10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is eager to assist you. The manager is available and smart and setting a high bar every hour of the business day.i
Cons: I did not feel safe when I went outside. New Haven is rife with have-nots making the haves pay attention to those suffering in our capitalist society. It is Very Very sad
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well appointed rooms and laid out perfectly. Cookies at night were excellent as well as the coffee in the morning. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: That I couldn't stay longer!
8.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms and beds with individual thermostats and a spacious bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located relatively close to everything. Courteous and attentive staff.
Cons: The free breakfast was mediocre to low quality; though they did change out the options daily, the options were few. The eggs were bland and made with egg-beaters as opposed to fresh eggs, and without salsa/tobasco (my preference) I didn't have anything to put on them to make them taste any better besides pepper, which didn't help much - similar issue with the cheese omelets. Also, while fresh fruit was available the first day, it was not changed out daily and by the time we left the bananas had gone brown.
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: shower
Cons: pool was dirty, didn't have towels, restroom sink/toilet? (didn't look, just reported) overflowing windows so dirty couldn't see out of them staff only miminimally concerned about pool

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Facilities are modern and up-to-date. Very clean.
Cons: Parking fees are not included in booking prices
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, well furnished and comfortable
Cons: Having to pay extra for parking
9.4 Excellent
Pros: I loved it all. My stay was not long enough.
Cons: Wish there was a deep tub in my room. Pool side hot tub would have been nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great friendly staff
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A clean renovated hotel just a few blocks walk from Yale's old campus and art galleries. The breakfast buffet was inexpensive and ample and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Everything was very clean, and the rooms are quite nicely appointed. Most of the staff was very nice, too (there was just one check-in person who I found a bit rude).
Cons: No breakfast included - even of the most basic kind. It's located on a somewhat dicey street. The workout facilities were minimal. The views from the room were ugly, and a bright light from the garage comes in unless you use the full blinds.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly staff, quick checkin/out, clean rooms, great location
Cons: AC was set to 60 deg but never got below 72-75.. and the bed wasn't overly comfortable.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Front desk staff was very hospitable and friendly. When I asked for a room modification instead of acting like it was nuisance they happily looked into it and ended up accomodating. The room was clean and very comfortable. I will definitely be returning!
7.7 Good
Pros: Location to Yale. Clean.
Cons: Expensive parking.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Location in downtown New Canaan
Cons: Someone is apparently in it for the money only here, the New Haven Hotel offers no value and certainly no "caring" attitude. For that it charges too much at $ 159 per night. You get: - Good downtown location. - Clean room, good size. - Thin walls, to hear the neighbors, and everyone from the hallways. - Mattresses of dubious quality. - Breakfast, a stale buffet in a dark 2nd floor room, is an unfriendly reminder that nobody cares, and at $ 13.99 someone wants to make good money. - Self parking at the Temple Garage at $ 20 overnight, when the public rate is $ 16, no value add, just a surcharge by the hotel. Staff could have pointed out that there is a free parking on weekends around and across... - Very friendly and helpful receptionist, one person only. And Housekeeping knocking at the door at 9am on a Sunday morning makes this a bit of a bad dream in New Haven. Good luck!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room comfortable, nicely laid out.
Cons: bathtub could have been cleaner. Limited TV options. Ice machine not present on second floor.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Everything was decorated very well and the bed was super comfortable. The microwave and fridge were very needed and worked great. The shower pressure was good as was the layout of the room.
Cons: I normally like to stay at hotels with free breakfast. The Bistro was expensive for breakfast, snacks and drinks.

The hotel has 207 newly renovated rooms. The property is smoke-free. The rooms at the hotel have free wired and wireless Internet. They might want to check out East Rock Park and West Rock Park, Edgewood Park, Wooster Square, New Haven Harbor, and the Quinnipiac River. Some places to dine include Adriana’s Restaurant, Zoi’s on Orange, and Goodfellas Restaurant.
6.8 Good
Pros: The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
Cons: Only paper cups provided for coffee in the room. When we asked at the restaurant and front desk we were told that there were no other cups available. The housekeeper, however got us some regular cups.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: People and staff were very nice while they are going thru renovation.
Cons: There were college athletic teams also in the hotel that weekend..They ran up and down the halls till 3:00 am and to my knowledge no one ever asked them to hold the noise down.A constant party till about 3 or 4 am then they would all go into their rooms and go to sleep.Very annoying.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms and lobby, courteous staff. This hotel was what you'd expect from a Courtyard. I went to see Yale with my daughter and the hotel was only convenient to the schools athletic facilities. nice area though!
Cons: I didn't like paying for self- parking in an outdoor lot. There was a covered section but it was full. Once parked, I had a longish walk back to the lobby with my bags. The basic wifi is free. Hi-speed is $5.95. The basic was fine for slow-surfing the internet but to stream a movie, you might need to upgrade.
Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale - New Haven - Building

