Location close to downtown and nice park. Parking should be free.
We brought our dogs on this trip ... three large dogs. The staff didn't bat an eye and in fact came around the counter to pet our dogs and gave them each a treat.
Pillows and blankets were feathers. No water in the rooms. Need water bottles in the fridge.
Great spot. Fun walking to a couple bars and restaurants. Solid Hotel. I'll be Back. My breakfast Rocked!!
Bed. Size of room. Alarm at 12:03am. High cost of food. No wifi in room.
We had stayed for four nights during this period of time we had hosted our daughter's wedding reception in the discovery ballroom. Undoubtably the most impressive aspect was the incredible service from every Hilton representative. With our individual party the hotel also had the PTA, Fireman Convention, a motorcyle convention and another small wedding. Even with all of this going one we had felt like our celebration was the only one-impressive! The sound of the trains.
Excellent food. The beer selection could expand. The shuttle service had limited hours that did not work with my schedule and forced me into a costly alternative for airport pickup.
Super friendly staff; excellent restaurant and nice indoor pool area. Rooms are large and clean, decorated like a log cabin or a mountain lodge. Very good value for a low fee. The birdsong in the hallways is a little cheesy. The suburban industrial park area is not very attractive.
Loved the food and the bird sounds I'm the hallways! The staff was stellar! Sunday breakfast wad good but cold.
Great service, beautiful bar and dining was perfect with excellent prepared food!!!! There wasn't anything to dislike !!!!!!!!!!!!
They had great holiday decorations. Fabulous service. The accompanying restaurant was also great. Live piano and fireplaces for New Years. We would love to go back. Day after New Years bar / restaurant closed at 8pm! Wish they would have put up a warning sign.
We found the staff very friendly and the room clean and well maintained. We were able to bring our Grandchildren over and let them play in the indoor pool. They loved it. They did have an issue with a guest down the hall. The manager had to come up and ask them to leave. Not really a bad thing though as we saw they quickly took care of issues.
For a visit to Portland we chose this nearby hotel because we always like the idea of a suite and this seemed like a great fit. I had some hesitation later wondering if being in Vancouver was going to be a problem, but on the contrary found it a great location for our various jaunts around the area. This greatly improved my opinion of a Best Western (Plus) property. We received excellent service, the breakfast was well above average, the bed very comfortable, and the suite very roomy. For my money, and from my experience this was a great choice.
Good Breakfast. Clean rooms. Helpful staff.
I love the apartment feel! Full kitchens with full size fridge, real dishes and utensils. Stove top, dishwasher and FREE laundry facilities!!! Comfy beds and tons of movie channels! Nice, free breakfast each morning- Not just muffins and coffee; eggs, waffles, bacon, bagels, cereal, fruit, etc. This place is also VERY pet friendly!! There really isn't much that I didn't like.... the laundry facilities are great, however...I did notice that a couple of the dryers do not work very well. They don't heat up like they should. And there is always at least one washer or dryer that is out of order.
Nice accommodations. Super (and free) breakfast. Offers light supper (complimentary) Monday - Thursday evening, such as soup and salad and other special menus (one menu per night). Nice, accessible business center. Loved having full kitchen in-house. Great wireless Internet access in room. Spacious bathroom. Good fitness room and options. Also tennis court. Nice ambience in lobby. Great for business travelers who need to get work done. Adjacent to mall with major department stores and close to restaurants. Pool is outdoors only and probably available only during warm weather seasons.
Excellent comfort for the price and the staff was extremely friendly.
Nothing. At all because we were not allowed to stay Everything ..rude from the start told me we had too much trafic last time i stayed and was not allowed. To stay
Very convenient to shopping, good restaurants, & close to Portland.
did not like worst stay ever I sent it to the company Heat of room , booking and got wrong room , water in shower broke cold water only . breakfast was bod
Good breakfast, pleasant staff, very comfortable bed. Although we were on the freeway side there was no noise to speak of. Generally very quiet. The room had a fairly strong bleach smell, which dissipated somewhat over the 2 days we stayed. Perhaps they should cut back on its use in the laundry. It is located a fair drive from Portland.
