What are the pros of staying at Residence Boujaafar?
The sea view from the room is wonderful. Staff are really good and helpful. Breakfast in the nearest restaurant on the ground floor. Location of the hotel very good. Good value for money, but still comfortable and safe. Beds comfortable, lots of space. Central heating. WiFi works most of the time. Friendly staff. Safe. Clean linen. Spacious rooms. Working bathroom and shower with hot water. No leaks. Also comes with breakfast. Lots of space. Simple but clean. Friendly staff. Double beds were 2 singles, so worked for our family. For this price it's really good as working bathroom with no leaks, friendly staff and breakfast included. Has lift or stairs. Good view. Very good location. Close to the centre of the City and beach. Fantastic view from hotel number. Just a walking distance to the City Market and Ribat of Sousse, main sightseeing. Huge space with beautiful view over the beach. Bathroom pretty clean, good room service and friendly staff. The hotel is located very close to the beach. Actually it's on the other side of the street. I also had a room on 6th floor looking on the sea. It was a great to wake up on the bed by the window. Near to the airport. Location, sea view, cozy place, friendly staff, good value for the price. Now I can leave my heavy luggage and travel to El jem, Kairuan and Monastir. Lovely place, friendly staff, by the sea. Has a nice atmosphere. It's really good price. Has a decent but simple breakfast. Has a lift. Good views. Secure place to stay as the staff are trustworthy. You can park on the street outside. The location was extremely close to the beach which was a very beautiful sandy beach. That was really the only nice thing about it. It was a good job that across the hotel was a cafe with plentiful choices of food. We aren’t a fussy family and quite easily adapt and just go with the flow so didn’t really complain as we were only here for two nights and had planned to not stay much at the hotel anyway as we wanted to do a lot of sight seeing. The surrounding area, there isn’t much to see just local shops but if you walk along another 10 minutes you will find lots of cafes and restaurants and a Madinah shopping mall. Also there are pirate ships for decent prices if you bargain which can come with food and a little cruise for about an hour. We enjoyed this experience. Also there is a lovely mosque in high looks very similar to the Azhar mosque in Cairo. Regarding Residence Boujaafar we really liked the location. We had a great view to the beach. From the hotel to the beach was 30 seconds walking. And there are many cheap restaurants close by. The staff was so kind and they speak English, French and Arabic. The property is beautiful with lots of amenities. Very lovely atmosphere and friendly stay. We loved our time here. Good location. The size of the room is big. Next to the beach. Nice view. The hotel was next to the beach, with a great view over the entire sea. This is a budget hotel, but it does a great job for the price. We are regular visitors. Simple Tunisian style rooms that are clean and with working bathrooms. Basic cooking facilities and a fridge. Right by the sea front and close to the centre of town. Breakfast at the café next door is Tunisian style with an egg, croissant, cake, bread and jam and a cup of coffee. There is a cheap Tunisian restaurant across the road. Right by the beach and an easy walk to the centre of town The room was big and the beds comfortable. Great place. By the sea. Staff friendly. Friendly staff. Clean. Really affordable, so therefore ok to be simple, with basic (but clean) bedding. Nice blue and white decorated rooms. Beds are comfy. Toilet and shower all working. Nice breakfast in cafe next door. Has simple cooking facilities. Lovely sea view. Big room for 4 people, with part of it sectioned off into a separate room. Lovely staff. Easy going. Not too noisy.
What are the cons of staying at Residence Boujaafar?
The room , everything is way too old , unpleasant smell. WiFi worked but slow. Dated bathroom, but clean and in a lovely Tunisian style. Area usually safe, but this time our car was broken into. Loud music on Friday and Saturday night, but you could block it out as on 3rd floor (there are two higher floors). Decor is old, but for the price, this is absolutely fine. Sometimes a bit of night club noise, but not too bad most of the year. Starting from reception which is the first interaction point with residents... No smile No eye contact!! Moving to the state of the room, No electricity at all form 5am to 10 am, door handel is half broken, TV remote control doesn't work, too much noise coming from the bar at late night (maybe drunk people screaming and shouting to each other) !!! Breakfast is getting smaller and smaller cold (cold croissant+ cold coffee). Every day the same breakfast. Close to the noisy street and clubs. Nothing. No iron and no hair drier. bathroom can be renovated. It could have been cool to have a kettle too. Old style decor, but tasteful. Bathroom simple, but everything working, no plumbing problems. There was very limited items for breakfast. Eggs, cake, croissant and coffee which was luke warm. There were no options for cereal. The facilities were not clean, especially the shower room. We all avoided having a shower and held it off until we went to our next more expensive hotel. Although this was cheap we were expecting something of more basic standard and cleanliness. There were cockroaches and the kitchen sink and fridge in our room was not usable. The toilets hadn’t been cleaned before our use. personal not good, please pay a lot if money, they not friendly. Everything just the view. Old building, poor breakfast, poor Internet. Air conditioning was not working. Breakfast has no buffet and you can not choose whatever you want. If you want more croissants to eat, they say to you to pay. You can only eat 1 croissant, 1 coffee, 1 cake and 1 marmalade. The cistern was out of order. They accept only cash. The staff was a bit pushy during check in. Top sheet would be nice. There were no pans, dishes or utensils at all in the room so what was the point of providing a stove? The breakfast was in the cafe downstairs and it was dark and full of people smoking. The food was not very varied, just carbohydrates. The hotel looked better in the photos! There is no clear sign outside with the name of the hotel. I've stayed multiple times and usually nice and quiet, but because it is Ramadan there was a disco somewhere down the street playing till 1am. I think most places will have similar issues in Ramadan as people tend to be night owls.