8.1 Excellent (1,649 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale is in the heart of New Haven, within a 5-minute walk of New Haven Green and Yale University Art Gallery. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-out. Planning an event in New Haven? This hotel has facilities measuring 22000 square feet (2044 square meters), including conference space. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Verry nice hotel, great location with a lot of accommodations. Don't let the price scare you, well worth it.
Cons: Woke up with a back ache, bed was not as comfortable as I would have expected. Access to wifi should be included, but you have to pay extra.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location , comfy beds abundant towels , great conference areas.
Cons: Lacking amenities like pool and expensive parking very cold unable to change room temp
6.8 Good
Pros: The attitude of the staff was wonderful. Above and beyond. It had a full service feel - staff only, not the facility, and certainly not the scary parking lot.
Cons: It simply was not as high end as I expected. I have had two kids attend college closeby, and I always dreamed of being able to afford staying at the Omni. We decided to splurge on our last night there after checking our of a rental house in the area. I guess I built it up in my head that it would be like a Four Seasons or something really nice, but it was no better than the Marriott or the New Haven Hotel which are half the price or less. Disappointing! I was totally unimpressed with the bedding especially, it was like a flash back to the 90's!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the Omni in New Haven—I stayed there during my 2 years at Yale getting my mba and now visit often for business
Cons: The hotel was completely overrun with unaccompanied minors. I realize (now) that the Omni was hosting students participating in the student UN event——but it should be made clear to the adults supervising, and the teens participating, that they’re staying in a hotel that includes other guests. They were holding elevators for friends, running up and down the halls, and congregating in the lobby such that it wasn’t available to others. Events like this, with kids of this age, would be better suited to a different hotel. Please don’t lower the expectations you have from guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing stay at beautiful clean hotel with courteous staff! I would highly recommend this hotel!!! Next time we visit my daughter we will definitely be staying there.
Cons: Place was extremely clean and staff couldn't do enough to make you happy! Haven't stayed in a place that was outstanding in cleanliness with amazing staff in years!!!
7.3 Good
Pros: The place is gorgeous! And the rooms were really nice!
Cons: It's more a trend. When you get a budget room, so many amenities are included. When you splurge for some luxury, I feel like you are charged for everything. Breakfast was not included, wifi costs extra, parking was $20 per day. Elevators seemed a bit slow and there's only one of the 3 that go to the garage levels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was incredible
6.2 Good
Pros: The neighborhood is marginal, and with a room on the 4th floor, you get a lot of noise well into the night. Only two elevators were working for almost 20 stories, with a wedding reception going on... made for really long waits.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bed is AMAZING. That has to be the best sleep that I have had in a very long time.
Cons: The hotel is in the heart of the city and apparently does not have sound proof walls so it is very noisy all the time however they do leave ear plugs on the night stand to compensate.

4.8 Okay
Pros: Price was ok
Cons: Kind of plain and rundown, entry roof looked like it was falling apart, breakfast not made by people but instead powdered eggs and not much there. I've stayed in better best westerns
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Privacy, fast check in
Cons: No complainta
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ok first off I commute to CT from NJ on the weekends for work, it's near a 2 hour drive and then working 12 hours to do it all over again takes a toll on your mind. Not having to drive back for one night was incredible, words can not describe how arete that felt. The hotel is within 5 minutes of my job. It's location is perfect, sitting next to many different places to eat and have a drink, close to many package store(Why do you guys call it that) and close to I-95. For the rate I had this was an amazing deal, had a great fridge and microwave, tv was better than my home one, breakfast in the morning was alright and I did love the variety of choices it did give. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful, always smiling. Free parking with security cameras was great seeing that I had many computers in my car it made me feel very secure. Water pressure in the room was great and the pillows were great as well. All around really great hotel, I'd recommend it to anyone in the area.
Cons: Towels need to be thicker, used like 3 to dry myself. Add a light near the entrance because the beginning of the parking lot was sketchy.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: The bathroom had hair and a used nose strip on the floor. one of those breath rite strips.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet was outstanding! And with a fridge and microwave in the room, I was able to save half of my waffle and some yogurt for lunch. Also there was flavored creamer that I greatly appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. TV was good and having HBO was a plus. Overall the positives way outweigh the negative. The fridge, microwave, good breakfast and good bed are plenty for me to return!
Cons: Both the AC and the highway could be noisy but it was nice they provided ear plugs. Shower knob was set up strangely and turned on and off different ways. And there is a pool but no whirlpool

