The breakfast selection was excellent. The staff were quite helpful and friendly, check in and out was quick and painless. Room was comfortable. Conveniently located and easy to find, good place to explore the Keys from. No complaints other than the pool could have been a little warmer.
It was clean and the staff was very helpful Everything was ok
Front desk staff friendly, room nice and clean, breakfast very good, location close to restaurants. I would stay here again.
Very clean inside and out. All staff was nice and friendly. Had a great breakfast.
The ambiance was very appealing The shower head didn't allow all settings
We had a great experience. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Definitely would recommend it to anyone. We will stay there again.
The breakfast was really good with many choices.
Staff was nice Breakfast was good Lobby was clean Ants in the room all over Dirty room Over priced Terrible cable TV service Shower didn't drain well
Big, comfortable room. Very nice staff, always greeted us when we passed. Restaurant referral was right on. Clean in all areas. Had to ask for washcloths and hand towels on arrival and they weren't replaced when the room was cleaned. Cleaning staff didn't speak or understand English so it complicated getting the washcloths and hand towels. Breakfast was typical in hotels.
Price, very good for area, had pool, room clean and comfortable. Breakfast one of best we have seen in a while for a continental style.Good location. Need more like this in other areas of Florida, like key west, Orlando, st augustine, Clearwater,
Just staied here a week ago and it was our second time. The hotel is not new, it is laid out more as a motel than an hotel and the outdoors corredors are still from initial build and look old. BUT the loby and rooms seem to have been upgrated with taste and are super confortable. We will stay here every time we are heading to The Everglades or The Keys. Outdoor corredors accessing rooms look a bit run down and AC units leak condensation water into the corredor.
Good location not too far off motorway, lots of restaurants and stores to visit. Breakfast better than expected By my definition this is not a hotel it's a motel, and they are charging hotel prices.
Excellent location for business people in homestead. Free but very slow internet, almost unuseful.
Only negative was the ducks. I wanted to eat breakfast on the patio and the ducks were too aggressive to be comfortable.
Clean and convenient to the freeway
I was pleased with my two night stay. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast is served from 0600 to 1000 and it is great. The hotel is at a great location, situated near the Turnpike and close to several nearby restaurants. Hospital down the road. Modern interior, the pool is nice and clean. Price was reasonable. Nothing.
The room was spotless and decorated very nicely. Everything was clean and the hotel staff was very nice. The beds, they are TERRIBLE! They are extremely stiff with no give, they need some kind of matress topper to make them even bearable.
Price The toilet broke, and we called the desk to get it fixed the first night. 3 days of the stay later, toilet was still Broken. alao one of the beds was wrapped in plastic and the front desk advised not to remove it.
Room was clean and comfortable, location very good. I felt at ease in area.
The breakfast was open till 10am. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. It was nice that there was a BBQ area with picnic table. Had trouble with the room keys and the lock looked partially broken.
Affordable, great location, staff was very helpful Wouldn't want to leave hotel- bad area
It was a okay place to stop over for the nite, clean but old. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast.
Clean and comfortable beds. Tile instead of carpet. Nice bedding Air conditioning barely worked, since I checked in late at night at 11pm, I really didn't want to have a maintenance man check in that late but since there were very few rooms left, they would not move us. After midnight, the maintenance man was unable to fix it so he talked with the front desk. After about 20 minutes of waiting I called the front desk myself and they moved us and the AC worked great in that room and had a peaceful night sleep finally!
most of it. I would like to take the opportunity to give thanks to all the personnel at the front desk. nothing.
Best hotel for a visit to the Everglades
It was OK for the price we payed. Much bigger place then we expected, looked like it was well organized. Clean for the most part, if you don't count ants, spiders and other assorted bugs in the shower. Ants we tried to disregard, spiders we left hoping they will hunt & eat some of the bugs, and the rest we flushed down the drain, numerous times. Very small kitchen area. Internet spotty and often forcing you to re-login (staff blamed this on internet provider). Were locked out at the end of day one (best guess - we were given keys coded for one day only, staff doesn't admit any wrongdoing, blamed problem on batteries inside the door lock .. not convinced). Bugs, lots of them (blame it on Florida?). I manged to forget my jacket in the room while checking out and packing, staff never found it (so they say), and after numerous calls just forgot to call back and confirm it was not found (nothing of great material value was lost, but it sure hurt to lose something and have hotel staff be so blatantly uninterested to help)
The accommodations were very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. All of the people that I observed took a great deal of pride in their jobs. Obviously someone has created a wonderful workplace culture. Not a thing!
Clean newly decorated rooms Breakfast was "ok" but free and they did have hot items as well
Close to eating places Reception staff were helpful. When you open the curtain for light there, anyone walking past can see into your room. Sheer curtain would help
Staff was nice. Continental breakfast was decent. Quiet at night. Not immaculate, but clean enough. Walking distance to food/convenience store/coffee. Didn't have hot water right away but was fixed after a call to main office. Wi-fi didn't work well.