The staff were friendly and the location within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We had booked a king suite, but at the last moment needed two queen beds. The staff was very accommodating. Though the outside of the hotel looked older, the room, lobby and interior were newly renovated and clean. Good value in a neighbourhood of other hotels and amenities. Continental breakfast was very good.
great room, excellent restaurant
There is no pool at this hotel. It's a good hotel but I certainly wouldn't categorize it as a 5 star. You'd expect better room equipments and facilities. I haven't ever seen a 5 star hotel with no pool. Also parking is very expensive. $47/night is very expensive especially for weekend and holiday stays. I recommend to park at street.
Friendliness and accomodation by the staff and overall luxury of facility not applicable
Pool & jacuzzi were clean in a spacious area. The beds were comfortable, and there were ample towels. Lots of noise early in the morning from the floor below, waking us very early. The bedside lamp buttons were so worn out that it took tremendous effort to depress the buttoms(we thought they were broken at first). VERY dim lighting in the bathroom, particularly in the shower.
Great location if you're visiting Portland. Very close to main freeways.

The breakfast, dinner, 24 hr hot coffee, in room kitchenette, and lobby/community area. Loved the outside dining that even had heaters! Not enough parking.
I have stayed twice both times 4 nites. Each stay has been excellent in all areas even when I had a maint. issue with my room that required me to move--the staff shined under pressure offering any solution to accommodate me #40ended up no charging one nite and helped me move#41 no questions asked. I am back in two weeks for another 4 days stay. Friendliest hotel I have stayed at best value for the money #40breakfast and dinner included#41 easy on off to the highway small fitness room and even a basketball court #40ball supplied#41 Cant miss if you stay here.
The free breakfasts and weekday evening meals were wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was not as well shielded from noise as we would like. You could easily here the other guests, especially their dogs. Check-in was longer than expected due to a large group ahead of us, it seemed their were many issues and only two counter clerks.
Aloha We felt very welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. Unit had a sitting area and a small kitchen, very comfortable. Afternoon dinner very nice as well as breakfast! Staff very welcoming!!! thanks! Also great area to go walking!! Hotel does not have a water view, you are located right across the street!
setting dated for the price
Location! So close to the water front and really good restraunts. The rooms are a little dated and could use a face lift, but we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
When i first walked in i was welcomed warmly by the girls at the front desk. I could smell this lovely aroma coming from the lodge, who would have known they also serve dinner monday till thursday. Everyone was so welcoming i felt like part of their family. I would tell anyone traveling to Vancouver to stay with this hotel. breakfast was also very good.
Ambience Pull-out sofa bed was uncomfortable. Regret not booking directly through hotel website. Paidxxx plus taxes=xxx. Hotel website onlyxxx plus taxes :(
The layout of the room and the hotel was convenient. The breakfast was decent compared to other hotel 'free' breakfasts. The pool area was just perfect for kids. The rooms appear dated and the furniture is somewhat uncomfortable.
It was one of the best suites that I have stayed at in the area and it was offered as a smoking suite. Not very much parking for the amount of suites. Had to park in the street after a night out on the town.
Over the Christmas holiday, we stayed at the Homewood Suites while visiting family. The fireplace room was very comfortable, morning breakfast was excellent, and the one evening reception we were able to attend was incredible. The staff was extremely helpful and overall we had a very pleasurable and relaxing stay. It's a great location and we would recommend this hotel to anyone!
We stayed two nights for a fun weekend trip. The beds were super comfortable and the location was great! Our favorite part was the bikes they have available for you to take out to explore the city!! We had a blast and would highly recommend this hotel!
Very fun and unique place. Great staff. Free bicycles and shuttle services for guests. Complimentary tea and coffee in your room. Located near several bars and restaurants. Will be back. One of the door guys was a little rude. He was short in his responses and seemed bothered by simple questions. Not really a big deal though. Didn't take away at all from my great experience at the hotel. Maybe he was just having a bad day .
All was good The blankets were a little confusing..