2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Sounded like animals were crawling on room all night. Sink not in bathroom, did not feel safe.
6.0 Good
Pros: we are early risers so they definitely need to have coffee pots in the rooms since the office doesn't open till 7:30 every morning if you want to get coffee. otherwise you have to get dressed and go to a restaurant to get coffee also the ice machine is
Cons: in the office so if you come back to your room after it closes your out of luck.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: Pillow top bed
Cons: Little noisy
4.5 Okay
Pros: The staff were all accommodating and helpful. I really appreciated their friendliness and willingness to help. The location was also a plus.
Cons: My room had an overwhelming odor of ammonia. There were spots on the bed especially that smelled like cat urine. The comforter was not clean and many of the towels had a funky smell. The carpet had wet spots throughout the room, and overall the facilities felt unclean.
7.4 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly. The breakfast was great.
Cons: Not enough pillows, asked for more and they didn't have any. The TV did not have many channels.
4.2 Okay
Pros: I mentioned the breakfast was out of many items and the staff (a dark complected girl) said I was a racist!!. I was with my dark husband and I am white. It had NOTHING to do with racism. When I took out my phone to record her, she called the police saying I had no right to record her. The general manager (Rohit) came and we waited all morning to get our chance to speak with police who said we did nothing wrong. The General manager said he would comp our 2 day stay as his breakfast worker wrongly accused me of being a racist and ruined our day dealing with her. She further lied that she called police because my husband told her she should not have played the race card for no reason and it scared her. (not true, she called police because I was recording her) After telling me he would comp our family for wasting our day, the manager later put all charges back on our family's account that he said he would credit, AFTER we left and refused to speak with us until now! Even after we proved his worker lied to him about the events. By calling me a racist just because of the color of my skin IS racist on HER part. By the way, our children are all of mixed race.

6.5 Good
Pros: convenient to highway and colleges
Cons: Staff checking in was not friendly and was not helpful. I had trouble using my AAA when booking room. Upon arrival I explained to clerk. He flat out told me it was too late. He did not try to help, he did not make any effort to see if he could apply the AAA discount or ask a manager. I have stayed in enough hotels where this gesture is the norm. I will not be returning to this hotel when I visit my son at college.
6.0 Good
Pros: Access to hotel was easy and good. Staff made quick changes to an unsatisfactory initial room.
Cons: Initial room was supposed to be non-smoking - however the room smelled of smoke and the bed (foot/shoe cover) has burns in it. This room was a ground floor room and less than 10 feet from the air-conditioner were people outside smoking ... which made the smell worse.
7.6 Good
Pros: Pool
Cons: Fitness room very small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Front desk was outstanding here and went the extra mile. Shuttle driver and restaurants staff were also stellar.
6.0 Good
Cons: Very long walk to room. Included breakfast was sparse to non existent. definitely needs attention.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Leaving
Cons: Hookers, cigar smoke and loud parties. Paper thin walls, terrible bathroom. I wanted to take a shower after taking a shower in that shower. Who knows what was on the bed comforter. Turn on the TV and the first thing the TV system attempts to sell you is an adult movie. The real treat was when the guy in the room next to me had a hooker come to his room. The art of negotiation for a $20 favor was a bit elementary but hearing him finish was a sound I can't stop hearing.

