6.5 Good
Pros: Nice lobby, courteous staff, comfortable bed.
Cons: Tiny gym, mold in the bathroom grout, room amenities were average, surprising amount of wear and tear in our room for a hotel in this category.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is ideal for seeing the museums and monuments. Lobby and restaurant staff are warm and welcoming.
Cons: If you forget to tip housekeeping each morning, don't expect clean towels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, quiet and accommodating.
8.2 Excellent
Cons: Colonial parking provides valet parking at the Willard for $55 per night. They refused to tell me about any other options when there was another parking garage just behind the hotel. I won't return to the Willard until they lower their parking rates.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was absolutely stunning! The restaurant's service was great and the food was delicious.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has been recently renovated, so everything was brand new. Note that only half of the hotel is the "historic" part, now the other half is new. That didn't bother me at all. There was a very nice, upscale feel to the whole place. The staff were wonderful - very nice and accommodating. I stayed one night and when I came into my room after being out, all of my lights weren't working - a breaker had blown. When I called the front desk, it was taken care of within 10 minutes by a very polite maintenance staffer.
Cons: The location was just okay - I walked from the closest Metro (Mt Vernon/Convention Center), and found myself walking along a street with boarded up houses. I wasn't taking any shortcuts, this was one of the main streets by the hotel. This wasn't too much of a problem for me, as I used Lyft to get everywhere and didn't do much walking at all. But it is something to keep in mind if you are making a reservation here. The only other thing was that my bed was very firm. That's a total personal preference, but did interfere with my sleep
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Unique historic and charming hotel in great downtown location. Nice antique furnishings, nice dining are for breakfast.
Cons: The room was small but clean and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room, friendly staff and great location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was quiet, the room furnishings were fresh and attractive, and I found the decor pleasing generally. The room overlooked the courtyard, which was also quiet. A good location too--we were able to walk to many of our destinations right from the hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I needed a cab one rainy morning, and asked at the front desk if they could call for one. Instead, the bellman grabbed his umbrella and went out to the street, down to the nearest busy corner, and whistled up one for me. Above and beyond!
Cons: Our room was small--would have been perfect for a single guest, but a little cramped for two. Just one bedside table, for example, with no room for a second. We would have liked a king bed, but one evidently wasn't available--again, perhaps a size issue. Last, half the wardrobe cabinet was taken up by a room safe and refrigerator pre-stocked with candy, soda, and alcohol, so there wasn't quite enough room for two people to hang our things. And yes, no iron or ironing board. We didn't try the meal facilities. We'd stay again--the pluses outweigh the minuses.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, location was convenient, rooms were very comfortable and nicely furnished.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Small room. Dirty carpet. TV in a cabinet. Full size bed. Horrible stay
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: staff was courteous
Cons: They accepted my reservation then gave away the room. Sent me to another hotel without rooms. A true nightmare in the middle of the night in DC
7.4 Good
Pros: Spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Visibly older and run-down in places.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming staff. Very comfortable room. Comfortable bed, roomy shower. Good temperature controls. Very nice courtyard.
Cons: Should have free coffee in lobby in the morning. Temperature in lobby too cold.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Ritz-Carlton is what we dreamed all our previous hotels would have been. The staff, facility, rooms, food, location, and atmosphere could not be improved. In addition to a beautiful property with excellent customer service, the Ritz-Carlton is literally steps from the Pentagon City Metro station. They treated my children like kings and made our stay well worth the price. The search for lodging in the Washington D.C. area has ended. We will never stay anywhere else again!
Cons: I cannot say I did not like anything. Even the small logistical issues we had, that come with children, were fixed above and beyond expectations. The staff over-compensated for any issue that arose during our stay. Others should learn from the Ritz-Carlton model.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, no outside noise what so ever despite the location.
Cons: Nothing that set apart the Ritz from the others, room, furniture, bathroom was very medicore and what you get from any other hotel in the same class.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Great bed.
