We have booked for Lemongrass and Ginger again this year because we were very happy there february 2018. A sweet little family hotel very quiet and home like. Friendly staff immediately help you when ask something. We had, for instance, a problem with our airco but even though it was late, the trouble was fixed within 15 minutes! Great! It is a few minutes with tuktuk out of the noisy centre located on main road 6, but a bit backwards from the road itself, like 25/30 meters, quietly hidden and protected against trafic noise, dust and exhaust fumes. There is a nice little, very clean swimmingpool partly surrounded by walls of neighnbour buildings and many big pots with beautifull big plants and trees provide a lot of privacy and garden experience while bathing. The 20 meter lane up to the hotel from the street is a botanic area with beautifull orchids on both sides also above your had so you walk under the orchids. The rooms are simple but very nice and clean with sandstone floortiles and also the bathrooms have sandstone sinks and the watersupply is high standard. Hot water every minute of the day and good waterpressure, so great showers! European standard I would say as a Dutch. Like last year we haven't seen any bugs or mosquitoes in room or building. No noise through the walls of neighbour clients. It is a solid older, but recently renovated building. Daily cleaning, very good bed/matras and pillows and nice sheets. Daily drinking water bottles and soft drinks in your fridge with freezing compartment wich I used sometimes for food that I took from market. Happy to keep my neccesary medication preserved against the heat. Every morning breakfast, simple but tastefull and good quality products. I loved my big plate with fruits, pineapple melon banana, so much every morning! Water cooker in the room and daily coffee supply made us prepare coffee in our own room. We stayed in both superior room and the junior suite.

The only thing, we had sometimes a communucation problem when in the nighttime there was no English speaking staff. It gave some difficulties with question or wish…. So far no complains….

Good breakfast There was a free tuktuk service one way into town at 6 pm They forgot to clean our room once, they brought towels and bed sheet when we reported it Nice pool Good price quality

Forgot cleaning once Not always clear communication Location too far from tourist center, you have to take tuktuk

I felt the pricing of the place was good, wifi was excellent, bed very comfortable, a/c was strong and a nice overhead ceiling fan. Pool was really nice after a hot day at Angkor Wat and breakfast was a buffet with daily item chAnges.

Hotel was a bit far from town, maybe a 20 minute walk until you got to the bridge / river then a nice quiet walk from there. Disappointed when hotel driver left at 3 pm without us from airport when our flight landed at 2:25 and they must know that visa on arrival and immigration take over a half hour to get through.... we got out of airport at 3:15, driver long gone. After we pay for taxi ourselves to get to hotel their response “ oh well, we waited until 3 pm “..... don’t count on airport pick up.... tuk tuk cost was only $8.... know the address of hotel, only had one tuk tuk driver in 5 days know where the hotel was.

The bathrooms were very good. The hotel had a pool, one of the reasons we chose this place. The staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful but we're largely ineffective.

First room we moved into on the ground floor had a shutter which did not close and a safe which could not lock, and which wasn't fixed to anything, so couldn't really be described as a safe. We moved rooms to the first floor, again the window/shutter could not be closed. Nor did the fridge work. The rooms were tiny and dark. Even if we had opened the windows they looked out onto a very tall wall. Two consecutive days we told the staff we would be out early visiting temples so requested a box breakfast, which they advised they would provide. Neither day was it provided. The location was further from town centre than we expected and than was advertised. When we arrived there was nobody available to let us in and it took three phone calls and 15 minutes before anyone arrived. Checkout took ages too. The staff member on duty didn't know how to use the credit card machine so we paid by cash and they had no change, even though we were amongst the last to leave that day.

The bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. To do justice to the name, they serve chilled lemongrass and ginger tea which tastes so refreshing after the travel from Phnom Penh on a hot day. Though it is right on the main street, the rooms are far enough for you to have a quiet sleep after a day of exploring Angkor Wat.

I liked every aspect of the hotel and my stay but FYI, there is no elevator. So if you have knee pains or have trouble walking up and down the stairs, you should not choose the rooms upstairs, the one that we did.
