At this price point, service could have been a touch better/more flexible. It was already known I had my child with me yet the room did not include a yukata for him - I had to ask for it and turns out they had it. Also, we had just purchased some fine Japanese peaches and the staff weren't willing to have the kitchen cut it for us during the breakfast/dinner (which were both meals included already in our rate). In both above examples, I have been to enough higher-end ryokans which would have gladly taken care of these properly. There are no public onsens at all, good ryokans often have very nice ones. The private onsen in our own room didn't have what I consider good enough privacy standards as there is a public path nearby that people can look into the room from
