The location was great. Could walk downtown or to the hot springs.
Unfortunately this is a “where to start” We tried to pay for the room, almost $80, with a $100 bill, the gentleman checking us in was nice, but couldn’t give us change so we ended up having to pay with a card. Annoying (because we had cash set aside for travels) but it was what it was. The room ended up being incredibly outdated with stains ALL over the boxspring, dirty shower curtain and our front door hardly shut. Checkout was 10am SHARP (warnings were posted several times in the room) and said if you left anytime after that you’d be charged another night stay. That’s a little overkill we felt and 10am seemed way early for checkout, even 11am is normal! We wanted to leave our car in the parking lot in the morning to walk and grab breakfast, but no one was on site to make sure that was okay so we didn’t dare due to them possibly charging us for checking out late. We stopped by the Safari Club for a beer later at the Days Inn (really close by) and the room was only $20 more a night with A LOT more to offer. I hate to say it but going with the locally run hotel didn’t pan out this time and we were really disappointed with our room costing so much for so little.
Tv and WiFi limited. Pillows way too hard.
staff was great, but this place is old and needs refurbished badly. they make do with what they have, and it was clean. it was the most expensive motel on our 4 day trip, but easily the least desirable. Granted, Thermopolis is an expensive town, and all the motels were priced higher than the other towns we visited, but we sure didn't feel like we got our money's worth. btw.. a swamp cooler is not a "western air conditioner", and keeping a window open for air flow seemed a bit risky for that neighborhood.
Location, that's its.
Very rude manager. When we checked in his mother was very helpful with info. about the town. Then a couple hours later ( the manager) he, sends his mother (the nice lady who checked us in) to tell us we only booked a single queen room and she gave us a double not to use the other bed or we would be charged extra. The swamp cooler of air conditioning blew so hard you had to open a window for air to escape. The pictures on booking. Com must of been taken years ago. If your looking for a place to stay and drive up to this place you will not stop to stay there.
Although advertised there was no WiFi. Bad smells, exposed wires. Weird air conditioning.
