Nice location and good staff.
Everything is perfect.
Comfortable bed and clean room with nice view. Restroom outside the room was no problem
No English, but it was not a problem as almost no English speakers at all Normandy)
The location is perfect, very friendly and nice staff and delicious breakfast! The building is not modern, but it matches the style of Trouville. We will definitely return there when we visit Trouville next time:)
Perfect location to the beach - you can come back and forth within minutes in case you forgot to take something with you .... we did not take breakfast however the lobby/breakfast room looked very cosy so maybe next time
Nothing to mention it served our needs very well
I came for a conference in a nearby Deauville - but by the time I was sure I was coming, and started looking for a place to stay, everything reasonably-priced was already gone there. So, I've decided to look for something in Trouville's'mer. That was a very good choice - unlike its tourist-oriented neighbour, Trouville is a real town - with its own character, local people (even through there is a lot of tourists as well), and a pleasant atmosphere. It is also very noticeably cheaper for all the daily necessities. As far as La Maison Normande is concerned, the property is a converted old house, charming and a little (but not too much) worn. Mu room was quite spacious by French standards, with a sizable and clean bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable. The was a small desk and a chair, so I was able to do some work in a reasonable comfort. The very narrow (about 50cm wide), long balcony opened onto the street in front, running for the entire length of the room. It can be accessed by going up couple of steps through one of the windows. The windows opened onto a small town square, used mostly as a parking lot; the ground sloped a bit up in front of the house, so that most of the room can be seen from the square at night. There wasn't too much traffic, so I kept both windows open during the night without being disturbed. The magnificent Trouville city beach is less than 5 minutes walk from the place. There are plenty of places to eat or have a drink in the immediate vicinity (but far enough so that there is no noise, which was nice).
There are only two available power outlets in the room, only one of which is within reach of the desk. There was no kettle in the room, so that making tea or coffee wasn't an option. There is no elevator, and the staircase is pretty narrow. This may be a problem for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. The breakfast starts too late to be of use if you come on business or want to go for a day trip.
With a stay at La Maison Normande in Trouville-sur-Mer, you'll be on the beach, within a 10-minute drive of Deauville Beach and Trouville Beach.
