Good quality, functional hotel in a relatively remote location.
the views the food wasn't that good
stunning 360 degrees views from hotel and very convenient location
Locaton and views
Our time at the guesthouse was wonderful. We were welcomed by the owner and her three happy dogs. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast option in the morning which was affordable and tasty if a bit sparce. We would absolutely visit again. The kitchen area was being remodeled while we were there which was a little inconvenient. However it will be quite nice once the remodel is complete.
Excellent friendly staff.
Superb location with spectacular views of cliffs. Excellent local food with buffet breakfast. Evening meals out of season are a la carte, not buffet - really good local lamb and fish. Prices are normal for Icelandic hotels of this standard - may seem high to visitors from other parts of the world. Very nice pine-clad rooms. No. I notice some people have complained about the heating. Underfloor heating takes longer to adjust the temperatue. Just give it time, or open the window for a while!
The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The hotel is set back from the highway so there was no noise from the late night truck traffic even with the window open. The food at the restaurant was reasonably priced for Iceland and was excellent with large well prepared portins. We recommend the roast lamb! A substatial breakfast was included.
I stayed in one of the rooms in the brand new building and it was extremely clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was great. They had homemade bread and homemade rhubarb jam that was very tasty. I liked this place so well I tried to book another night, but they were full.
The smell of the room was a bit offensive, provably beacues of the sulphurus waters.
The room was spacious, clean and well laid out. Beautiful location. Waffle maker for breakfast buffet. We had both dinner and the breakfast buffet, both were good but not great. No soap in room. Office staff quickly found a soap dispenser for us.
Cleaning - service - room hot pots landscapes No bad point
Basic hotel Located at 4km from Vik village. Not really sexy.
nothing specials for us diner ( buffet ) expensive
I loved the mountain lodge feel of the hotel. Staff was super friendly and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. Wish the hot tubs were a little hotter but still had an excellent stay. I would definitely recommend staying here. I really didn't like the cloth shower curtains. They are incredibly close to you when you try to shower and end up having very little space to shower without touching them.
Staff very helpful and friendle. Room was comfortable but too warm. Food very good in evening and morning breakfast was excellent Room was very hot and difficult to regulate the underfloor heating.
This Hotel is situated in very nice place and very sutable to visit many events and attractions
Right off of ring road, across from a good pizza place. Internet worked well. The bed felt damp which was unpleasant. The hotel is pretty shabby looking.
The cottage was cute...small tight accomodations but overall it did the job! Close to Vik attractions. Noise carries over...when using the shower, water doesnt drain well. A bit cramped.
staff and location were nice Room was clean, Breakfast was great in the Icelandic Air Hotel pricing and facility difficult to understand we were in cottage that is part of Edda, we paid a good amount for the cottage, possibly due to HOTEL . COM last minute practices.. I dont Know. Part of the same facility is Icelandic AIR Hotel that is new. Same office for Edda and Icelandic and cottages Cottage ran out of hot water after one shower
Staff were exceptional, very pleasant and attentive. Breakfast very enjoyable. Proximity of room to Breakfast area, nothingto be done about this. It was extremely clean and inviting, but the room was very hot, seems hard to control the heat. We did open windows but no screens so I didn't want to open them very far for fear of cat/bat/bird/racoon or some other animal climbing into room in middle of night, but maybe that isn't a problem on Icelandic farms. I should have asked.