The location and prices were fair with good access to the running path I thought the comforters were a little too warm, it would be nice to have something a little lighter
Hotel Rose is what it is: a recently renovated motel. It's clean and comfortable, and staff are friendly. But to call it a four-star hotel is a real stretch, in terms of amenities and service. Compared to other downtown luxury hotels, this is a big step down at the same price. The bathroom is tiny, with outdated fixtures and mold stains. The provided toiletries are cheesy Tommy Bahama brand with an intense pina colada scent that I was a bit embarrassed to smell like all day. The bed only comes with a comforter, strangely folded on top of a bare fitted sheet, so you have to make your own bed. The king bed comes with two of these, each covering half the bed. Just weird. When I asked the front desk for room service to give me a top sheet, I was told I could find one in the closet and to make the bed myself.
Great location, staff super friendly. Parking wasn't expensive but unexpected cost.
Room was comfortable and clean, restaurant was good, and location was extremely convenient to exploring downtown Portland. There is NO soundproofing in this hotel, so bring earplugs (or get some from the front desk). You will hear street noise, river noise, train noise, and TONS of noise from other guests.
Good location with included bike rentals. There wasn't AC in the room.
It happened to be 100 degrees that day in Portland and my air conditioning in the room went out. They immediately came to my room and while facilities management couldn't fix it they moved me very quickly to new room and one with a better view. I arrived in Portland at 9 am ( I know check in time is 4 pm) but I travel often and it's generally never a problem to get a room by noon. They told me they would call me when a room was ready. I called at 1:30 pm to see what the eta of my room would be. The front desk woman at that time was short and seemed put out when she said "it's ready". Don't offer a call back service if you aren't going to follow through.
Fun location right on the river. Clean, modern hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The great location means that you will hear the noise (sometimes very loud) of an festivities happening on the river.
Loved the duvets. With there was a hot tub. Also, lots of homeless people camped very close to hotel made area less than great for walking around at night.
The location is great, add parking is free!. The rooms were too hot as they only have central air, and they can only have either heat or air conditioning on at any given time. My room faced the highway and the train tracks, so it was quite loud. They did however provide earplugs. But because my room is so hot, I had to sleep with the windows open, and unfortunately both of the screens on my windows were so severely torn they were worthless. I informed the staff about the screens and the next day they were still torn when I returned. I called the manager and he immediately came up and fix the screens for me and offered me an upgrade to a suite. So overall not that bad!
Visiting old friends and it was located just a mile away from them...big suite, comfy bed, clean, well-appointed...staff was great, called within 30 minutes of check in to see if we needed anying...brought extra luggage rack and pillow quickly....breakfast was a little disappointing, most entrees lukewarm, but not bad..great place, nice peice. .
Great room great cookies friendly staff
The price was fantastic for a large room with two queen beds and a sofa. The facility was clean, linens were lovely, and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly as well!
Great middle class hotel. Good price, nice rooms, everything was updated.
Attended the Portland Antique Show at the Expo Center. We spent the night after shopping all day and planned to return to the Expo the next day. The motel room was clean, the staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to restaurants, close to Portland. We would definitely stay there again.
We were there to celebrate out anniversary as well as go to an appointment in the area. We knew we wanted to eat at Mcgrath's which is just a parking lot away. The room was large they provided a complete desk and 2 TV's outlets on each lamp was awesome as well. We didn't use their food service. I would recommend and stay here again. The bed was too soft for us, the toilets seemed very low to the floor neither of these things were a big enough deal to make us not stay again.
very walkable, close to theater and parks, walk to the river, I like a firmer bed but no one else in the party had bed issues
The location on the water front is potentially nice. (1) Took well over 1 hour to check in at 2;30PM -- no rooms available! (2) Noisy. Lots of ambient street noise
We were able to walk or catch the trolley and go anywhere we wanted. It is quite central so we could see lots of attractions Great place
The view was beautiful. Very nice employees.
Location is great, facility is amazing, and staff was exceptional! Bed was a little firm but still got a good nights rest.
they brought a mini-fridge on request. lots of plugs for charging. Nice location, close to waterfront park and quieter than mid town locations.
The restaurant and friendly staff. In downtown Portland, but a bit far from certain attractions.
Nice location, lots of the city is walkable from here. The lobby is beautiful and the front desk staff made us feel very welcome. Once you get out of the lobby, the floors felt a bit dingy like they needed new carpets. The decor in the hallways felt a bit dated. Nothing particularly bad but just didn't feel quite polished. For the price I expected better.
