The modern updated room decor & hotel renovations. Also the rate of the room for the quality of the hotel was EXCELLENT
The toilet continued to run after flushing.....and had issues with room keys on our last night.
Nice location. Friendly staff. Comfortable room.
Public spaces all out of date and shabby.
Very beautiful, clean and friendly/ helpful staff.
Definitely needs elevators
A lot of construction in front lobby also hallways where hot.
The room was amazing as far as comfort, updates and the staff was amazing.
Rooms were very thin. We could hear where our neighbors were going to eat and all the details of their conversation. We had to buy ear plugs to sleep. Then our last 2 days the smoke alarm in the next room kept going off, waking us up.
The hotel was nice! It was being renovated, but I'm assuming we stayed in an updated room because it was very modern and had what looked like new furniture. The patio door actually worked on the 2nd floor! Also, you could walk to shops and restaurants.
Initially we had to change rooms becuse the tub had a layer of dirt that hadn't beed fully cleaned. The original room was on the first floor and we couldn't open the patio door. Also, there's a mini fridge but no microwave!

No vending machines close to rooms. They charge for ant amenities used in room. Breakfast is an extra charge and is too costly for what is offered. Commodes are too low and no means of assist installed to stand up from a sitting position.
The rooms were recently renovated. Lobby is due soon according to staff.
The hotel was clean and the atmosphere was peaceful. The Bed in my room provided the best night's sleep for me. The bed rocks.
No elevator. The maid service should check with the front desk in order to determine who has a late check out request. The maid service was beating on my door at 9:30 AM, and my check out wasnt until 1PM. Woke me up out of a peaceful slumber
I can't understand why this hotel has so bad reviews, we had a great experience, everything was clean and how supposed to be.

overall good experience.
breakfast could have been better. not enough food in a timely manner to accomodate the cust- omers. Many of the items were out even though breakfast had 1 hr remaining. Overpaid for that.
proximity to Stone Mtn
Under construction, smelled like sewage in the hallway...
I had horrible time in atl i ended up staying in the holiday inn across the streeet it was much better ..
great location, clean, friendly staff
Room is unusually small
The staff was courteous. The pool was a little bigger than we expected. I liked walking out from our first floor room to the pool in the courtyard. The bed was great. We slept great.
I assume we got a good rate because the hotel is under renovation. The water was off from 2:00 till after 7:00. Carpet in hall stained.
Location and quality of the hotel.
No! Everything was very good.
I had to switch rooms twice. Housekeeping went in room and went through all of my belongings even though the do not disturb sign was on door. When I told staff, they seemed unconcerned until I spoke to the 4th person at checkout who finally apologized.
Welcome staff and housekeepers were cheerful and friendly. The hotel doesn't allow smoking. There is free coffee in the lobby until 10:00 a.m. and lemon water all day. Free papers are in the lobby--Wall St. Journal and USA Today. Free wi-fi and parking.
There is no elevator. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. The hotel might be hard to find, as it is actually on Ranchwood, which turns off of LaVista. The Wells Fargo bank is between the Courtyard and LaVIsta Rd.
Marriott beds are some of the most comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly. Those are about the only redeeming qualities of this particular property.
Very old. Bed worn (though still comfortable). Much of the clientele resembled roadside motel guests who roamed the halls until late into the night with Bud Light, yelling obscenities at each other. Cleaning staff very loud in the hallway.
The front desk personnel were courteous, polite and professional. Coffee, gym, wifi and toiletry amenities were welcomed.
The stairs needed to be vacuumed and the room's balcony had quite a few cigarette butts on it.
This is a 1 star property listed as a 3 star hotel. It is a worn down two story motel without an elevator and rooms with thin walls without soundproofing. This is fine but what wasn't was that when I returned to the hotel after a day's work to find that my room had not been cleaned by housekeeping. When I complained I was told that the housekeeping staff had gone home for the day and because they were understaffed there were a number of rooms that weren't cleaned. After falling asleep in the unkempt room the front desk clerk woke me up to ask if I had called to complain about a loud TV which I had not. All I can say is stay way away from this place.
Atlanta had a snow/ice storm when we were there so the guests were stranded in the hotel. While many staff couldn't show up to work in the morning, other staff chipped in to help. And, everyone was very kind.
The water in the shower was lukewarm. After a workout, I walked through freezing hallways to a cold shower -- horrible. Also NBC wasn't available on the television in any of the rooms. And, the heater would blow out cold air before warm air came out.
It is conveniently located to surrounding sites and Atlanta.
The bedding covers were then and it did not seem to offer man amenities compared to other hotels at this star level.
The place was quite dated but quite clean. Location
Pool was closed No eleavtor Staff wasn't great
a bit overpriced, but must have been some event going on where hotels like to up the take. very quiet, just not our first choice of where we wanted to stay. stayed for 3 nights so the bill added up.
Central location and not too far from the airport.
Lotions, shampoos and soaps were very small.
This is an old, tired Marriott facility and not up to their usual standards. Buffet service was sparse and missing a lot of 'standard' items. Rooms were clean, but pillows were very small and flat. A/C did not seem to work well, but was very noisy.
Location and priceline price, although it's going up
Asked for upstairs room, got one w/out terrace, had to call twice to get switched.Biggest complaint: Priceline lists it as pet friendly, big sign at desk say No Pets. Priceline customers do not get 'free' breakfast.
The hotel room was fine.
While the hotel is only two stories, there was no elevator. We did not have a lot of luggage, but it was certainly a surprise and rather annoying. I did not see this mentioned anywhere on any website. I would have chosen a different hotel if I had known.
I am sorry I can not think of one good thing about this hotel.....oh, wait, when I called down to request and extra blanket they sent it up within 10 minutes.
The hotel is poorly located to any Marta station, so if you are planning using the Marta to get around down town, forget it. Also, the is older -everything in our room was stained, the balacany held 2 inches of brackish water and front desk was rude.
Hard to find,no easily seen signs off road. We stayed on the second floor and there was only one entrance to access it from the outside. They did not clean the room the first day. Breakfast ends at 10AM on weekends!
I tend to stay here on business. The staff is always nice. Rooms are always clean. Only minor thing is no refrigerator in the room, so I just get ice and purchase food before coming to hotel .
Roderick A Huguley from Pickerington OH--from August 13 until August 16. I found the staff to be very professional and courteous. Every member os staff was gracious and cosiderate. My room was well kept and clean. Each visit to Atlanta ( Stone Mountain) will find me making reservations to stay at the Courtyard
This was the first hotel I stayed at when looking to relocate to GA. The rooms were clean. We loved their all-cotton white sheets w/ navy blue piping. Location is near a mall, retail stores and restaurants. Great experience for the money. Would stay again.
My stay at Northlake Marriott was a great experience. When I first got there I realized that my room didn?t have a refrigerator which was needed to store my kids milk, I can honestly say that in less than 5 minutes of advising front desk a refrigerator was brought to my room. I also enjoyed the indoor heated Jacuzzi that worked wonders on my back. The buffet breakfast was Delicious (had to pay 9.95 per adult) and the waiter was extremely friendly and provided the best service. Its in a great location (close to gas station, yet in a safe neighborhood) I will definately recommend
