Peaceful cottage with a garden view. Great menu and wide choice of food- also, very quick service.
Lots of construction occurring on street close to the guesthouse, making it very dusty. Ants in the bathroom.
The beatiful garden and the enjoyable chatters with the host and his guests. Kind staff, good and fresh food.
In general, invasive construction works in Vang Vieng.
We had 2 rooms, one with a fantastic view of the mountains and balcony (but thin walls, inevitable with bamboo/timber construction, and this didn’t cause us any difficulties). The other room was solid construction, and although on the road, wasn’t noisy. We enjoyed the restaurant, & the excellent value freshly prepared food. We met Joe, and had a great discussion about local birds/butterflies - he is very knowledgeable. His assistant manager was charming, and helpful. It was nice to be 5 minutes walk across the river from the downtown area - basically on the edge of a real Lao neighbourhood.
Crossing the bridge but no big deal. The bed wasn't very comfortable
+ it is a little bit outside of the main center, which we liked very much + big room + nice view to the rice fields + cute cats around the guesthouse
- staff seemed to be annoyed by guests amd were generally not very helpful (e.g. forgot our coffee/tea at breakfast) - very low water pressure