2.8 Mediocre
Cons: Room reeked of smoke, was dirty and outdated, and the unit next door held a party from 2-4 am with shouting and fighting that spilled over into the parking lot. On top of that, front desk was understaffed and slow, parking lot was crowded, and stairs to second floor unit was outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I traveled with my husband and teenage son - we stayed in the 2 room loft - it was awesome space for all of us! Had a small kitchen with fridge - but most important we each had out own bathrooms. Cont breakfast was very decent. We didn't use the amenities. Easy on and off freeway which we did need. We had no views - but didn't care - that wasn't why we were staying there. Would recommend!
7.7 Good
Pros: Clean, comfortable bed
Cons: Noisy AC system, weird thermostat, it gets really cold then really hot, without me changing the temperature
6.0 Good
Pros: Good rate for a room with a full kitchen - Main lobby building and breakfast area was very nice with a nice outdoor patio. They accept pets.
Cons: Rooms are pet friendly, but they stick you in the back corner with the other pet owners - There is also a $75 charge for pets. Some of the residents who live long term at the Village Suites were a little sketchy. New Haven town is also a little sketchy - The only nice area we found was near the old Yale campus.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with plenty of space. Courteous and friendly staff. We didn't stay for long but it was a good stay. The room was clean and neat. I would definitely stay there again.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: We arrived just as the snow arrived. It was delightful to have a fireplace and space to relax with people during the storm. Loved the selection of teas available in the lobby in the afternoon and the waffles at breakfast in the morning.
Cons: Would have enjoyed having an Earl Grey in the tea selection . ;>)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable bed, completary breakfast, a home away from home.
Cons: Not many night life attractions, but isn't hotels fault.
6.0 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable with nice linens and pillows. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the waffles. We also enjoyed the complimentary popcorn.
Cons: The room was very clean and efficient, but the decor was a little "tired".
7.0 Good
Pros: Pool & Dinner was included, Perfectly wheelchair suitable,
6.7 Good
Pros: Spacious suite, room enough for 2 adults and 2 grown-up children; nice and relaxed atmosphere, everything we needed during this 2-nights stay!
5.2 Okay
Pros: Room, itself, was nice and it was quiet.
Cons: Although check-in is known to be at 3pm we arrived early from Norwalk area at 11am and then went to the front desk again ar 2pm and they never tried to be accomodating to us but just told us it was not guaranteeed until a 3pm arrival. The housekeep[ng staff should try to accomodate someone who is already at the locatiuon versus their traditional room-to-room approach. We did not get into the room until 3:15-3:30pm.When tyou pay over $200/nihgt, I'd lik ethe staff to try to be more accomodating.
7.2 Good
Pros: Room very confortable, nice breakfast, ideal for family
Cons: A little bit outside the city, no restaurants close by
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable beds, clean, nice kitchen everything needed was there, popcorn and candy jar, nice extras.
Cons: A/C unit was a little loud in the room.. Maintance room(locked door) could maybe be a little insulated to block noise.
6.0 Good
Pros: I loved the fact it had a warm and a cold pool. It was very pleasant to dive in after a long car journey. The room was very spatious.
Cons: The air-conditioning outside the room was very noisy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The complimentary hot breakfast and light evening meal.
Cons: It was an excellent choice, the only drawback being the location (a little out of the way and not close to food establishments) but we had a rental car so even that wasn't too much of a concern.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The owner dislikes his own guests and talks down to you while you're checking in. I asked for a replacement key after dinner and he called me a "bitch." Don't stay here.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean, the bed was comfy, and the owner even upgraded us to a king size bed for no extra charge. The free breakfast consisted of bagels, donuts, coffee, and orange juice and was good enough for us to get a jump start before we left. There is a little noise from the road but nothing enough to disrupt your sleep. Overall we had no issues
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rodeway are usually dumpy, I have to say. I read the reviews on this one at five stars and just had to try it. I wasn't disappointed. Yes, it had the usual shampoo only and Rodeway soap but the place was extremely clean, everything fresh and the staff was very kind. I'd stay here again!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: large
Cons: Toilet seat too low to ground, less than chair height.

