it was clean and it worked fine for us because we were not staying very long and spent most of our time out and about.
It was very quiet and just opposite of the train station. It is ideal if you have to go both to Zurich and Zug The room was not very clean when I came
A fellow guest entertained us at dinner playing the flute. The chapel was lovely. Staff was so unclear and disorganized, noone told about dinner served which would have been included. Instead we purchased the only item available in the cafe- potato soup which was good but inadequate. Rooms are very sparse.
I actually liked the fact that there was no TV set in the room and I appreciated the atmosphere of an old monastery. The people in the reception were very nice, the room was big and clean. I think it's a comment for most of the Swiss hotels I have stayed in so far - improve the breakfast :) Bread, some cheese, cereal is tasty but a bit more variety would be nice.
I liked the fact there was not TV set in the room. The hotel is in a very quiet village, extremely quiet and nice area. Great place to be. Breakfast - the "sickness" of most Swiss hotels I have been to - the variety is not that rich.
I loved the Kloster Kappel as did my wife and her sister. We had a room for three and thoroughly enjoyed the views from the room over the Kloster garden and the countryside dotted with cows with their cowbells ringing. The Kloster was immaculate and very quiet. We loved the fact that the cafe was open late (11:00) for drinks, snacks, and dessert. If you have a car and want to stay in a wonderful, restful area just on the outskirts of Zurich ((but 10 minutes from the Baar train station) then you have to stay here!! We will be back!! Thank you for a excellent experience!
Monastery, great building, immaculatly kept rooms.good bathroom Quiet location, but somewhat distant. Good value for money by Swiss standards Sparse room decoration, no TV small Bed, modest breakfast.
Hotel is very nice. Very quiet place, perfect for one stay travelling through Swedzeland. We have specious time.
The surroundings are very nice and quiet. The architecture of the hostel is astonishing, it's a real ancient and well restored abbey. We were kindly welcomed and briefed in our own language (french). The main activity of the Kloster remains bound to religion. We were litterally robbed at the restaurant of the village (outside of the hostel).
the ambiance was very special, good double glazed windows that keep the room quiet - the bells of the cows in the area.... so you can get to sleep
Room location of the room, construction area, no view
When I had a problem with my shower theowner was happy to rectify it right away and upgrade my room.
The jacuzzi bath and the large number of pillows in the room. The room was big There was no room service and the restaurant seemed slow and dead
The beds are comfortable. The room is large. You can to get into the hotel just with card, but no staff at all in the hotel!!! If you forget you card no chance to come in. No staff during the day and not at night. The location is directly on the main busy road and nothing around! The restorant in hotel was close and near you have just bar that open in the evening and noisy. I hardly not recomend this hotel.
Clean, good enviroment & designe,
Nice place, up on the hill over looking lake Zurich. Check out time is too early.
Excellent atmosphere, nice staff and guests, excellent walking nearby and view of lake. A bit difficult to reach by public transport (steep hills).
Beautiful views but you pay for them. Good breakfasts No T.V., no Radio, No Wifi, no soap...very bare bones
The Pay TV Just starts on its own without any consent.
very very convenient to Zurich center and airport!!!
Convinient, nice restaurant overlooking the lake. Only 20 min from Zurich and reasonably priced Traffic into Zurich is a nightmare. Take the train!
convenient location (in front of train station) hotel parking lot is small (little space for wagon-style cars to maneuver) and expensive. breakfast is also too expensive enven in Swiss standard (25 SFr per person), which substantially increased the overall room rate.
The view from my room was amazing plus the breakfast is served on the last floor and the view from that floor is even better especially in the morning. They still use the old traditional keys for the rooms insted of electronic cards, so i had to ask for my key everytime i came back from a trip.
Location was fine for my purposes.
In the morning, the waitress led me to a cantine for group without checking my room number. Acutally, I should have a much better breakfast in another better cantine.
Location - right next to the lake and really close to the train station. The train connection from the airport or city is easy and quick.
View of the lake from 5th floor reasturant Yes the railway station right on the doorstep between lake and hotel
Friendly staff Hotel sitated in front of the railway station; rather noisy place, especially during summer, if you want to sleep with an open window.
The beautiful Lake side view and panoramic mountains view. Very quite place for relaxation No reception, no staff to refair to during our stay, no manager in charge
The hotel is in what seems to be a sleepy little town about half an hour away from the main city, Zug, and you have to take two buses from the hotel to get there. The ride takes about half an hour one way, and the buses dont run very late or frequent. However, this does not necessarily have to be a problem. The beautiful scenery is well worth it...you have a lake to yourself and the soothing sound of the cow bells on the mountainsides. And although there can be some noise from the trucks that pass, you soon block this out. When it comes to eating, you better stack up in Zug....there does not seem to be much food places in Morgarten.
n/a poor breakfast, rooms are not very comfortable, not notified in advance that we had to move the next day.
the position overlooking the lake was great. There was a great childrens playground there.the restaurant was good but expensive like other swiss restaurants. It was three flights of stairs up to our room and there was no lift.
Very nice location and very nice hotel. I admired Morgarten. Wonderful place. Breakfast is a little bit poor but the rest are perfect. There is no internet connection in the rooms. But anyhow you can find internet at the local area in the hotel. Otelin oldugu mekan yanı morgarten cok nefis bir yer. Oralara yolunuz duserse mutlaka gorun. Manzaraya ve temiz havaya doyamayacaksınız. Oltanızı da yanınızda goturmeyi unutmayın :). Poor breakfast and there is no internet connection in the rooms.
Very convenient, good parking and very good price. I would have liked an extra pillow and a TV would be great.
The helpful staff, the peace and quiet, the decor, the fact that there was no TV I would have liked an extra power point in the room
The wellness area was nice. The Keller bar was too smokey for my taste.
Clean, quite and confotable Everything was OK
Splendid. Postcard views. Incredible facilities. Business center. Free parking. Free internet. Great breakfast. If you are in Zurich and have a car do not pay through you nose for a substandard hotel. Travel 50 minutes and do your self a big favor and stay here.
The service is impeccable. The restaurant is good. The hotel is functional.. No charm whatsoever. Accessing my room was quite disorienting having to zigzag through corridors. The hotel is clinical but unfortunately totally charmless.
Thomas was very accommodating, allowing us to use the private hotel laundry facilities. He was always available to answer questions or help us with any problems we may have had. The contrast and juxtaposition between old Swiss and Swiss Modern was a little confusing at first, but overall the physical facilities were quite good.
I was suprised on Hotel's staff friendliness and welcome approach, as well as the pleasure to use next-door spa for free!!
Nice and clean room.
tHey allow you to bring pets ( i.e. dog )
