The staff was excellent, went far beyond service and allowed for a late check out of 4pm, and even said it could be later if needed. Also let us use the indoor pool throughout the day of checkout. Amazing place to spend the summer.
The Oglebay Resort Conference Center skillfully incorporates the resources of nature with the hospitality experience. Guests have several options at their fingertips. This makes for an immersive experience packed with fun and activity.
With so much in the area, it could be hard to choose where to go. The Good Zoo, for instance, offers an educational escape that provides the opportunity to interact with the natural environment up close and personal. Even more can be learned at the Oglebay Institute Museums that provide a look into the past in order to better understand the present and future. For more physically active experiences, guests are able to explore any of the several walking and hiking trails or go for a stroll through Bissonnette Gardens.
For a more laid back experience, there is The West Spa, complete with high quality equipment, products and skilled staff—all of which combine to provide the best in relaxation.
The dining experience is uniquely American as well. The Ihlenfeld Dining Room features high quality meats and produce for a fresh and delectable experience. Garden Bistro combines fine cuisine with the ambience of the outside to enhance the dining experience. The local flavor continues at the Route 88 Brew and BBQ with carefully prepared foods using classic American recipes.
In addition, the Oglebay Resort Conference Center has the facilities in place to host a wide range of business and social events. Each event can be catered to no matter how unique its needs.
