6.2 Good
Pros: Michelle (i think that was her name) upgraded us so we could get an early check in; our reserved room wasn't ready.
Cons: Other than Michelle, the other staff was apathetic and not particularly helpful. E.g we went to the front desk to request the shuttle for 15 mins later. The shuttle driver was there and said, "I was about to take lunch, but I guess I'll take you. It has to be in 15 mins." We came back 15 mins later and waited another 15 mins before he took us. There was another valet/shuttle driver so not sure what that was about. It was Sunday afternoon, not busy. We were also charged $10.85 for a beer and a smart water from the mini bar even though we never opened the mini bar. They did reverse the charge after I saw it on my credit card statement and called but seemed sketchy. Overall, it was disappointing. I'll stay the Renaissance in walnut creek over this place.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Pool and spa area are beautiful. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Great location, close to freeway and BART.
Cons: 20 dollar per night parking fee. Our room had a view of the kitchen roof.
6.2 Good
Pros: Luxurious. Friendly.
Cons: Paid almost $700.00/2 nights. I only used it to sleep so it was not worth it to me. The parking fee seems too much when hotel fee is already high. The toilet paper is rough. They checked me out for a different persons room and when I called it took them a while to find the mistake.

Pros: First class fitness center, comfortable rooms, excellent service by staff. Like the layout of the restaurant. My go to place from now on when I am visiting the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has functionally become my second home. My husband and I are both from the bay area and this is the perfect spot central to all of the grandparents. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The service is excellent. By far, my favorite thing about this hotel is that it has an amazing gym with everything you could possible want. The kids world, made my children want to move to Walnut Creek, they loved it and want to know when we are coming back!. Cant say enough about this place, we love it!
4.5 Okay
Cons: Online it showed pool cabanas with tv’s. We planned on watching the NBA playoffs poolside. But they weren’t even open until 2nd week of May. Both elevators kept breaking so when we had the only option of using the stairs it led us to a doorway that opened up on the other side of the building to the street. We had to walk all the way around in our swim suits. The website also said Saturday’s they had a special in the cafe that was a Bloody Mary with a burger which was also in the menu that was handed to us when we sat down. When we asked to order it they said that that promotion isn’t going on anymore on Saturdays. We were very misled. We live locally and just wanted to have a staycation close to home for a night. Huge waste of money. Never staying here again.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: with club sport connection - good facilities for excercise/relaxation clean, well-tended facility
Cons: only valet parking - or try to find something out on the street and walk...

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms for a family. Nice accommodations. My kids love the breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gym and breakfast was the best. It was also great to be so close to dinning and the freeway.
Cons: Maid service never came. Was a little disappointing.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and an extra blanket provided. Everything I used in the kitchen and living areas worked well, and the room was efficiently designed. The front desk staff was extremely pleasant, the made-to-order omelets were very good. I liked the close proximity to eateries and easy freeway access. Ample parking. Key card readers at all exterior doors worked well (not always the case, so happy to see).
Cons: My room had an extremely noisy bathroom fan and the shower did not drain properly, so I would stand in 3 inches of water at the end. There was no ice when I got in, so I turned on the ice-maker, which was very loud the first night. The noise from the adjacent rooms shower was a very high pitched squeal (they showered at 5am).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious. Liked the full kitchen, it's very helpful when traveling with children. Very quiet and relaxing at night, complimentary breakfast was great, convenient location with shops, theaters and restaurants within walking distance. The room was spot clean, overall a great experience.
Cons: The shampoo and conditioner didn't work for me and it would have been nice to see a little more color in the room(my personal preference).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was fantastic. We paid a little over $100 and we were put in a room with a nice chaise lounge, a comfortable King bed, and (to our surprise) a kitchenette larger than the one in my first apartment! It comes stocked with all of the dishes, utensils, pots and pans you need to cook full meals! The staff was helpful, and they had no problem accommodating my request for no down pillows (I'm allergic). Overall, it was a fantastic stay at what felt like a luxurious hotel. We will be looking to stay here again when we come back to San Francisco.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious, good food at the bar, great happy hour and breakfast was really good too. All staff were friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable and good location.