Cons: Location is not good - no local character. Pretentious - with no good reason.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Service excellent, great atmosphere and convenient to all local area
Cons: Nothing,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Metro was just outside the front door and it made for very easy trips on the metro. The airport is only two stops away and you avoid the hassle of traffic if you don't have too much luggage to carry. I saw several families there so I think it would be a nice place for families too. And of course, the service was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
7.4 Good
Pros: Free early check-in. Quiet room.
Cons: No free wifi. Drab view from room.

7.4 Good
Pros: Very nice, large, clean rooms.
Cons: Under construction. Gets noisy well before 8am says it's in Georgetown but really it's east of it. Not a lot walking distance
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Overall, a nice hotel and had a good stay. I especially enjoyed the gym, which was the best hotel gym I've ever tried - had a lifting platform, power racks, and dumbbells going up to 120 lbs. My only complaint would be the daily parking fee, nearly $50 a day. Nearby garages seemed to be charging $20-$25 a day.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Several smokers on our floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Very clean room and bathroom. Great ambiance in the area.
Cons: The air conditioner in the room would keep automatically changing to the heater setting.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: n/a

Pros: From the staff to the amenities, enjoyed the room, restaurant and proximity in DC.
Cons: WiFi in room should be free and food pricey.

Pros: Overall hotel was in great condition and price was right.

Pros: Facility was quiet, clean and showed a high level of attention to detail. Concierge was very helpful for dinner recommendations and provided a perfect location that was not readily found via standard web based search.
Cons: Gym staff was inattentive and actually were playing 2 types of music very loudly at the same time!

Pros: Near perfect stay
Cons: Everything very pricey, but not out of line with the area.

The hotel is also within minutes of the George Washington University and the World Bank, making it a good choice for students of families who are visiting students who currently attend the university. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: The television in the room is extremely outdated and did not provide a clear picture.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quick stay, but check in was super easy, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, bright, and updated. Also great water pressure! Everything we wanted/needed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very clean and modern. Staff were extremely courteous. Restaurant food was excellent. Great stay all the way around, I would stay there again without doubt.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Very comfortable rooms. Located near GWU so the neighborhood is not far from fun activity, yet quiet when need be. Friendly staff and they check on you at least 3-4 times a day.
Cons: Aging facilities. One of the buildings located across the street from homeless people in tents, which brings you back to reality about ther affordable housing situation within this country.
6.0 Good
Pros: * Room was a good size * Room included a kitchen area with full-size fridge and sink.
Cons: The room was extremely cold, and when we turned the heat on, the vent blew colder air out. We called the front desk and were informed that they had "switched over" the system and that even though it was turned to heat it would only cool the room. We were told a space heater would be sent to the room, but one never arrived and then hours later we were told they were out of space heaters. If the heating and cooling system can be "switched over" then presumably it can be switched back, so my question for this hotel is if everyone was so cold that you ran out of heaters, why not switch the ability to heat rooms back on? Overall it was kind of bizarre and extremely inconvenient to have to wear coats indoors and put a damper on our otherwise-pleasant stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: location and walkability to the national mall. Full kitchen.... regular size fridge, oven/stove, sink, microwave!! staffs are very, very helpful and friendly and courteous
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very reliable and consistent. Good value for money. Excelllent location a few blocks away from the White House and all the monuments on the National Mall
5.7 Okay
Pros: The staff were helpful and nice and the location was convenient. The kitchen is a nice convenience, but not needed for a short stay.
Cons: The carpet in the room was dirty. There is no fan or window in the washroom so steam from the shower stays in the room, this causes humidity and mold. I'm allergic to mold so this was very uncomfortable. The hotel has two towers, and only one common washroom with one stall located in the other tower. If you have a late flight out you can store your suit cases but no place to change. The toiletries were advertised as designer. It was bath and body brand. The washroom was dirty, hair in the tub. I don't recommend the Hotel for physically challenged guests as there are steep stairs up to the elevator from the lobby. I had to struggle with the suitcases up the stairs. Beware that the hotel charges if there are more than 2 occupants in the room. This was not disclosed at booking. They also charge for incidentals at check in. I found this Hotel to be Overpriced for what you get. I stayed at the Marriott down the street last year, I payed about the same and had a much nicer room, pool, etc.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s a great location and the place is super clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was huge for such a great place!