Great staff, so helpful, the grounds. Styrofoam everything. Please switch to paper!
Breakfast, location Very old property, beds poor
The room was thoroughly cleaned, the pool was fun for my kids, it was a perfect location before heading into the Keys for the day. Breakfast was really good and there was even a covered patio to eat outside. Plus they had discounts at local restaurants for anyone staying there - bonus! There was a plunger in the corner of the bathroom - we didn't need it but it wasn't a good sign and not a good thing to have accessible to my little kids.
Super clean and well maintained. Great staff.
Quiet, clean, comfortable; very close to US-1 and the Florida Turnpike. Close to several restaurants. Staff is very friendly. No complaints.
Breakfast was a nice treat. Very good selection and tasted good. Noisey neighbors in and out, kept shoes on entire time.
Scary environment. Not even enough lights at night, pretty dark even to walk into your room. No staff on the site during the night. No A/C in the rooms, no phone in the rooms either. Right on a busy street and windows are not sound proof. Noisy as hell. Staff is friendly, but they all go home at night. Many better AND cheaper hotels nearby. HUGE mistake of booking this hotel.
Nicely located from key west, Everglades and restaurants
Found a dirty q-tip on the floor; tells me they didn't clean well...vacuum would pick that up...
Location and Price, nice building
Everything. This will always be the place we stay in Homestead. Nothing.
Staff was nice and accomodating, had excellent ideas for local excusrions Had to wait until 4 pm to check in. That and they had difficulty getting the rooms clean for other guests from discussions of guests in the lobby who had been there a few days.
Everything was good except whole reason I chose this hotel was the jacuzzi and it didn't work because was being painted. You should say it is if it wasnt. I called before booking and was told it was working. The fact the hot tub was shut down.
Pool and jacuzzi were clean. Rooms comfy but I am not a fan of little half sized pillows. Bed pillows were those half sized ones. Had a hard time getting to sleep.
Very clean, excellent value, good breakfast
Rooms were nice, clean, well taken care of. The facility was nice, the breakfast was also good. High crime rate area, the tailgate was stolen off the back of my truck. The front desk didn't do anything about it or claim responsibility for it.
Super friendly staff, delicious breakfast with nice food options, beautiful pool area, amazing house keeping! The drive to the Keys everyday was a little bit cumbersome with holiday weekend traffic but it was worth the money we saved by staying here!
Very clean room with comfortable bed, and good a/c, nice and clean bathroom, convenient mini fridge and microwave. I needed to get some rest and peace of mind, and I was glad to have chosen to stay here. Other places I have stayed at nearby were not this clean and reassuring. If I ever need to stay in the area again, I will stay here. I will probably use a different booking company which was the only problem I encountered, but it is not related to the hotel itself, as they were patient and helpful in dealing with that issue with me. I had a puzzling experience in relation to the booking company, in that my payment to the online booking company went through, but their payment to the hotel did not. Never happened to me with any other online hotel booking company before--very odd. But as I said above, that's not the hotel's fault. The hotel staff were patient in explaining it to me, and professional about dealing with it.
No wi-fi, no hot water, no working phone in room...
The pool Bed bugs
The Days Inn Homestead was gross, We booked a King size room and had to switch rooms because the AC sounded like a helicopter was about to take off. We switched to room 159 which was a 2 double full beds. We could not sleep together since we are both over 6 feet, so we experienced a sleep alone nights. We also noticed the shower heads were different the interiors were put together like someone went to goodwill and collected pieces of different things. There was a dead roach residue on the right wall in the so called bathroom. The Shower/Toilet room itself was disgusting I went to walgreens and got tilex bleach to clean it myself before I got in he shower. Toilet had feces residue on the walls of the bowl. We were on the first floor in the front of the hotel parking lot and the curtains had a big gap with the mirror placed so that anyone from outside could see who was sleeping in the room. Overall my stay at the Days Inn Homestead was horrible. We couldn't stay anywhere else because everything in town was booked within our price range. I thought Days Inn had a standard. I wasn't looking for the Hampton or Marriott but a Days Inn like one I have stayed at before. This was not it, this didn't even come up to a motel standard. I will not be staying at any Days Inn hotel ever again. This ruined my weekend and as you can see we checked out around 5:30 am on Sunday Feb 7th and drove back home to take showers in a clean facility.
The bed was comfortable and the inside of room did look nice. The cleanness. The bed was half way made, bags of trash was left in bathroom along with dirty towels.
Overall a good value, and a good launch point before you drive to the Keys.
it was a great spot we were on the way to the keys.
The room was very tidy and the staff was very friendly. It's a perfect stop. The hallways could use some redecorating if you care about that kind of thing. the doors are a little loud out of the hallways. But it is overall good.