The location and comfort made our trip an enjoyable first visit. Restaurant and accessibility from the interstate made it a stress free arrival, check in, check out... I don't know that we will stay at Modera for the price paid, again. Not a knock it is a gorgeous and friendly hotel. Great for a first visit.
The resturNt downstairs was very good and the rooms are clean... Small but clean. The shower was kind of cheesy. It's great if it's just a crash pad. The Staff and valet service were all very nice The smaller rooms, shower felt cheap with crappy water pressure.
Located close to downtown shopping and Keller Auditorium. Staff puts customers first. In house restaurant is fantastic. Excellent wait staff and food is great. Great outdoor patio with gas fire pits. Rooms not big, but very nice. Valet parking adds $35 per night. Would stay there again. $35 valet parking not mentioned in booking.
Always enjoy the staff, the contemporary atmosphere, the location, and the garden with fire pits. This is my favorite place to stay in Portland for a reasonable price (the nines is great but expensive, and the loft is great but more for an airport stay). The valet parking was pretty good and free for my Prius (they had a special for "green" cars) and really helped to steal my stay (the nines did not offer anything like that). If there was anythInfo@VertebrataChiropractic.com I had a problem with, it was that once waited for 15 minutes for my car and when I asked about it, the valet had forgotten about it. He immediately remedied the situation and had the car in 90 seconds, but it would have been nice to have gotten it when it was first asked for. A small oversight, and overall does not take from my five star rating for this property.
Location close to stores and downtown area Room was small. Bathroom was small. Bed was extremely loud and squeaky. Walls were thin
I loved the front desk staff and the valet staff. Upon checking in, the front desk staff was extremely helpful with tips on activities in the area and food and restaurant choices. They didn't sound rehearsed with their suggestions. They really seemed enthusiastic about their choices which made us enthusiastic about trying them out. The valet staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well. We left some items in our car that they had parked for us and they offered to retrieve them for us while we waited in the lobby. They greeted us every time we walked in and out the door and just seemed happy to be working there and not just working for tips. The customer service was greatly appreciated! The main negative comment I have is that their elevator is rickety and loud. I guess because we checked in at night, we got stuck with the room next to the elevator and you really can hear it every time it goes up and down. Luckily, we were just so exhausted from our daytime activities, we didn't have the energy to complain. Also, the housekeeping staff was a little intimidating. At around 4pm, we went back to our hotel room to freshen up and noticed that our room had still not been made. No big deal. We saw the housekeeping staff in the hallway and decided to tell them they can skip our room, but we wanted an extra towel and a new garbage bag. When we asked them, the staff member demanded my hotel room number in a harsh tone and when I told her, she then shouted to her co worker in another language some verbiage while pointing at us. They had a conversation, that sounded like an argument to me, for a few minutes while we were standing there waiting for the OK to skip our room and give us a towel. Mind you, they were standing right next to the towel cart conversing in their language while I was standing there confused.
Valet parking $38. No other real options.
I checked into Hotel Moderna after a very long day of traveling and checking out of another hotel because if wasn't clean or at all what I was looking for. The guy behind the front desk, after hearing of my travel troubles, offered me free drinks in the hotel restaurant to make my day better. He also gave me a map of the city and marked his favorite places to hang out in sharpie. The front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate me, which is exactly what I needed after the day I had.
Windows open - - a great feature these days if you lIke a little fresh air. Wonderful staff and convenient enough location. A bit pricey, especially the valet parking.
Outdoor fire pits. Didn't work: AC, tv. 5$ for a bottle of water when the room is 200$ per night and tap water is gross seems cheap. Resturant was very expensive.
The room was comfortable and kept us warm during the cold snowy week. We needed to print a few things and the copies were free. I didn't like that we were charged twice for the hotel. We talked with the manager who was able to explain the situation and get the first charge reversed; the bummer is that it took 5-10 business days.
Close to MAX light rail and shuttle to airport. Staff was rude, black mold everywhere, poor amenities, dry wall falling apart in rooms. Horrible smell in hallways. Noises at all time of day and night. Horrible if you are going for a real vacation.
