Strandhill Lodge, Hostel & Surf School

The staff was super nice! Great place and perfect location. Excellent value for money and location. The lodge was right next to the ocean and the view was amazing. Clean, cozy room with friendly staff and perfect location to the beach! There was a kitchen:) The staff was very friendly and Strandhill is definitely worth a visit.

Room very basic with shared bathroom. Totally inadequate for the price, WiFi not working. Car park at the back a bit scary at night in the winter with the howling wind and rain and no lights on at the back. Since it is near the sea, it is humid (we stayed here in wintertime). Moldy carpets, exceptionally aggressive manager, too expensive for what is offered. Never again.

The rooms are clean and cozy with friendly staff. The beds are comfortable, and the shared bathrooms are spotlessly clean. The double bed was tiny, so the staff very kindly provided an extra mattress and sheets. The bedroom was so clean and spacious and airy. Perfect.

Perfect accommodation for a surf trip, near the beach and adjacent to the surf school and rental. The lodge has the feel of an old Irish beach house. The location is great, right by the beach with a restaurant across the road. Staff were extremely friendly. The surf lesson was very beginner-friendly and by far the best thing I have done on my trip.
