Staff was very professional and caring, and the place flawless.
The hotel was set in gorgeous gardens, which were very welcome after a bumpy car journey along the gravel track to the hotel (this only added to the charm of the experience!). The evening meal was delicious and breakfast served on the terrace in the sun was lovely. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us, we wish were staying an extra night! The stunning sunset in the evening was an added bonus!!
The property is beautiful. The room is a good size. It is a very tranquil setting. It is in a palmerie near a restored kasbah. Has a nice terrace and pool. Fresh herbs are growing everywhere.
The bathroom is beautiful but too dark, my husband couldn't shave. Dinner is served from a rotating menu with 1 selection a day. I tried to find out the offering for our day ahead of time but could not get a response. When we arrived we were told what the 4 course dinner being served was and we decided to skip it. We are not eating fresh unpeeled fruit or vegies, the first course was that. The second course was a vegie omelet and while he would have eaten that I am not a big egg eater. The third course was a lamb tangine thing and well if you have eaten in Morocco, .....desert was an apple tart which we both would have eaten. My husband was not feeling well and another same meal @210 dirham pp just did not sound appealing. We graciously declined and they graciously said they would make us something else but we had had a late lunch so we were just going to skip it and let him rest up and get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately this was not accepted as an answer. The dinner subject happened at least 4 times with each contact getting more insistent that we eat dinner. They even knocked on our door at 6:20 to ask again would we be eating. The hotel is owned by a French couple and she is passive aggressive. She was greeting guests by the pool, confronted my husband and again graciously offered to have them cook him something else, rice or spaghetti etc. He graciously declined and then she asked him point blank if it was the Moroccan cuisine and menu, as she is French he indicated yes this was part of the issue, but she wouldn't let it go. She even started again as we were paying our bill the next morning, why didn't we eat and she was not going to bill us, which it was not on our bill. I recognize that 420 dirham, ~ $42. USD for dinner is a big revenue source for them but she should have let our no thank you stand without trying to make us uncomfortable or apologetic. As I said it was a very passive aggressive exchange.
Everything was perfect and as expected from what I read when booking Kasbah Tebi online. The reviews make justice to the place, and I'm another happy customer.
