Cons: Nothing of note.

Pros: Quiet, secluded, amid vineyards and olive trees. Yet easy and pleasant walking distance to the nearby village with good restaurants. Patricia is a very friendly and helpful host. Great breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Patricia was very nice and helpfull, the breakfast was outstanding (best orange juice ever) and the view in the evening was VERY pretty (so many stars). We had our honeymoon and i wrote a message that i wanted to suprise my wife with an romantic gesture in the room, so if they could leave a flower or something. Patricia outdid herself making the room very romantic! Late in the evening we were watching the stars from the hammock ( at each room available ) with some bubbels (drinks) and we were greatful for the great experience we had at Quinta das Ratoeiras. It was our best stay out of the 5 hotels we had in Portugal, in terms of romance but also the best service and breakfast.
Cons: Nothing! It was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We chose to stay here near Vidigueira on our way from the Douro valley to Faro. The rooms were large and comfortable with a modern en-suite. A delicious continental breakfast was served. We enjoyed sitting on our patio overlooking the vineyards enjoying a bottle of red wine gifted by the owners. The wine was made by Pedro and Patricia using the Roman method in clay pots with no preservatives or additives. We could not resist buying a few bottles of red and white wine which Pedro filled & sealed in front of us from the these clay pots.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room had a balcony with a great view of the sunset. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The bar was open for a late night/early morning nightcap. Prices very reasonable.
Cons: Quite limited choice of restaurants in the vicinity. The most popular one was closed. Not sure whether that was because it was off season or they closed on a Tuesday.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastically helpful staff who are a credit to the business. Proprietors take note! Receptionist made us really welcome after a long drive. She really cheered us up with her friendly and laid back personality. Barman at night equally helpful and we had a few (free) games of pool. Rooms were nice with lots of extra pillows. International TV. Buffet Breakfast fairly extensive and filled us up for the onward journey. Good AC but even on lowest fan settings a bit fierce - no biggie. Would stay a bit longer next time.
Cons: Internet a bit slow but had good 4g connection anyway so not an issue.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Family run hotel. Staff very friendly! Ordered triple room, got two connected double rooms, so good value for money. Breakfast (included in the room rate) was above average with every morning staff asking whether we wanted scrambled eggs, which they promptly prepared freshly!
Cons: Hotel parking is small, but enough free places available on the street. Rooms a little outdated, but clean.