Cons: The parking was a little expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed one night as we were attending a performance at the Kennedy Center. The location was great- we walked to the venue and got a quick and cheap cab ride back. We also walked to the monuments and major DC attractions. The location is great, and there is a Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks nearby, if you don't want to pay high restaurant prices for breakfast. The room was gorgeous, and we had a view of the Washington Monument from our window! The staff was helpful and friendly, and even with parking the rate was good. If we didn't have to park a rental car, it would have been a downright steal!
Cons: Really nothing to complain about. The parking is expensive, and valet only but you don't really need a car to see the DC tourist sites, and the parking fee was comparable to every other hotel in the area. Free breakfast would have been nice, but I don't expect it in this type of hotel. I didn't use the restaurant, and instead went to Starbucks for breakfast and coffee.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and very well maintained. Nice accommodations. Nice staff.
Cons: There was a transitional issue with the heating and air. We were between hot and cold days so the heat was the only option- no air conditioning. It was warm in the room on the hotter days- they did provide us with fans which helped. If it had been warmer outside it would have been very difficult to sleep.

9.1 Excellent
Pros: A good clean room in a meeting hotel, for a reasonable price
7.7 Good
Pros: The facility was nice and the staff was friendly.
Cons: The huge difference between rooms. Our double was way less elegant than the single queen rooms. So we had to choose if we wanted a nicer room or two beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great renovations/updates and well stocked club lounge.
7.7 Good
Pros: Clean room, pleasant, modern decor. EXCELLENT location as the metro was accessible without going outside the building - this was extremely important to us as we were there for the women's march and transportation in and around DC was stretched to its limits. There was no hassle with having to get a shuttle to the metro as has been needed with other hotels I have stayed in, in the area. Staff was polite and professional - no problems checking-in 2 hours earlier than planned. Parking was secure and not excessively expensive. Negatives: No free in-room wifi, television was so-so.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Metro connection near the hotel!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: I loved that the metro was right under the hotel. So convenient. The pool and spa were beautiful. The staff are excellent.
Cons: Spa was a bit too hot at 108 degrees You couldn't bear to get into it and if you did it was only for a few seconds before feeling light headed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was incredibly kind to my son and to us from check-in to departure. Pool is a plus for families with kids. Soooo close to the metro for business or leisure and close to coffee and a drugstore for incidental purchases.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Size of room Late check out upon request Clean Nice amenity products Bathtub Friendly, helpful staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. The hotel staff were very helpful. The Hotel is connected by underground tunnels to shopping and the metro system. The catering staff were very accommodating to my wife who is a vegan.
Cons: The only bad part was the hotel restaurant was very slow and overpriced.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Guests with lounge access have access to full breakfast buffet
Cons: Needs a new gym and guest rooms in the Capitol Tower need renovations

7.7 Good
Pros: The ability to use Netflix and other internet tv providers was a bonus.
Cons: The shower tile bit into my feet and it was too large for a small shower head.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. Wifi was fast.
Cons: Standup shower, no bathtub, bidet, or spray hose for personal hygiene. Pricey lobby food options. Breakfast was not included, but there's a perfectly nice breakfast cafe out the back entrance that's full of police and municipal workers, which was good enough for me!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fitness center is amazing. Rooms are spacious
Cons: Pet policy is awful. A dog barked into the early hours of the morning and staff did not handle appropriately
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms, Excellent views, excellent Customer Service
Cons: Nothing. I only stayed one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quality in all areas. They also honored my reservation with no problem even though I reserved it for the wrong night. They didn't make it like they were doing me a big favor either.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Washington Tower rooms are really spacious, comfortable and worth the upgrade when you have a bunch of people staying in the room, namely during a convention next door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Washington Tower suite room was super spacious
6.5 Good
Pros: Hotel is big, clean, and convenient
Cons: Room wasn't ready when we arrived (even though we noted online at check-in), then wasn;t ready when they said it would be 3 hours later. Room wasn't cleaned until I called at 4pm after our first of 2 nights. In room dinning was delicious but both times we ordered, part of our order was missing - even when we called to notify, they said they were sending it, and it never arrived.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: comfort value clean
9.1 Excellent
Pros: I liked the proximity to everything - an Uber was never more than 4 minutes away! Plus you're in walking distance of a lot of places including the metro. The beds were super comfortable and I liked that most of the rooms had a separate magnifying mirror.