Very clean, friendly staff and a good rate. I had a good stay!
This hotel is perfect for an overnight before a flight. Fly and go parking. In the middle of renovations. A lot of dirt and grime. Even in the rooms.
It is very close to the airport. In spite of its proximity to the airport, very little about our stay seemed accommodating or helpful. The front desk person, Scott, said that we'd need to be upstairs if we wanted both of our rooms on the same floor. He failed to mention that there was no working elevator in the building. When we asked him about it, he almost seemed to blame us for choosing the second floor. He was rude, the entire hotel smelled of smoke, the carpets were dirty, and nothing looked updated since the 1960s when it was built. We only had a 15 hour layover, and still, I don't think I'd say here again if it was free.
I needed a place close to the airport and it was great for that. But it was so dirty. The hallways and lobby were bad, so I hoped my room would be better. Not. Drawers were open, bedding was torn, carpet was nasty and the room wouldn't get cool. I wouldn't stay there again.
Close to airport Little old, needs updating
Low price for a night before flying out of PDX. Dirty rooms and stained linens, including likely bloodstain on the decorative bed cover. Weird lumps under the carpet. Overall, dingy, outdated and run down. Would not recommend unless desperate for a cheap room near the airport. I'd spend a little more next time to stay in a better place.
Service Paper thin walls
It was a convenient location near the airport. Room was clean and the staff were friendly. It's nothing fancy but does the job if you just need a quick place to stay before heading to the airport. They have a airport shuttle option which is nice to use as long as its not full. Check-in early to secure a spot on the shuttle. We were counting on using the shuttle service but when we arrived all the shuttle spots were taken for a large portion of the morning. The only available shuttle was leaving at 3am and would arrive many, many hours earlier than we needed to be at the airport, which was unrealistic for me. (I cherish my sleep.) Later they ordered a second shuttle to accommodate everyone which would have been nice. However they did not inform us and we had already made other costly arrangements to get to the airport. It would have been nice to know that a second shuttle was even an option. The pool/gym are not great.
Everything was well worth it for the price. Pillows!!! They were not very comfortable, very lumpy.
The price There is no elevator in this hotel
Location and staff were great. Flowers were a little pass their time and bathroom needed a little work. Lightning in the bathroom was poor and a magnificent mirror would have been helpful .
Everything. Especially the bartender. He is so knowledgeable about scotch, etc. He's wonderful. He the reason we stay there every holiday season. I forget his name but he's been there forever.
The lobby alone makes this place worth it. Top notch all around.
The location is great (close to all the downtown spots). The staff are well-trained and express interest/care. The hotel is dated. The look can be charming. But I don't think that chipped paint, old and over-exposed grout, faded/worn carpets, tough mattresses are part of the decor. Maybe other rooms in the hotel have been updated, but my room was not. I also faced a very load street/area so I would recommend asking for an updated room (if they have any), and for a room in a quiet location.
Hotel is very old but extremely well kept, it has a kind of regal feel whenever you walk in. Very good service and the location is the best. Just two things: The love seat and chairs in my room looked a little old, not in bad shape or anything, just old. The bathroom light was a little dim.
Great location, lovely hotel. I really just wanted to get some sleep. There was a lot of street noise, even in the middle of the night. Who knew Portland was so loud?
Convenient location, short two blocks from the MAX light-rail. Incredibly luxurious room, decent (not spectacular but OK) free internet (could get more speed for more money). Need room key to activate the elevator - an added level of security. Room was a bit dark, could definitely use more lighting or more powerful light bulbs.
Location was great and allowed us to walk to nearly everything we wanted to do. Lobby bar was amongst the best I've ever been to. Parking was not explained very well, and expensive. The valets ignored us for over 10 min before we drove off and parked in the garage that was less than a block away. Turned out to be the same garage the valet uses, and has a tunnel connected to the hotel. Room was dark due to only having one small window in the corner.