Had all the amenities and was hundreds less than hotels on the Florida Keys
Pretty clean, nice room Standard (low) Definition TV picture on device capable ofddust aging HDTV. Apparently motels are motivated to buy low definition programming yet equip rooms with Flat Panel HDTVs. Counterintuitive, dissapointing
Great price, the rooms were clean compared to others in the area, has a pool, easy access to road and turnpike.
The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was big, clean and we loved the fact we had a mini refrigerator n a microwave on the room. The location was perfect, we had gas stations, restaurants and main streets right next to us. We did go around looking for an elevator that we never found. That was the only thing missing.
The location was nice and quiet. A lot of opportunities to eat and shop in the area. The room had microwave, refrigerator and a stove. Strange policy about changing the towels. If you want daily change you have to pay extra.
Walked in and was super cleaned loved it nice n roomy i love the privacy n security as well
A place to sleep from never before being homeless, and evicted from another apartment because of another unknown individuals poor or no credit, never having any money to do anything, there is a criminal background check to go to school for 2-4 years. nothing
Location for sightseeing You had to buy ustensils to cook .
The room was clean. Best place if you plan to stay longer. I stayed here for 3 days. There was no room service for 3 days. we have to empty our trash.
I stayed there for two nights while being a tourist in the Keys, it's only an hours drive to Islamorada, and early in the morning there was little traffic so it wasn't so bad, so this motel was good hub. The motel was very clean. New furniture and new TV in the room. Shower was very good. The bed provided good sleeping conditions and was comfortable. Internet was good, mostly fast but sometimes the speed fell down in the evenings (I guess that the reason is that quite a lot of the guests were on the internet at the same time ), but sufficient I thought for basic browsing. Staff was helpful and good, though I only interacted with them at check in but they did explain everything very well and gave me a list of nearby restaurants they recommended. All in all it was a nice motel and what you expect for a motel. It was great to have a fridge in the room as it was very hot and humid. Would stay there again as it was a good motel and really good price. Recommended. My only thing to complain about is that there was an little odor of old room smell but nothing great but just a little bit. I suppose on hot and humid days it might arise, but one is close to the tropics in South Florida.
Clean, friendly staff, great value! No complaints.
Much improved from previous stays. Breakfast area expanded. Rooms clean. This is a good, reasonably priced motel for visits to Everglades, Upper Keys.
Close to wherr I was conductin business and near shoping at nightPlease write at least 15 words The bed was hard

I was promised a room with WiFi which was not so. No WiFi connection availability. Also a microwave was promised and there was none. It did not provide what it said it would. Also it was quite filthy.
Quaint Noisy neighbors
The location Overpriced for a hotel of that caliber..should be a 1 star rating. Found hotels close by that was cheaper, cleaner, and better maintained.
Location AC went out during the night and would not turn on again.

Clean & parking lot was well lit at night. Older structure & small room, but you get what you pay for.

Dirty 20yr ripped carpet, rusted soap dish and faucets. Cost---- w/O tax for scary hotel. Door handle front door handle half ripped off. Internet didn't work manager didn't care. Paint peeling in bathroom. Alarm went off every hour. wanted refund noth
The staff were really nice and helpful....when I cancelled my reservation to go to a different hotel down the road. There were shady characters in the parking lots that were trying to look into different rooms, just loitering and smoking. We watched 2 guys try the door handles of at least 3 rooms (external corridor hotel) and keep moving down the row. We couldn't get a second floor room and I was uncomfortable being off the parking lot. The lobby was dirty and smelled musty. I have no idea what the room was like because I never got that far. Drive 10 minutes further and skip this place.
The parking was very good, the breakfast was great, the pool was very good too, the rooms were very clean and that was great. service at the desk was quick and the clerks were very nice , all in all I liked the hotel. There was not much to not like, maybe the computer system they had it was somewhat slow. and I think they need a paper machine, I like to have a newspaper when I get to a hotel ,other then that things were just fine for me and my son who were traveling to key west.
very good location for everglades and outlet shopping Not enough room for breakfast
Convenient to us1 on the way to Key West. Carpets were filthy, "hot breakfast" was cold, breakfast attendat was surly, maids didn't have a vacuum on their carts so it's anyones guess when the carpets were cleaned. Last morning they ran out of propane so there was no hot water.
close to Everglades Old. Not modern .
Great location for the Everglades, easy to find, friendly, efficient staff and a real good value deal with the breakfast
Big rooms, clean, normal breakfast nothing special but okay! I do not like plastik plates - but that is unfortunately normal in hotels of motels in the US.
Ease of access to the pool, free wifi, the receptionist was very helpful and freindly No
Comfortable and a relief after a long day of travel. Complimentary breakfast was more varied than I expected. Parking was scarce because many spaces are taken by large containers. Some parts of breakfast were simply bad.
breakfast was good aircondition in the lobby did not work