Cons: The floors are hard to navigate and easy to get turned around. With an injury I had to find a room closer to the elevator. When I changed rooms, I still had TO WALK to both my old room and the new. No one had an indoor golf cart or something that would make changing my room location a little easier, physically. The handicap accessible rooms had way less closet space and were less clean since they are not used as often or as regular, the beds need their mattresses turned - one bed was quite 'slope-y' on one side. Not every room has a separate magnifying mirror and the ones that do are not tended to in a way that a rusty spot doesn't form on the counter top underneath it.

7.7 Good
Pros: I came down to ride my bike to all the museums and monuments. When I presented my claim ticket for my bike to the bellman my bike had been stolen. I spent 4 hours in the lobby filling out a police report
6.5 Good
Pros: the rooms were clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Central location
Cons: Very small rooms. Housekeeping tries to go into occupied rooms without properly knocking, room service food and deliveryis poor, phone attendants seem angry.

Pros: This is such a grand hotel. We spent 4 wonderful days here, great staff, exceptionally clean rooms and great views.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Beautiful view of the Washington Monument from our room. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel went out of their way to please us. In particular: Mr. Herb Wright greeted us daily with his million dollar smile and was always ready to be of assistance. Mekdes Pierce, Nathan and Limlin worked so hard each day in the lounge for breakfast and appetizers/dinner. They were so kind no matter how busy they were.
Cons: Absolutely not one thing. It was an outstanding hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Customer service
Cons: The sofa sleepers
6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: They offered to an upgraded room with a view for more $ Room had no view. AC broke , took 1 full day and multiple sells to get it repaired.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Customer service was phenomenal. Short wait times, responsive knowledgeable staff.
Cons: Valet service was lacking due to extended wait times. The hotel is renovating the front lobby, so the entrance was moved to Pennsylvania Ave.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were incredibly well appointed, decorated. Modern, sleek, and comfortable, including the halls that lead to the room. I stayed 9th floor.
Cons: The construction impacted the ease of navigating the main lobby floor. Also, i was not instructed on how to use the elevator system when i checked in, which confused me and delayed my movement toward my room.
6.0 Good
Pros: We likes the decor and the cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel was in a good location for sightseeing.
Cons: Housekeeping forgot to clean our room in the morning so we had to call and ask that they come at night when we were out to dinner. The pillows were also really too soft without much support. And we didn't realize until we got there that the overnight parking fee was $59 per night....kind of a lot when you gross everything up we might have been better off at another hotel location with less expensive parking! Once you are there though you are stuck with it. Ugh. Next time.

Pros: Comfort and luxury in a historic building that's been updated to accommodate today's discerning business traveler. Helpful and friendly staff. The lobby bar also attracted recognizable federal officials and notable DC power brokers.
Cons: I got lost trying to find the elevator but that experience added to my sense of security (and awe) while staying the hotel.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close to train. Cabs right out front if needed. Great value for the price. Convenient having a bar/food right in the hotel. Coffee provided in the morning. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Umbrella and one robe provided in the room.
Cons: Tiny elevators. Room was small. Only 1 tiny window in the room and we had no view. Shower door didn't stay closed. The water was $4 a bottle in the room. There was no dresser but rather 2 drawers located in the closet.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location and apparence about buiding, is a Tresaure of tourism in America. Bravo!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The proximity to downtown D.C. and the monuments was perfect! We loved that there were a few coffee shops and restaurants nearby, especially the Dubliner, an Irish restaurant and bar, that was situated right under the hotel itself. Staff was incredibly nice and the hotel was very clean - we plan to stay here whenever we come back to visit!