Very comfortable bed and staff was quite friendly. Great lobby and building with a ton of character, historic architecture, marble, and classic woodwork. (If you want a sleek, modern, generic place that looks the same as a hotel in any other city, this is not the hotel for you.) My room (1212) was quite small, especially the bathroom. Because I wanted a single large bed and the hotel was pretty full, I think maybe I had that oddball room that most older hotels have that are squeezed into a non-regular space. In this case, it also happened to be near housekeeping, which was noisy in the morning with carts being banged around. The room was fine but smaller than one might expect. The bathroom was ok for me but would have been an issue for someone who spends more time getting ready. There was not even enough room to stand squarely in front of the tiny sink because a bookcase/shelving unit was put on the wall right in the area in front of sink. I had to shave at an odd angle, off to the side of the sink.
Excellent location near great bars pubs and restaurants
Location in the heart of Portland. Great lobby. Staff unhelpful. Reservation was cancelled when it shouldn't have been. Small beds and rooms. Bathrooms just okay. expensive for what you get.
Easy walking to shopping in downtown and the Pearl district. Close to food carts and beer gardens. 1 block from the Max train.
Breakfast and cocktail hour was great addition to the hotel and added value to the stay for price. Wish guest treated staff better by tipping for being served and cleaning tables was surprised that we were the only ones I could see that tipped everyone for what they did. I was ashamed that people don't appriciate nice friendly staff that are willing to help. Pool was a little colder then I was expecting for everyone wish it was a little warmer. Elevator were so long wait but I guess that what you get when it a historic hotel.
The hotel is in a great location and upon entering all you see is a grand lobby decorated completely for Christmas. The checkin/check out process was incredibly easy and the staff was friendly. Even got a free upgrade on the room since we were there for only a night which was a huge and wonderful surprise. The room itself was clean and modern and the bed made me want to stay forever. The hotel offered complementary drinks at night which was a nice surprise and the morning breakfast was such a great experience as compared to other hotel's "breakfasts". Overall I would come back to this hotel every time I come to Portland.
The hotel is nice and in a good location I only gave this place three stars because the windows are only single pain which made our room very noisy. Lots of street noise and loud music from the club down the street. We went there to hang out down town but would also appreciate a good night sleep. Also the rate on kayak was the same as I could get just booking direct with the hotel.
I love the location, the staff, the old world charm, how accommodating everyone is. I'm not sure I love the new modern furniture in the lobby area.
Clean good complimentary breakfast and drinks Had to pay $10 for wifi $30 a night parking cable in room kept cutting out for our 2 night stay
Great, friendly staff. Excellent value for the money. The included drinks in the evening and full breakfast in the morning are a big bonus. I have stayed here before and will again.
Location was great. Parking Garage right across the street. The staff is the best in all departments. Room Service is outstanding and the Food delivered perfect. The beds were too hard and I woke up with a back ache both mornings. There is only one door between adjoining rooms and you can hear every thing that is said. Which also made us whisper. High school choir were in town and ran up and down hall way knocking on doors . Possibly they could place kids on one floor or wing as not to disturb your other customers.
Lack of cost effective or variety menu selections in steakhouse
Room was great, after changing rooms. Initial room not as described and had to show desk clerk reservation copy from email on phone. Res promised room with a view on top floor. Given previous floor level with view of parking garage. Said were given last available room with view. Had a great view of the city looking towards the river. Breakfast was great! Although the "cooked to order" ad description should of said "buffet" with optional "made to order" omelette. I did, and it was good. Having to use Valet parking. Rather a forced choice, because of logistics, then end up in public parking area anyway. Location was horrible. Maybe for some tastes is ok. Rough inner city, area. Not a place for going for walks or taking a young family. Sorry, we love Embassy Suites, but won't return to this one. Again, hotel inside was great. The surroundings not so much.
The air conditioning was very noisy, and we had to turn it off which made the room uncomfortable.
Location close to everything! They charge you for wifi , why!?!?!
I had a good experience. nothing!
Total redo of an older hotel. Very modern. Love having the coffee shop downstairs to grab breakfast at in the am and the hotel restaurant upstairs in fantastic. Great location with easy access to the MAX train lines. No issues. The parking at $25/day is high.
This was a complete random choice thru hotel tonight app but I could not leave once I saw the lobby : the citizens bakery and then the amazing room : I ended up extending my stay thru 9 more days! Great happy staff and excellent realistic affordable room rates made me continue to call this home / I'm happy there and I consider it my new Portland home when I'm in town Everything was awesome. Great gob everyone!
