Very nice hotel. We liked everything.
Good facilities, very helpful and professional staff!
Lovely spacious room with a balcony.Bathroom very good with big powerful shower.Close to beach Food in restaurant was poor
There was nothing to complain about at all. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, and our room was lovely. We had a wonderful stay!
Room design/funishing. Quietness. The fact that it was away from the promenade with on site parking.
Location was good, price was good! Very comfortable stay! Some features in the bathroom were cheap, and there was a small leak so the dripping sound was annoying
pool area was nice had specified twin room but on arrival got one with double bed- the alternative offered was of lower standard and there was a noisy boiler outside so we didn't move. we were told there was no other room available so had to put up with a double bed.breakfast not good - poor variety and quality
Every thing! It wouldhave been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room
I found the staff very helpful and very pleasant to very visitors to the visitors the hotel was very clean and the food was excellent.I would have stayed a further two weeks at the Virgilio.
It is a lovely hotel in the most beautiful town of Sperlonga. The facilities were excellent. While there was great variety in the buffet breakfast the hot food section wasn't restocked sufficiently. In comparison to the restaurants in the town the evening meal in the hotel was extraordinarily poor value for money. The staff were very helpful when asked but a better effort could be made to inform arrivals about the facilities, discounts available at the beach, etc. Overall, however, we had a very pleasant stay in this truly stunning part of Italy.
Helpful Staff. Nice pool area. Clean. Uncomfortable beds.
Great customer service, polite and knowledgeable staff, and very clean rooms. Balcony was nice size. Beach was very clean. Restaurant was overpriced, though, and food was only fair. For instance, breakfast buffet contained no fresh fruit.
hotel panoramic views. further from centro than i thought, food ok,but not the best.however the views made up for it.The centro wasnt too great either
It was very good service. We used the shuttle bus to the city and to the railway station. Its a long walk to the city so its nice that the hotel have a bus. It was very clean and everything looked nice at the hotel. We got clean towels every day!! Lovely garden and we could eat outside at breakfast. Great beach and pool. The breakfast did`not have vegetables and fruits. It was a very long walk to the city.
The quality and friendliness of the Staff made this a good holiday,we go to Terracina to celebrate important annivefsaries, so we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
absence of the ironing room and baseless high price on the services
The room and in-room facilities were quite good; private well-organized beach; English-speaking and Russian-speaking staff, quite polite and helpful; shuttle bus available practically anytime and to any destination (payable) Terribly noisy, as almost every day there were some parties and events for outside customers (wedding, birthday, conference, etc.) with loud-speakers, music and fireworks till 3 a.m., so that hotel guests were obliged to stay with closed windows. The hotel loation is far from city center, no restaurants nearby. The nearest foodstore - at 20 minutes walk distance. Bycicles for rent - in bad condition.
Staff were very helpful and they also spoke English. Pool was lovely (you will need to wear a swimming cap though - mandatory - which you can buy at reception for 3EUR). Prices of food and drinks at the beach bar was surprisingly reasonable, given no other alternatives nearby. Secure parking is available. No.
I liked that it was very close to the sea, nice garden and nice beach. The ones who cleaned our room did an excellent job. Very poor breakfast. As the hotel is quite far outside town and it's impossible to get dinner anywhere nearby before 9PM in the evening, when travelling with small kids is quite challenging. Eating at the hotel restaurant costs 25euro per person. So if travelling whith small children and you want to stay at Torres I would recommend buying half pension.
The building is modern and well kept, very close to the beach and with a great view of the gulf. It's close enough to Terracina to allow easy access to the town and its Roman ruins. Good food to be found in town. For a 4-star hotel, the room was small. The main facilities, beach and pool, are also smallish and the hotel makes you pay extra for the deckchairs and the beach umbrella.
The hotel had a terrible smell.
Great overall modern (40s) design, clean and two steps away from a delightful little village.
Staff was amazing, helped with internet, directions, verypleasant. The vibrant colours of the decor were fresh and inviting, great breakfast. Rooms are small.
