Beds and room very comfortable
Clean, bed was comfortable, free wifi, easy access from 95 There was a door the joined our bedroom to another party's room. The doorl provided no noise reduction, and we could hear everything that was going on in the next room (a family with kids that stayed up until 11:30 PM). My husband and I needed to leave very early in the morning and we ended up getting very little sleep.
Easy to find off hwy. Close to all the St. Augustine attractions. Friendly staff and clean room.
Location The AC did not work and there were dirty bandaids next to the bath tub and the staff was NOT concerned.
Great location very close to the beach and St Augustine.

perfect location for easy beach access. Beach was nice and quiet right there too. Breakfast vouchers for 8.50 each were worth it. very good eggs benedict and other options.
This hotel is should be rated higher than a 3 star. Clean comfortable rooms, new mattress, restaurant on site, Hotel and Restaurant staff very nice. The best value for this location period

Very clean. Great location. Very friendly staff. Very helpful. This is my 2nd visit. The wifi is still slow and sometimes it will not connect to my device.
The decor was not standard, bland hotel decor. It was fantastic.
The overall location and cleanliness of the hotel. Highly recommend for a trip to St Augustine Beach Took a bit of time for the room to cool but once it did, it was nice.
Pleasant staff, hotel was clean. Great location, st Augustine beach is fanatastic, white sand not congested Need breakfast included