5.4 Okay
Pros: staff is very nice.
Cons: First, had to move rooms, heat not working in the first. Second room, some TV channels not working. The place is newly renovated but the work is marginal in places, for example, in my room the composite floor planks (no carpet) had gaps to the subfloor. Been at this hotel a number of times, not sure its the same.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Gym
Cons: Price of breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was outstanding
Cons: The rooms could use updating
6.5 Good
Pros: Hardwood floors, bath amenities
Cons: noisy room, clicking sound all night, I was in a room located behind the elevators so I heard them running THE ENTIRE NIGHT. Updated hotel but I doubt I'd stay there again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is in a great area and has nice rooms.
Cons: Check in is at 3pm. I showed up after 4pm and my room was still not ready. The next morning I ate breakfast went back to my room and somehow I was checked out of my room. It was inconvenient since I had to be at the airport at 10am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love staying at the Walnut Creek Marriott! Every time I stay there the staff shows the most gracious hospitality. I always feel like I'm visiting friends every time I'm there. I am very particular about the hotels I stay in, and this is by far my favorite one. My room is always clean, and the area is always quiet. I can't think of a problem I've had that the Marriott staff resolved without issue because I've never had a problem with any of my reservations, room service orders, or special accommodations. Oh! I can remember that my most recent stay was the result of an unfortunate situation, and the staff gave me a complimentary $10 credit for a drink at the bar. I know it's small, but the gesture was nice; they acknowledged how upset I was and made an effort to brighten my day... that drink definitely helped! They new I needed it hahaha In any case, Walnut Creek Marriott is and will always be my first choice.
Cons: N/A
6.0 Good
Pros: Good location to freeway. Decent rooms. A bit overpriced for what you get, but in range for the area.
Cons: Valet parking only @ $21 for one night. What they didn't make obvious is that there is free parking nearby.

5.4 Okay
Cons: HVAC temp control was only providing heat to maintain an 80+ degree room.In the "off" position, unit was still producing heat.Quite uncomfortable. Informed the front desk. Took 2 days to investigate, but nothing was repaired.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Courteous staff. Ice machines. Dining area.
Cons: Would have liked a small refrigerator in room. Would have liked free snack, fruit and yogurt with coffee in the morning. Would have liked block out curtains between the exercise area and the bar/entry area. Would have liked exercise bikes facing out, so that athlete doesn't have to face wall, having people watch her backside bounce on the treadmill.
7.4 Good
Pros: Clean with friendly staff easy walking distance for myself which is hard being disabled.
Cons: So close to the freeway our view was of traffic all day n night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean Super comfy bed Great staff Very close to fwy Very modern
Cons: Room was a bit small
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly Nice bar Very clean
Cons: No fridge in standard room No usb outlets Very hard, lumpy uncomfortable bed No separate recycling bins in room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What did you like? You were one of the only hotels with an indoor pool in the area. We booked two rooms next to each other for our family and a group of teen-age friends. With the door open the rooms felt like one contiguous room; it was easy to go back and forth. The outside patio was very nice and no one else was using it. The front desk staff were very nice. We liked the lobby; it had several areas, including a fireplace that felt homey. The housekeepers were very courteous.
Cons: What didn't you like? No negatives.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: comfortable bed. Great shower and bathroom. clean. The front desk people were very pleasant.
Cons: Only one sink. no refrigerator. for two nights our phone didn't work and after 2 calls they brought a new one that did work. The cheapened it up a bit. No longer have a free breakfast like they did a year or two ago. Bunch of noisy teenagers with a ball team on Saturday night. Not as good as when we stayed a year ago. Breakfast with eggs was $14--no thanks. Still a decent place but not 5 star