The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The bar/restaurant area was simple clean and excellent value for money. For example coffees were 1 Euro each and a Gin and Tonic was 4 Euros. The rooms were a bit small but well equipped.
We had both a quadruple and triple room for our family. Both very spacious, modern & clean. Lovely & comfortable covered veranda off the quadruple (rm 112) looking onto the pool area & restaurant w/mountains behind. Free usage of bikes available which the kids enjoyed! Hotel located in a well-kept residential neighborhood only a 5-min. walk (2 blocks) away from the sea. Internet in room & plenty of cable TV channels. No warm food at breakfast or much choice for those preferring non-sweets (only cold cuts & cheese; white bread only; lots of sweet croissants). Not really a big problem but tissues in bathroom would have been nice. Ceramic tiling in rooms & corridors does tend to carry sound esp. from room above (padding on chair legs would help perhaps).
Excellent services and facilities for our needs - and the location is perfect for a trip to Pompeii or Rome.
Rooms were comfortable and quite modern, iexcept of bad acustic isolation. no privacy in the room; "paper walls"-we could hear every single word from neighbouring rooms, air conditioning controlled only from the reception. Breakfast was on the level of 2* hotel, there was nothing to eat, mainly wrapped long-lasting food which is just the contrary to the description on their website ("sumptous" buffet breakfast).Terracina is not a nicest place to visit and spend holidays.
The hotel is very peaceful, staff pleasant, hotel clean, location very good for the beach, hotel pool very good. We liked the fact that Terracina was true Italy as well as the hotel. Probably a little bit basic for 4 stars.Difficult to get meals/snacks without pre-booking, would like tea/coffee facilities in the bedroom. would still go back again though.
The location was very good. Also parking places availible for the guests are very useful. To change: a) keys are to be changed to electronic,b) TV to be renewed
everything was great. especially the private beach! your website did not provide accurate address information
close to the beach
All the best
Initial arrival was well handled, however thereafter a complete disaster. Location/View excellent Almost everything except as per above. No towels in the room,TV not working,air- con/heating not working. When tried to complain was told 3 times no speak english by the Night Guard at Reception who was apparantly the only staff on duty.GM Never contacted despite complaints.Top of all I had very severe food poisoning on the flight back which could only have come from the breakfast taken at around 9 am, dinner the night before was at 9 pm more than 17 hours before the symptoms manifested on the plane !!!! fyi, my partner is a medical doctor and Lecturer at Thailands leading University. I am President of Centara Hotels & Resorts, the largest hotel group in Thailand with over 23 hotels and close to 5 000 rooms.
on the beach, nice pool. very clean. staff not very friendly especially as it was out of season and very few guests staying at the hotel, very little information about surrounding area, breakfast not great.
The only thing we liked about this hotel was its proximity to the beach but every hotel in sperlonga is within short walking distance of the beach. I liked nothing about this hotel i found the staff to be extremely rude probably the worst ive ever come accross anywhere in the world with the exception of the cleaning staff who were friendly. The service was even worse we paid for bed and breakfast the only thing we could eat in the morning was cereal because everything else was disgusting and stale as it was just covered over and left on the breakfast table for days, the bar was non existent we couldnt even get a coffee and any time we did look for bar service they treated us so rudely, the rooms were out dated and damp and there was a constant smell of sewerage. At 130 euro a night we could have stayed somewhere alot more accomadating and friendlier.....stay at your peril
The personal touch, especially the home made marmalade, delicious!
Great room, attractive and potless bathroom, balcony, very good breakfast, facility to leave bags at hotel on check out day as not departing till late in the day.
The hotel was thoroughly clean and tidy, ideal location next to main strip, food was lovely and staff extremely courteous and friendly. Could not fault it in any way and would return tomorrow if we could. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone, thats how high we rated it. Excellent.
Staff were excellent-friendly and helpful and rooms were basic but really clean and well maintained.Quiet and nice location.