Pros: Location was good. It was near to our family and was a convenient place for us to meet up with our daughter and grandchildren and spend the night.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: There were bed bugs and the smell of mold in a room. The gym was disgusting I don't think it ever had been cleaned. Nor do I think the bathrooms that were near the gym had ever been cleaned. I'll give him a plus that at least they brought in a new refrigerator as the old refrigerator was full of dirt on the backside
6.8 Good
Cons: Hotel was fine, a little dingy is all
6.5 Good
Pros: I paid around $60, and it was about worth that. The room was fine - comfy bed. Good water pressure in shower. Very convenient location just off 95. ,I paid around $60, and it was about worth that. The room was fine - comfy bed. Good water pressure in shower.
Cons: Breakfast was minimal - no fresh fruit and hosted in a crowded hot room. Hallways were very dirty - this hotel would do well to get rid of the carpets and start clean.
6.5 Good
Pros: Right off 95 very convient. Room was clean. Pool & gym. Continental breakfast. Great for a quick stay. Can't beat the price.
Cons: This hotel draws a creepy group of other guests...... But for the price ($55) I was just looking for a clean place to stay overnight.

Pros: Clean rooms good breakfast
Cons: No refrigerator or microwave in rooms
6.2 Good
Pros: We stay here often because of the pool! It is nicely heated and has seats with air jets sort of like a cross between a pool and a hot tub! My grandson loves it. It is an older building and needs more care and repairs but the beds are still comfortable and the free breakfast is good.
Cons: Smoking rooms are near pool.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The pool was warm and deserted. The room was spacious.
Cons: The bed was extremely uncomfortable! Breakfast was only til 10 and wished it was too 10:30.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked friendly staff. You have the best breakfast from 6 motels in the area that I stayed over the past 3 months. Rooms are clean and cozy.
Cons: There was no microwave in the room. Everybody were using 1 microwave from breakfast area. 2 would be better.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant staff. Got in quick. Everything was clean. Pleasantly surprised. Other hotels in the area got poor reviews, so we took a stab here. Really happy with the results along with the price.

5.7 Okay
Pros: The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. It is the only hotel close to my family.
Cons: Pool was broken/closed which was something we were counting on for the kids. They missed a day of cleaning our room. The fitness center machines didn't all work and couldn't get the TV working. Room was ok. Overall, place could have been cleaner. My family has been staying here for years and it just seems to have been going slowly downhill.

Cons: Air Conditioner wasn't great. Breakfast didn't look worth eating and wasn't fully stocked at 6:30 when we were leaving so we skipped it.

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: Everything! I walked in and it took the front desk lady 10mins to greet me, supposedly the Old Lady was sick!! She gives me a room that was not cleaned and used by someone else!! Trash and pizza boxes were still in the room and beds weren't made with dirty sheets on them!! The Wifi was terrible, The second room was alittle better but it smelled OLD. I would say it's a 1 STAR motel!!
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: This was bad news bears!
Cons: No heat in my first room. The phone was dead so I walked back to get another room. The lady was pissed off. My next room had crusty sheets and a gunky tub. The traffic noise also kept me up till 1:30am. The tv's are from the 50's and the continental Breakfest was as thin as you've ever seen.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: The bed was comfortable, and there was a fridge and microwave in the room.
Cons: Very sleazy appearance on the outside, lots of down-and-out people. The inside smells horrible, bleach and dark stains all over the carpet in the room, just a shower and no bathtub. Not a great value for the price. Sadly, not the worst hotel in the area.
6.0 Good
Pros: Okay
7.7 Good
Pros: good location
Cons: Didn't find any socket in the room
5.4 Okay
Pros: It's a 2 star hotel, so if you stay there and expect that, it was fine. The room seemed clean. The drawback is if you are a light sleeper, you will have a hard time getting a good night sleep, as Whitney St is busy and loud at times. I'm not a light sleeper, so I had no problem falling and staying asleep.
Cons: My 4th time staying there because it's so convenient to Quinnipiac where my daughter attends..
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly staff. I was greeted with a smile every time. The room I stayed in was clean, had a sheik look and was comfortable. I got a tv, fridge, and a lot of space for the money I paid. I loved the location. It's in a nice, small, but quiet town with easy access to the gas station and freeway.
Cons: It's a bit on the older side so no complaints about that but there was a distinct smell around the office area.
5.7 Okay
Pros: My room was clean it was close to the office. There was no smell of smoke in the room
Cons: The outlets did not work so I had to take turns plugging in my iPad and phone . The bottom of the iron was dirty,,The outlets did not work so I had to take turns plugging in my iPad and phone . The bottom of the iron was dirty,
