High-class hotel with big, well furnished rooms each with a balcony. It's right in the town but walkable from railway station. Good breakfast.
It is not cheap.
I liked the location to see Stein am Rhein. The stay was also verz comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.
We came to the hotel around 1:00 after a long flight to Zurich. The receptionist was less than helpful saying that it was a "pity" that our room would not be ready until check-in time at 4:00. They were not busy and he did not check to see if even one room was ready for our 80 year old mother to rest. It was impersonal and in poor taste. He also offered coffee and then added it to the bill at 4.50 euro per cup.
The room was comfortable and clean, espresso machine in the room
The swiming pool is very small
Superb luxury hotel in a charming small town. Beautiful room with balcony and a small bar with sink for making coffee etc. Very comfortable. Food is of a very high standard but inevitably expensive.
It would be difficult to criticise such a well-apponted and well-run hotel, with such helpful staff.
Very comfortable and spacious rooms - location is very special and the town very accessible
I was surprised by the lack of manners displayed by a senior member of staff at reception - the one night stay was not cheap and there was a distinct lack of appreciation for my business - also beware the mini-bar - I am happy to pay mini-bar prices but the quality of the products was sub-standard - and 21 swiss francs for a sub-standard glass of proseco is not palatable
Hotel elegancy & site
Being next to the water of the Rhein
Access to the hotel garage a bit complicated
Beautiful location. The town is delightful and quaint. Excellent restaurants, although a bit pricey.
The room was large and clean.
We had a room facing the street and it was noisy.
Big room, good facilities
Room service and restaurant close oddly early therefore if you want to have something to eat at 10pm for example you have to ask for a sandwich or a salad at the bar