Everything was perfect. So close to the sea, just one minute walk. Our room was lovely, with a nice balcony with view.Breakfast?AMAZING.Anything you could desire....cakes, croissants,fruit,juices,coffee,cappuccino,marmal- ades, jams, cereals, fresh, bread, biscuits, ham, cheese and so on.It's definitely the place towhere to stay if you go to Sperlonga.
Unfortunately, absolutely nothing positive Advertised "private beach" and terrace does not exist, We have ordered strictly non smoking room - all rooms are "very smoking".Traffic noise for 24 hours, Music all night long long - neighboring night club. Rooms are durty and old. We have moved to different place next day, they charged credit card at arrival day for 7 nights. Avoid this hotel.
no private beach as advertised, wo way to sleep at night because of disco across the street, hotel located on main road -trafik noise around the clock, no terrace as advertice. breakfast is "uneatable". rooms are dirty.
Excellent service and very competent personal. Big thanks to the service desk for giving all kind of information and helping out. Good location - close to everthing. The rooms are standard and can not be compered to 4 stars in sweden. But clean and nice.
Close walk to almost any activity. No small face cloths in europeon hotels
Reception staff very helpful. Very little tourist info available in hotel. Inconsistent selection of food at breakfast. Breakfast tables often left uncleared.
Staff were very pleasant, efficient and friendly. Well overpriced at â¬180 per night. The hotel was well passed its best and rather dog eared and in need of refurbishment.
Friendly, helpful and polite staff, good location, clean, comfortable and good value for money. Also, hotel's restaurant is excellent.
Location right on a sandy beach.
Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, nice sitting outside, beach and view
Very well located by the sea and beach. Clean and newly renewed room. Excellent and personal service from all staff and brilliant food at the restaurant. If you ask for one of the renewed room, this is in fact at least a four star hotel ! Heavy traffic on narrow road to the city of Terracina. Not possible to walk. (However the staff was very helpful with shuttle to the city, but then you have to make appointments and loose some flexibility.)
Location, houmly atmosphere, stylish interior design, 44 footsteps to the sea
Good-looking new hotel with nice eco design & "clever" rooms. Kind staff, 5 minutes to the luxury beach abd the price was 130 eur for the room (2 persons), so we definitely recommend this hotel as a good one to stay in Sperlonga (Italy)
A nice stay in a new hotel with easy access to everything. Clean, quiet and perfect for a few days of relaxed holiday whether your a family or a couple.
The staff.... Nicola, Luigi, Analisa and, especially english speaking Sofia, went out of their way to help me w/bus schedules and accomodated me in any way they could. I am a world traveler and this was one of the best places I have stayed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit this area of Italy. It is a new ,clean, modern hotel ...a short walk to the center of historic Fondi. A great location from which to be based in order to go to the sea or tiny villages nearby. Excellent bus and train connections as well as a free shuttle to nearby beach in beautiful Sperlonga . I rate this place a 10 out of 10 ! Bravo, Hotel del Conte!! My only concern is not with the hotel but the attached restaurant which is run separately from the hotel. The cook, Teresa (sister of the hotel owner), prepares excellent italian meals and was very nice, however, her husband, the owner of the restaurant, has absolutely no clue as to how to treat customers and needs to take lessons from the owners of the hotel. I ate there the first few nights of my 9 day stay but stopped going after being treated badly and insulted by this man. I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience.
Kind staff, cosy room and yummy breakfast!
Fresh and smart modern hotel. Extremely helpful and serviceminded staff. Free transport alt. free parking at beach, no fees at beach. Good location for excursions although not charming. 10 minutes to city center and a great restaurant there called "Vicolo di Mblo´" Kitchen at hotelrestaurant needs upgrading. Small garden/yard and pool.
The room we had was spotless and had everything we needed, including comfortable bedding and bathroom with shower. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. There are shops and a bancomat nearby, so food, drink, and other necessities are nearby. This is not a problem with the hotel itself, but the location involves a long walk uphill from the train station. Those arriving by car will of course have no problem, but those arriving by train should arrange for a taxi.