We loved everything. The bed was very comfortable. The room was beautiful and spacious and modern. The shower was amazing. It was huge and had 3 different shower heads. All of the staff was super friendly an amazing. The girl working the front desk upgraded us to a suite. without any charge just because we had mentioned it was date night when she asked us what brought us to Portland. The room we stayed in had floor-to-ceiling Windows which was so pretty at night. We have robes too. as a woman the other thing I loved was our shower head shampoo conditioner and body wash pumps on the wall. I normally bring my own shampoo and conditioner when I travel because in those little tiny bottles there's never enough product. So being able to use as much conditioner as I needed was a definite plus. We also had dessert at the restaurant which was super delicious. It was a gorgeous evening in the rooftop bar is lovely. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back.
Loved the bedding. Slept great. I did not like the bathroom sliding door. To slide it open is heavy and unsafe when it is open. Almost walked into the mirror. It is beautiful though.
Staff was super great! Room was clean. Great location. Worth every penny! The wifi only last 30 minutes unless you pay extra.
I was almost finished checking in when I was told that there would be a $25 early check-in fee.
Great location Great staff Clean Overpriced valet parking Self parking across the street Rooms similar to cheaper budget hotels outside of downtown
The young lady at the front desk was excellent. First I go to the wrong Hilton which is across the street she checks me in anyway. Then my wife and I come down the look around your city. And there she is at the front desk. She gives us great directions and great suggestions. Blonde with glasses. Loved it all
The beds were very comfortable, clean space, (small) but functional bathroom. The gym was *great*, large and definitely had everything I needed to lift weights and do cardio, including a small room with mirrors. It's also very centrally located, and easy to bus to and from, which is one of the best aspects of the hotel. I definitely didn't realize there was no complimentary breakfast, and they gave us two full beds instead of a single queen (which is what we reserved).
the staff was lovely and very helpful. No fans in the bathroom, views were weak, sauna and steam room was in the other building, which I found annoying.
The location of this hotel is very convenient for downtown activities and proximity to suggested things to do in Portland. The lobby and bar area are very nice. The work-out gym is also very good. While the Hilton is very convenient, there are some problems with this hotel compared to other hotels in this class. While free parking is not included, there is pay-to-park available from the hotel, but the hotel charges twice as much as the parking garage that is just around the corner(price gouging is not okay.) When I tried to ask staff about the private parking garage, they did everything they could to talk me out of it. Don't pay the excessive Hilton parking charge. I am finding that most hotels these days provide free internet in the rooms and in the lobby. I travel and stay at world-class hotels at least twice a month. So I broke down and paid for the premium internet access at the Hilton. It was far from premium. Not the slowest I have ever seen, but close to it. Also, at this level of hotel, I would expect all the rooms to have charging facilities for electronic devices. Sad to say, but the technical comfort of the room was anything but hi-tech!!
Great location. It's was nice and clean. The staff are friends The room we stayed at is a standard king room. It's tiny. It think it meant for one traveler. My husband and I feel so cramped in it. No free Wifi in the room, only in the lobby.
Tuesday night, December 20, the elevators were so noisy I was deprived of my sleep. Hilton should check the elevators There was construction going on so lobby level elevators were roped off for the evening so guests had to walk up two flights of stairs to gain access to the elevators. It appeared the construction crew was cognizant of cleaning up and they kept the worksite swept. However, on the 20th floor the glass table near the elevator looked as though it hadn't been dusted in several days. There was enough dust to write ones name on the glass! On a positive note, the employees at the front desk were very helpful at check in.
Loved the quality of customer service, food, and location. I didn't like paying $5.00 for a travel size bottle of hairspray?
excellent customer service. very accommodating. Extremely loud - the room above us and the people next door were very loud.
No exercise facility on premis. No in room water. Breakfast is no available before 6:30 am.
Hotel is always wonderful. Due to snow and ice storm I had to cancel. The hotel was fine with it. It was within their 24 hours. Unfortunately, the company I used on kayak stated I would have needed to cancel on the same date that I reserved!!!!! Are you kidding me? Don't reserve through them. They do not care what terms the hotel has.
