The swimming pool, the view on the sea, nice staff, the free WiFi.
The friendliness of the staff and how they never said no to any request we made. The hotel was quiet and relaxed and the rooms , especially the bathroom, was always spotlessly clean. the only thing we didnt like was that it was up the top of a steep hill that without a car or motorbike was a tough climb. and that the airconditioning wasnt available at our choosing but we had to wait till management decided to turn it on and often it was off to early in the morning forcing us up early as it was to hot and stuffy in the room to sleep.
It's location in the hills, the view over Kokkari, the quiet and clean garden. Everything is a pleasure voor the eyes. The food is excellent. The friendly staff speaks English. Free internetacces in the lobby. We rented a car, but the hotel provides transportation by minibus to the nearest beaches.
The friendness of the staff. The grass by the pool needed to be mowed. We were there for 6 days and it was never mowed. The weeds were 4-5" high. The hotel was not responsive to emails when inquiring about individual rooms with views. We were on our honeymoon and ended up with two twin beds pushed together.
Comfortable, relaxed environment, with great view over Kokkari
The gourmet restaurant.
Not up to the expectations advertised on the web, especially the sea view bungalow. We barely had a view, and did not have the balcony of the photos. When we expressed our contempt, the reception team were helpful, but the person who was supposed to tend to our problem did not even call back. Nothing was done to adress our claim, it was apparent they did not care. The price versus room quality & service was not fair.
the beach and the bar was very nice
The shuttle service by caring and friendly staff The slope was steep to get from the room to the dining area.
I liked the location: it is magical. I also liked stuff- they were very friendly and helpful. I did not like the food offered in the hotel: both breakfast and dinner were very poor in terms of quality. I also did not like the facilities and infrastructure, which is outdated. The hotel needs renovation; eg beds are old and extremely firm; aircondition machines seriously old. Value for money is poor: they either need to improve the facilities and food or reduce the price
the location and teh friendly personel no
I stayed 2 days at Pegasus to explore Samos. The hotel is in the center of Pythagoreion and within minutes of waling you can be anywhere you want to be (restaraunts, supermarkerts, rentals). You do not have to worry about the noise since it is located on a very quiet side street. Relatively small rooms, but clean and comfortable, the shower was a bit small, nice little balcony with gravevines to enjoy your coffee (no view really- you just look at the houses on the opposite side of the road- but there is privacy). The real gem here is the hostess who is attentative to everything you ask and knows english and german. She stays in the hotel for most of the day, prepares breakfast (simple), etc. The price was right. Highly recommended
The owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was richer than "continental". Very pleasant. no sea view
Warm and friendly, attention to detail, helpful owners, breakfast served, peaceful. lovely balcony, Excellent value. Excellent for solo traveller. internet not available in room, but only in lounge (but owner always had it switched on and available). Small details, the hotel was really lovely and I would definately recommend. Went for two days, stayed four.
We did like the very warm and friendly athmosphere at the hotel In our room the airconditioning was not effective
looked around while waiting for connecting flight Too many steps (not recommended for people with handicaps)
The hotel is very clean. the view from nearly all rooms are fantastic and the staff is very nice and serviceminded.
The staff was very helpful. We lived in upper floor and under the roof there were a lot of birds nests. The birds made a lot of noise in the morning and occupied our balcony.I Am afraide we also got some bites from birds parasites. The hotel ought to do something to prevent the birds from building their nests.
The location of the hotel is one of the best in Samos island. The beach is very beautiful and quite. Sheets and towels were replaced almost at a daily basis. The reception was very friendly and well informed about the island. The sole internet access point was a pay-per-minute PC next to the reception. However, the hotel manager informed us they make plans to install a wireless internet service.
The view was very beautiful and the sandy beach and Beach Restaurant/Coffee shop ,were really nice with efficient service. The uphill walk form the beach to the rooms is not very good for older people! The reception area does need to be refreshed and it would help if one could have coffee/refreshment in the main building and not have to go all the way down to the Beach Bar.
The hotel is in a lovely location, right above a beautiful, small beach. The views were great from the hotel rooms. The shuttle bus into the town 2k away was very handy. While the hotel was lovely, there were a few things which affected its quality. The music at the bar was awful, exactly the sort of thing we went to Samos to avoid! And, it was played on a loop! The pool side bar could have been much much better but unfortunately it was not an attraction for guests. Don't go there and rely on the hotel for good evening meals or a good bar - better to go to the hotel below or into the town in the evenings.
Room modern and clean. Breakfast excellent. Pool area well looked after ans pool bar very good. View stunning from hotel, although very limited from my room Too many steps within hotel. A long way from town and mini-bus times not very convenient - last bus from town 21.30, therefore had to use expensive taxis. No chair in room. TV channels limited and nothing available for English speaking guests.
Quality, healthy breakfast with feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, breads, eggs, honey and jam, omelette, excellent yogurt, and a few more items. We only met two women on the staff and they are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The housekeeper of our section was friendly and wiped the marble floor each morning. A narrow street separates the hotel from the smooth rocky beach where the water is clear and blue-green. There are several good restaurants within a few minutes of walking, or continue to the larger concentration of restaurants and shops in about 10 minutes at a strolling pace. Kokkari was much better than Pythagorio since it has a beach and better layout. Even our rental car represtative from Vathy said that he prefers Kokkari to Pythagorio. I would stay here again. About the only complaint I had was the smell from the drains leaking into the bathroom. Keeping a bath mat over the drain in the floor helped, but it also seemed to come from the shower. Keep the window in the bathroom open. We stayed in early October when it was pleasant weather (and it was quiet in town) but there did not appear to be air conditioning, so it could be hit in July and August. This appeared to be normal for the area, however, due the the steady wind.