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Muir Lodge Motel in Martinez, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord and California Grand Casino. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.5 Good
Pros: Updated furnishings inside the room (queen bed, microwave and frig, Jacuzzi bathtub) with exception of two old, worn arm chairs. very good bathroom facilities.
Cons: No noise insulation, small, tight parking lot, other guests warming up their diesel pickups for 15 minutes at 5:30 am. No complimentary breakfast. Inconsistent maid service. No cable TV guide in room.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfortable, all the furnishings and fixtures, including the bathroom, were gorgeous and almost brand new, much better than I ever expected from a small highway-side drive-up motel.
Cons: Walls are a bit thin, you can hear traffic and neighbors when they keep their TV on all night. A bit pricy, but probably not above average for the location.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everybody was very polite and made us feel welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a pleasant stay.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very patient with us sorting out the various family names, who got what rooms that multiple bookings thru hotels.com caused.
Cons: Key card glitches. Seemed like every time we left our rooms someone's key cards weren't working when we returned. Also, rooms could use a little updating, starting to look a little worn.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were thoroughly pleased with our stay. From the breakfast and lovely grounds, to the extra friendly staff, our time there was very enjoyable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great prices, clean, excellent buffett breakfast, good location, and parking garage! Loved our stay!
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location is convenient.
Cons: Check-in staff has as much personality as a cardboard box. Hotel isn't super clean and lighting fairly dismal.
6.2 Good
Pros: To be fair I'm a Marriott person and the Walnut Creek Marriott was full. This hotel isn't bad at all, it's just not the Marriott! ; ). Clean and kept, just if you are a light sleeper, make sure you don't get a room facing the freeway.
7.1 Good
Pros: extensive breakfast, plenty of food friendly staff afternoon cookies, a nice touch free parking, a real plus room clean except for carpet near bed :((( the building is a little 'old'
Cons: see comments on other side
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: The lobby obviously had been renovated. The breakfast was a cut above for that kind of establishment.
Cons: When checking in I was told that I wouldn't get any IHG Rewards points for my stay. Apparently, if the reservation is made through Hotels.com, there are no rewards points given to the guest--the very person who is paying the bill and to whom the points should be given! I don't care through whom I book a hotel room; I don't even think about it. Hotel rooms are booked through some sort of intermediary all the time. That's how the hotels fill their rooms: they use booking agents to get their rooms in front of the biggest audience of potential customers--duh! The most irksome thing about this is I purposely chose the Holiday Inn Express OUT OF LOYALTY. Why would I ever chose an IHG property again when they don't count every stay I make, every dollar I give them?
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Diablo Mountain Inn - Walnut Creek, you'll be centrally located in Walnut Creek, within a 15-minute drive of Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord and University of California, Berkeley. Featured amenities include express check-out and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.1 Okay
Pros: The location Met my needs.
Cons: Small, noisiest motel, might have had flees and lousy TV with cramped screen images.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious, upgraded, clean and in good condition. Bed was comfortable. Included some kind of breakfast, but we got items from nearby Trader Joe's and used the in-room refrigerator and microwave. Great location within walking distance to Walnut Creek restaurants and shops. Easy access to freeway. Friendly staff.
Cons: Although the bathroom window faced a building wall, and was somewhat frosted, you could still see through it. Would have been nice to have a drape to close in case anyone walked behind the building.

The hotel provides a full business center including AV equipment, meeting rooms, mail services, printing services, and even a notary public.
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Hilton nickeled and dimed you. Everything cost money. The charge that really angered me was the $19/day parking fee. The hotel is in Concord - not San Francisco. Charging for parking is absurd!! Also, I was disappointed in the hospitality. I would at least think there would be coffee offered to guests in the hotel lobby in the morning. But there wasn’t. The coffee in the room was mediocre. Overall very disappointed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the rooms are nice
Cons: that the parking cost $15.00 per night
4.6 Okay
Pros: Beautiful view from the 10th story of the Oakland hills
Cons: First night we arrived to an open bottle of almost empty wine in the warm fridge which caused the room and fridge a near permanent odor. The a/c durino our stay seemed to only work 70% of the time. 2nd day the shower was draining so slow that the water reached your calves and it took to days to be fixed. The door to the bath room was near to falling off its hinges. The fact it cost more than the much better crown plaza hotel and paying 15$ to self park. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, I'd suggest the crown plaza down the street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything apart from parking
Cons: $18 to park is kinda ridiculous when your already a paying guest staying at their hotel. Basically s back handed way to make their room rates look cheaper. They reduce the room rate by 20 bucks and then add a $20 parking fee.....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We wound up here by accident--my mom was very ill and having emergency surgery, our train was delayed...I am disabled, in a wheelchair, was exhausted and traveling with my even more exhausted 7 year-old. We arrived to the friendliest, most patient staff ever...there was no rushing us and they simply helped us get to our room and rest. They were courteous and genuinely helpful at a time when my tank was well beyond empty. It was a wonderful place to recharge during a very difficult time! Very high marks to the staff!!! The rooms were also immaculate and extremely comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pros : Animal friendly while still being upscale they provide water and food bola and a pet bed Breakfast in bed Super accommodating Very friendly staff Pool and jacuzzi
Cons: mini fridge didn't work so well (we brought a cooler though) No air circulation in rooms. VERY STAGNANT. But it's a hotel so I didn't really expect to be able to open windows or anything, just a general pet peeve of mine
4.0 Okay
Cons: We reserved a king room; we were given two doubles... "All sold out."
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I arrived at 2ish, was really hungry, and went straight to grab a drink and bite from the restaurant. It was nice to know it was open. After such a long drive, was not in the mood to get back into my car after checking in to go look for an outside restaurant. And especially, the room was ready didn't have to wait til 3pm. Thank you
Cons: 2 things I didn't like.... 1. Once I got into the room wanted to relax before heading out to a business dinner. I believe there was a basketball tournament. I can hear the kids out in the hallway being loud. 2. I think your prices at the restaurant are a little too pricey.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I do not plan to use Hilton if I can avoid it in the future.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice and clean.
Cons: Staff was a little rude, and didn't really want to help us out. Also the additional $50 a night for insurance no one told us about. And they charge you $18 a night for parking whether you park there or not. The food wasn't the best, I've had better food at a complimentary breakfast buffet. Definitely not $17 worth. The people in the room next to us were smoking weed and the entire hallway reeked. For what you pay, I expected more from Hilton.

