My husband and I loved our stay and the staff were awesome. We were well looked after and made to feel at home.We had dinner on Saturday night and the food was devine,we think your hotel is great and we hope to come back again in the near future.
Lovely place for a break away. Nice facilities. Servicing of rooms poor
View and location Outdoor corridors to get to rooms and restaurant
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food at the restaurant and in room service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
I was there for one night for business and found the hotel to have everything that I needed. Fast Broadband in the room (costs extra but not too expensive) The room was comfortable, the evening meal at the pavilion restaurant was excellent. The pool and spa were lovely too. It is quite far from Taupo and with a name like bayview I expected it to be much closer to the lake.
We had an absolutely fabulous stay. We went with a young family with 3 children and found the hotel and staff child friendly without affecting the adult comfort and enjoyment. My daughter and her husband were able to have a wonderful romantic dinner. There was something for everyone. We have travelled all over the world and this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The water in the pool was a little too hot on two of the days.
Proximity to Taupo attractions and golf course
We enjoyed relaxing in the hotel's geothermally heated swimming pool after the drive from Wellington. Given the new Taupo by-pass the hotel's location is even more accessible than previously. The hotel's services and facilities (always reliable) were even better this year than in previous years. I have nothing to offer as criticism.
enjoyed being in the country, close to the mountain bike riding. Having everything we required on site:- The restaurants, pools, gym. The only thing was our room was on the colder side of the complex, and we looked out on the maintenance complex.
The location is great . The hot pools are the best feature .They are always clean and a pleasure to use The secound resturant wasn't open
We stayed in 631 (i think this is the #), which I undertand is a newer part of the hotel and the room was great, nice and new and clean. It was further from Taupo than I imagined but w had a car so wasn't a problem.
The location was good and the room was well presented. Bed was very comfortable as was the seating Hard to find parking close to our room, Room could have had more information on inhouse services.
My husband and I both enjoyed the restaurant, lovely food, good wine list and great staff. The pool was not heated and the spa was not under cover.
Location is good, but not handy for luggage service
The food and the service in the restaurant was excellent. Room servicing was fine, if a litle late in the day. Nothing serious but the bar service was average only.
Location great Rooms too small - shower over bath, no simple kitchen facilities, like a toaster or plate to have cereal breakfast/
Lovely view of lake and welcoming swimming pool and hot tub. Good breakfast buffet. Room little on the small side.
Great staff in the bar and restaurant Not enough light in the bathroom - particularly over the mirrror.
clean and comfortable, colse to most activities.
The view from the bar and the dining room. Also the decor of the room.
Great cozy lodge! The help desk was really helpful! Breakfast in the hotel was really expensive, you can go down the block to Mickey d's or burger king.
nothing room too small,no air con,small bed,noisy,outdated
Owner was very friendly and helpful. Updated rooms nice and well appointed. Free Wi-Fi, French Press coffee, fruit and cookies. Free use washer/dryer BYO soap. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and right across the street from the lake. Walls are a bit thin so sounds from adjacent rooms can be heard. Other guests seemed respectful about noise.
View across the lake, friendliness of staff Burnt pudding really let the good standard of food down - what a shame!
The whole place looks pretty impresive. The private spa was a bit tacky and unclean. We like to be able to walk easily to the local town, Lakeland Resort is not convenient for this.
It was handy to the city,Thermal spa pools and lake. Accommodation was comfortable and meals & breakfast was excellent The hot water cylinder was noisy!
Hospitality of the owner and his local knowedge of tourist attractions and activities
very relax at spa na
Quiet, especially seeing it was on a busy road. Relaxing spa pool The only thing was my booking had not been received by the hotel. I had given my credit card number and they had no record of it.
Central, good price, good amenities.
Spacious room, with a fully-equipped kitchen. Cooked breakfasts available for request. Reasonable price. The motel is located about .25hr walk from Taupo's beach and .5hr from downtown Taupo. Wifi internet connection available, with a reasonable pre-pay plans (e.g., 50 NZD for a week), but rather slow.
The staff there was extremely friendly and helpful. The room is clean. The bathroom is too tiny. The spa area is a bit too old.
The beds were very good and the staff member was very helpful The room was dirty, the spa was cracked and broken, all the windows had not been cleaned and a long time. for the price we paid it was not worth it. for 8 dollars more we found a better hotel across the street which was great (oasis resort) i would higly recomend!!
The management staff were very obliging and friendly, ensuring that as a group we were able to enjoy our stay by providing the use of extra space to socilaise in. The facilities were very acceptable and comfortable. Loved hearing the Tui's residing in the trees nearby.
The natural spring water spa was excellent and the beds were very comfortable I didnt like the state of the room. I walked in there and there were ciggerite buts around the place, there were small stains on the bed linen and there was rubbish behind the bedside table
location, the spa and the room was ok. experenice, scenery etc it said you could buy items at the main desk. i wanted toothpaste none there and went to mobil none there either.
lake view and ducks coming to be fed no vegan food options in restaurant/room service
The NZ art on the walls of the hotel. The heated pool. The comfortable lounge room and chairs/fire where we could sit for hours reading our books - alone with a bake and brew. The lakeside frontage and access. The friendly and perfectly-pitched staff. We were upgraded to room with spa bath - nice. TV in room small and without good reception. Option to play music - e.g. CDs - would be wonderful.
Hotel clean friendly and well appointed, close to town with brillant views. Restraun tstaff excellent
I enjoyed the setting being right on the lake, it was awesome watching the sunset at the loverly restaurant. We found the bed to be very hard as well as the pillows
Reef Resort is my fav place to stay in Taupo.Amazing view. Devine rooms. Pool is great. Keren and Bryan are lovely.
the resort staff were very friendly and helpful - the free bike usage - the view was great - the pool was fabulous was traveling with 2 older children and we got the pull out couch for our bed - was very uncomfortable.
The management is personable and quite helpful. Housekeeping misses a few details, but nothing that would seriously affect the experience.
Location. Check in service. their was no information about anything about hotel, Tapou etc. No welcome greeting from the reception staff on duty.