Cons: The only downfall is that walking around the area at night can be a little questionable, especially going to or coming from downtown D.C. It's eerily quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location - walking distance from Union Station Staff - helpful at check-in Price - reasonable rate Rooms - small but just updated, look / feel great, stylish - felt like I was paying MUCH more
Cons: No downside - rooms small but decorated so well that didn't notice or hinder the stay Arrived late, left early so didn't have any down-side to the stay Free coffee only - but liked the coffee lounge
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself was pleasant despite being under repair such as an out-of-service elevator. The convenient location was key for us as we arrived and departed through Union Station, just a couple of blocks away. It's also reasonable walking distance to the capital building, China Town, Verizon Center, Pennsylvania Avenue, etc. The room was small but the bed and room were clean and comfortable. The desk staff were friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The amenities were bare bones. No frig in room, no comp breakfast or wine hour. The fitness center was a little lacking as well: small space and there were free-weights, but no benches on which to use them. The water pressure in the shower was very weak. It was like trying to shower with a toy squirt gun. Check-in could have been a bit smoother: we arrived around noon, so we had previously requested an early check-in (normal check-in is 3:00 PM and this is not explicitly stated until you complete your booking). We were told over the phone early check-in would not be possible. Once we arrived, we went to the hotel anyway to see if we could store our bags. It turned out we were able to check in early, so I'm not sure why were initially told that early check-in was not possible. Service at the restaurant was poor. We went for lunch after checking in. I ordered a drink after we were seated and I did not receive it until after we were finished eating and had received the check. There was some kind of problem with their taps. They were apologetic and did provide the drink for free since it took so long, which was nice.
6.5 Good
Pros: The hotel itself was pleasant despite being under repair such as an out-of-service elevator and an out-of-service ice machine.
Cons: When I checked out, they tried to charge me for six nights when I had stayed five. When I pointed this out, there was no apology. Mistakes can be made, but overcharging by hundreds of dollars is a very big mistake and deserves some serious groveling. I waited about five minutes for them to correct this, but they couldn't even get logged into the computer. I told them I'd be in the breakfast room and to bring me the corrected receipt. After half an hour, there was still no corrected bill. I went back to the desk to ask about it. This time I got a mumbled "I'm sorry," but I wasn't sure if it was for overcharging or for taking so long. It seems they overcharged everyone in the hotel, and I was just the first to notice. They were sorting out the mess. Besides a serious apology, you'd think they'd be thankful to me for alerting them to a massive problem before they had a lobby full of irate guests. You might think they would at least offer to pay for my breakfast while had to wait so long, if not offering a free night. I got nothing but a long wait. I eventually got my corrected receipt and ran and caught my train to the airport by just one minute.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location, the staff is friendly
Cons: Draft from windows (they are not sealed),the bathroom is cold (no heating lamp there), the heating blows air straight to bed (not comfortable at all especially after taking a bath) no coffee maker in the room, and no hot drinking water in the lobby after 11 am.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful and clean. The location was excellent. All the hotel staff were Grundy and courteous.
Cons: Other room's room service trays sitting in the hallway for more than 24 hrs. Unbelievable that they charged $4 for the water bottles in the room. Tried to go for a drink in the pub, staff were not attentive; sat for over 15 mins without getting asked what we wanted or asked about drinks; simply left and no one noticed.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: My room was apparently newly remodeled, and was very modern, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. The location - just two blocks from the parks surrounding the Capitol on the senate side, are hard to beat. It's a short block walk to Union Station if arriving via train or Metro. There is very little to the hotel other than the rooms - I didn't use the fitness center or the Dubliner restaurant next door, but if you are just looking for a convenient, impeccable room this is a great choice. I'll definitely return.
Cons: Via the phone and their web site, they required a 3-day minimum stay. Fortunately booking via Kayak let me book a single night, or I would have had to stay somewhere else.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms, helpful staff. Private setting with an interesting bar. The night we were there the bar was very busy and noisy yet the noise was completely isolated from the lobby. Irish themed, the bar had an excellent selection of beers and whiskeys. We didn't try the restaurant, so I can't give an opinion. The Phoenix Park is an excellent choice, especially for business travelers.