Cons: Pool was closed for renovation which we did not know until arrival. Parking is either paid valet or paid nearby lot.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Pool and hot tub were closed. This was not disclosed online. Would've chosen a different hotel. Had to wait 20 minutes to drive on to the property because of backup at valet.
7.7 Good
Pros: Nice room nice staff
Cons: I was quoted a rate of $189 for tow rooms--I confirmed the rate when I checked in --When I checked out the first night was 189 but the next three were $193 --I know its only a $24 difference but it's the sort of experience that sticks with you --
10.0 Excellent
Cons: No complaints. They upgraded us for free because my wife was having a baby the next day. Very nice place and highly recommended. Trust me, my wife and I are particular for paying out hard-earned money for a hotel. Well worth it!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A young man named Daniel working in the food area was very helpful, friendly, and conscience of doing a good job. We appreciated his help.
Cons: Check in was a bit slow.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the breakfast, the fact that there was two separate rooms with a pull out coach was amazing too. Really pretty pond through out the hotel.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff were friendly.
Cons: Noise of adjacent rooms. Was like a party. Early morning checkout through a security window made me feel unsafe. A checked in guest needing to checkout should be able to access the front lobby.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff
Cons: Everything except staff. So so bad. Picture of exploding plumbing fixtures in disgusting bathtub in gross room with construction debris in room with torture board bedding.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Large room. Cheap rate.
Cons: Poorly maintained. Plumbing is atrocious. Bed is cheap and uncomfortable. Old, courtyard style can't compete with modern facilities, including low price alternatives.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Clean inside and out. Felt safe for our family, good area. Comfortable beds. Free wifi. Yummy breakfast. Courteous staff. Quiet stay.
Cons: Was not expecting it to be 10-15 min away from the freeway. However, this was minor once we got to the hotel and realized it was a nice place to stay.

Pros: Good location, good price
Cons: Parties going on each night at the hotel. Loud music, I mean really loud. Police came to take away one party attender. Didn't feel that safe even though security was on site.
6.8 Good
Pros: The beds were comfortable and linens were clean as well as the facilities.
Cons: However the swimming pool was out of commission for some unknown reason, in spite of it looking quite inviting, but it was closed. The plumbing needs attention, lines were reversed and no drain plug for the sink.

4.8 Okay
Pros: It was overall good
Cons: I had not one but three bad run ins with Maria. She was just rude and made us feel like we were a bother. We had a question about the rewards program and she said she would have the other lady at the desk help us later what that doesn't make since your not doing anything, so we just left we didn't even stay the last two days at the hotel. Oh the house keeper was awesome
6.2 Good
Pros: Beds were super comfy.
Cons: Employees overall weren't very friendly. The guy who checked me in at 1 am was friendly. Others when I went to the desk to ask a question they didn't look up and greet me unless I started speaking to them. I work in the hospitality industry and this is not the way to treat guests who you want to return or give good reviews.

Pros: Filthy, old, worn out and run down!!

9.1 Excellent
Pros: Location,restaurant and room.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The room was large, clean, and bed comfy. Just what we wanted. Check in was a breeze, and the indoor pool was lovely.
Cons: There was no blow dryer in the room, just a minor thing. And also no towels are available at the pool so bring some from your room! The biggest problem we had was at around midnight someone jiggled our door handle and tried to come in. I looked out the peep hole and saw a staff member walking around looking confused. our phone has just rung minutes before that happened, waking us both. Also, we had our do not disturb sign up but the maids still knocked and tried to enter early in the morning.
6.0 Good
Pros: Manager's reception Tuesday nights. If you have considerate (quiet) neighbors on both sides and above you, and you don't want to sleep in, this hotel is fine.
Cons: Thin walls and ceilings. Old carpet. Did not get room I requested. Food at the bar is average at best. Housekeeping started knocking on the door at 8:15am.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent bed, television, cable tv selection, fast and consistent wifi, pool and hot tub. Trader Joes across the street to stock the in room fridge.
Cons: Inexperienced restraunt staff, across the board.

Pros: Rooms have been updated sometime in the last few years, it appeared. My room was reasonably comfortable and included both a mini-refrigerator and a microwave.
Cons: The price of my room was very high for this grade of motel. Some items showed signs of wear, although overall the room seemed reasonably well-maintained.
