The staff were very helpful and friendly, they went above and beyond to help me out, making phone calls on my behalf. My deluxe dorm was comfortable and quiet and the hostel is well located and a great place to meet other travellers.
The cleanliness of the common areas and facilities and comfort of the sleeping areas were great! Loved the relaxed, modern atmosphere -it was a nice place to start the day and a nice place to come back to to help wind down from a busy day of exploring.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The coffee in their cafe is delicious, and free breakfast was simple but good (eggs and toast!). I like that the capsule hotel-style bunks allow for more space and privacy than a typical hostel.
They use a keypunch lock for getting in an out of the room, and every time someone keys in the 6-number code, every touch sound like someone is trying to break into the room. With up to 20 people in one room, it seemed like someone was constantly banging on that thing to come in. Even just a quick trip to the toilet, you have to use that keypunch to get back in. Very noisy. Also, the bottom-bunk capsules don't have any ventilation in them, so if you want to feel the A/C, you need to leave the curtain open, but that means no privacy. So, you make your choice.
Location and staff kindness.
Bathrooms were dirty. They need to mope the floor more often. Beds too.
Really loved the location, comfortable vibe and great rooms!... I have stayed here twice already and the opportunity came up for me to book a third time at Kaisu.. On this recent trip, I had to cancel a reservation and saw that Kaisu had a vacancy, so I rebooked here with my friend, girls dorm.. Really spacious, private and quiet... The bed is really comfy.. Just love it here at Kaisu and will definitely come back again.. Akasaka is my fav neighbourhood to stay in while in Tokyo!
Everything was fine, nothing to change.. Kaisu is a great place to stay...