Cons: Nothing - good place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel with an incredible staff. It is a block from Union Station and convenient to all public transportation. This makes it incredibly easy to get to all of the sites to see in DC and Georgetown. The complimentary coffee bar is wonderful. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again if I were to travel back to DC.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very accommodating. Room was rather small, but very comfortable and immaculate. Restaurant and pub attached to hotel and cafe just down the corner. 5 minute walk to Union Station.
Cons: Only thing missing was coffee maker in the room.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very pleasant and professional. The rooms were clean and spacious.
Cons: The breakfast needs improvement, it was below average.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms, comfortable bed. The shuttle service is great and very accomodating whenever we needed it. Metro station is close by. Front desk staff was very nice. Liked having coffee available in lobby 24 hours.
Cons: No vending machines in the hotel and nowhere close (walking) to buy anything. They have the little market shop in the hotel with exhorbitant prices! Smokers are allowed to smoke right outside the main door....which is also where we had to wait for the shuttle. One time there were 11 people smoking. Ugh! There should be a separate smoking area around the corner.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice large rooms with shower and bath in separate rooms. Good hot breakfast in the morning. Accomodating staff, and free shuttle service to and pickup from the metro stop and mearby restaurants.
Cons: The sliding doors to the shower and toilet areas don't latch and tend to roll open by themselves. Our thermostat did not eork eell and we alternately froze and overheated all night. The fold out couch bed is handy, but so uncomfortable my kids wouldn't sleep in it after one night. They slept in the bed with me instead.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The local restaurants were amazing, the staff were super helpful and it was a great location for us!
Cons: Maybe boring breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a nice hotel with great amenities. The hotel is very clean and feels new. The breakfast is pretty standard continental fare but we enjoyed it for all 4 days. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators which was nice. Parking was free and plentiful. The Eisenhour metro station is a 10-15 minute walk down the street, but there is a shuttle call to take you to and from the station. We rode into the Mall everyday for about $6/person which beat the hassle and cost of parking downtown. There was an AMC next to the metro station with several resteraunts so we would eat there most nights and see a movie. Parking there is free in the evenings. Great location for us, very helpful staff, excellent stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed it all. The staff was wonderful, professional, an informative.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean room. Separate shower with large mirror, sink and counter/storage space along with separate room containing toilet with small sink and mirror is excellent for allowing more than one person to prepare for the day and other obvious reasons as well. Both of those rooms had good fan powered ventillation. Microwave oven in room along with refrigerator that kept items cold. Close access to metrorail and freeway. Located in area that at night is quiet with very little traffic. Some enclosed parking available at ground level under building. Beds were comfortable. In room wireless internet worked excellant. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Shower head needs more water pressure. Desk/lounge area of suite was adequate but would be nice if it were more spacious. No small kitchenette with sink. This is not a biggie for me but would make an extended stay and/or food prep more accommodating. Finally, also not a biggie but would be good idea is to have adjustable volume speaker by bed farthest from television as it would allow less volume to satisfy viewer from that spot. Overall, above average room and experience.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. Planning an event in Washington? This hotel has facilities measuring 3000 square feet (279 square meters), including a conference center.
6.2 Good
Pros: The location was good for walking to the mall and museums. The hotel itself felt new, and the rooms were fairly large.
Cons: We had a few issues. First, parking at the hotel is nearly $50 a night after taxes. We had no clue about this upon arrival. Our sink faucet had no water pressure on cold. Our remote to the tv was broken (they did replace). The staff in the lobby was very rude (although the gentleman at checkout was nice). Breakfast was terrible. It’s nice that the food was included in our stay, but it was not very good. I doubt I would stay here again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good and friendly service. Location was excellent for visiting Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Comfortabele rooms.
Cons: Checkin was a bit chaotic and they were not sure about the price we had to pay. Very few restaurants in the direct environment. Glass door to bathroom offered not much privacy, although nice shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location! 1 block from the metro, 3 blocks from the Air and Space museum. Comfy beds, pretty good free breakfast, very friendly staff. I'd stay here again!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I stayed for two nights and I'm very happy with their services. Staff was courteous and all facilities were clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were incredibly friendly, we were given an upgrade to a suite, and it was such a great location! comfortable beds, great shower, nice bathroom, etc.
Cons: Breakfast was comprehensive, but if you arrived after 8:15 it was hit or miss with what was left. Sometimes there was little food (we were there over cherry blossom festival), other times they did continue to replace. It was a good value though.
6.0 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Room was on the dirty side.......breakfast was good one day of the three mornings, otherwise cold food and the amount of people was crazy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was fantastic. Clean updated rooms, great breakfast. We walked to all the museums.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: No clutter room, great bed, nice staff, business center in lounge. Happy hour
Cons: No nearby restaurants, limited menu in the lounge
6.2 Good
Cons: Only 1 problem Blood on the sheet of one bed. Fortunately there was a pull out bed we slept on as not wanting to disturb young child with whom we were traveling. Next am informed staff who said call Mostafo next day. Very apologetic. Next day Mostafo rudely stated I was a liar and sheets were clean Unfortunate way to treat customers!! Rest of staff and hotel was lovely. But not returning there before inspecting room more closely!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with friendly staff.
Cons: The elevator was an inconvenience. At times it said it was going down but would go up. Didn't like that only one elevator went to the roof top. Also, communicating with the vallet attendant was difficult. He didn't seem to understand our questions and we couldn't understand his responses.

Overview Reviews
Here at the newly renovated Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa, we think that weekend vibes can (and should) prevail seven days a week. Life is all about balance; we certainly appreciate a hard day’s work of collaborating with colleagues or sightseeing in the nation’s capital, but we also understand the value of unwinding and recharging at a welcoming spa, in a fine restaurant or in a lush guestroom that offers pampering without the pretension. Our proximity to downtown DC means that guests can easily experience some urban excitement, but our claim as the only hotel spa in Alexandria defines us as a perfect urban retreat in the heart of Old Town. We offer two exceptional restaurants, charming outdoors spaces, naturally-lit meeting rooms, and a West Coast feel that’s both elegant and relaxed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Corner room had 4/5 huge windows. Loved the modern style. Bathroom was gorgeous, comfortable and huge. The staff was EXTREMELY professional and courteous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed my stay at Kimpton Lorien Hotel and Spa in Alexandria, VA. The hotel was conveniently located in Alexandria's Old Town neighborhood and a short uber ride from DC and Arlington. The hotel had the feel of a high end boutique hotel. My room was clean and the front desk staff members were helpful and friendly. There's a spa on site I unfortunately didn't get to visit during this stay however the room service food was excellent and the breakfast across the terrace from the hotel was amazing. I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to the DC Metro area. It wasn't super expensive either I paid about $120 for a week night stay.
Cons: I liked this hotel a lot, nothing to write her.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the atmosphere, close proximity to metro, attentive service desk, vivacious wine tasting, and secluded location.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Lovely large room, nice spa, good gym. Great bathroom, wonderful restaurant and bar. Gorgeous. Wonderful staff. Would stay again.
Cons: Most everything I tried to order from Room Service was "no longer being made - shouldn't be on menu". Green juice, for example. They should print a daily menu and also offer healthier, less pedestrian options.
4.2 Okay
Cons: Room was small, cramped, and dark. Bed was uncomfortable. Value was not there.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: love my bed love the bathrooms and amenities love the location & i got a good price
Cons: we lost power during my stay internet is WAYYY TOO EXPENSIVE per day - that should be free it's absurd. staff was spotty - either great, or totally out to lunch bellhops seemed to do a lot more than the concierges
6.2 Good
Pros: The staff was nice and friendly.
Cons: The TV did not work properly and always lost signal. Also for what the hotel offered it was too expensive. I do not mind paying more for something that is worth it but this was not it.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Location for easy access to the metro and the diversions and restaurants on King Street.
Cons: My room was close to the back and ground floor. Consequently I was awakened by the early morning dumpster pickup.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: lovely staff and everyone was kind to my dog