The location was convenient to the beach and historic St Augustine. Rooms were comfortable and quite. Had a pleasant stay.
The room was clean and a good value. The coffee in the lobby was hot, and the breakfast was adequate Several outlets in the room were not working. I had to try several before I found one in which I could charge my phone.
Wifi was decent Rooms were clean Bathrooms were clean Friendly quiet place to relax at The bed itself was a bit too firm for my liking
Went to St Augustine for a wedding with my wife and our 21 year old son. From the moment we arrived we were welcome with a friendly smile and later in the evening we stopped at the beautiful bar for a nightcap and met a friendly, professional and knowledgeable Bartender. The accommodations and food were fantastic. Will definitely comeback
I didn't like that I was sent to the wrong room and then given a new room and when I arrived at the second room the keys didn't work. I had to go back and forth to the counter 3 times and had multiple long lines to wait for. I also didn't liked hat because of the 45-60 minute trying to figure out my room I was delayed from our Valentine's Day dinner. Was very embarrassed on what should have been a romantic evening. Thanks.
Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Clean comfortable room in a great location.
Educational Rained out all weekend
The price point was fair. Our room was very clean, the staff seems to do a great job. Not really in the greatest part of town, and was about a 30 minute drive to St. Augustine. We had a hole in our linens.
The staff & breakfast!
Our room was clean and fresh and the staff was friendly. I received great help getting my connection for a shuttle bus service to St Augustine for the tours within minutes of my arrival. The t.v. blanked out in middle of night. But it was after 1 Am and I needed to be sleep anyway. I guess it was the satellite feed. Other than that all was well.
Rooms were clean and bes were comfortable.
Staff was excellent, food was good, beds were very comfortable, property and rooms were clean, couldn't hear the neighbors no in-room safe, no elevators, pool not heated
Very easy to get to room. Designed like a motel. Room was recently remodeled Extremely load. no or not noticeable security. I would not stay here again.
Good breakfast and staff Older building small breakfast area and gym poor lighting around pull area
Great location clean rooms good service everyone knows what a complimentary hotel breakfast is like
I definitely will stay at best western again and i will recommend it, it was very clean and close to restaurants, we didnt have to travel far, overall excellent hotel, checking in and out was very easy too.
The room was updated with new flooring, a new, comfortable bed and flat screen tv with Direct TV. They had a pool and fitness room, and a hot breakfast with bacon and eggs was included. For the money we paid, this hotel was a great value. There were only a few cons, and all things considered, we would certainly return. Most notably, the hotel was somewhat removed from downtown Saint Augustine, which was the reason for our trip. There was no mini fridge in the room. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but it was noticeable when we could not cool food and drinks we bought other than in the ice bucket. Lastly, we had some ants on the floor in the sink and bathroom area. Not a big deal, but they did offer to move us if needed.
quiet and very friendly and helph full
Pleasantly surprised, comfortable, refrigerator in room that we did not expect, clean, good value for the money, Nothing
The rooms were dirty and not very nice. Very easily a $30 dollar room anywhere else.
The price and location The staff was unhelpful and not willing to extend to late check out.
The pool had GREEN algae in it and it burned my grandson's throat. The a/c unit had so much lint I used an entire towel to clean the filter. The floor/carpet felt damp all the time. The first room they gave me the frig was not cooling and the sink area looked like it had not been cleaned. Within the hour of them changing me from that room they put another family in it and the maid service was not available at the time. The second room had what looked like blood stains on the sheets and when I asked for them to be changed I was told the maid service was unavailable, so I said I would change them if they would give me the sheets, but was told the office did not have access to more sheet. Also the spreads had burns on them. I would not recommend this place to any one. Had I not already paid I would not have stayed there, but I'm retired and could not afford to lose my money.
For someone who has lived in Florida for 21 years, I have never heard of a Howard Johnson hotel. While doing some research for a trip to st Augustine, I thought I had booked for the one on San Marco near the historical district. Turns out it was the one about 30 minutes away after traffic. Between discussing with the front desk reps at both hotels, it was against policy to wither issue a refund or to transfer the reservation ( even after I offered to pay any up charge) and would have to talk to a manager, however there wasn't on the grounds and wouldn't be until tomorrow morning ( after my reservation) so, my two options were to either stay at this hotel or pay for another room and lose the 72 dollars. The lady at the front desk at the hotel location I wanted to be near said this happens all the time and they can never do anything about it. Hotel was garbage. My room was non-smoking and it smelled like the inside of a pool hall, the door barely closed and had cracks all around it. The bathroom was barely half painted along with the fact that I had to spend 15 minutes in the morning trying to get the hair dryer working so my wife could blow dry her hair. A dozen showers later and I still feel dirty and lied too. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST
We paid $125 for our room because of short notice v-day shopping and lack of available rooms in the rest of town. They had a sign out front stating "$49 and up" which is the quality of hotel this was. Nothing wrong about that, I typically stay at places like that anyways, but a room like this shouldn't cost more than $75 after taxes/fees.
It was affordable... ... but still not worth the price. There were bugs in the sheets, the sink was leaking, the Wi-Fi signal is weak, there's a $20 early check in fee if you arrive early, the bed does not have a comforter, and the TV doesn't get much channels and/or the audio is screwed up in channels. I plan on complaining to corporate tomorrow.
CONVENIENT TO i95 RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO ADULT STORES.
The location was convenient to the Outlet Malls, Dunkin' Donuts and a wide array of restaurants. The lobby, room, bathroom, and landscaping all were in dire need of a complete renovation. The carpet was absolutely filthy, the bathroom was disgusting and the place simply needs to be shut down and given a complete renovation. In addition, an inspector needs to come in a couple of times (on a weekend and during a slow period) to see that the current management "team" is an embarrassment to the Howard Johnson name and should be fired immediately. The overall condition of this hotel is a direct reflection of the incompetence and laziness of the management. There should be a zero tolerance for allowing this hotel to be so filthy.
the location was good. old and smelly room. The door to the room was coming apart. WIFI never worked. Give a bleep attitude by owner.
It was the cheapest hotel I found. The price of a place should be reflected based on location, amenities and service. Not on cleanliness.
Pluming was a little bad . Slow draing tub . Low water pressure
Rooms were beautiful and clean.
All staff we encountered were very welcoming and helpful, especially Meredith and Holly at the Front Desk, Ron at Valet Parking and our cleaning person.
This is the 3rd time I have stayed at the Casa Monica. It is a great property in an excellent location. The hotel is getting a bit on the rundown side. Our sink faucet sprayed water all over the counter which was a little messy. But the charm and ambiance will make Casa Monica a hotel choice in the future. The hotel bar is very good and well staffed. The food there is great after a long day walking. The rooms are charming and the beds are very comfortable. We were on the 4th floor and the high ceiling and western view over the pool deck was very nice. Staff is first rate and the cleanliness is too notch. I know there are some renovations underway and I think some of the older features are being brought current. Just not a 5 star this time.
Bartender was very friendly, Check in was very courteous and helpful.
Beautiful place. Clean rooms. booked the hotel but we're placed in the villas. Down the street and away from hotel conveniences such as restaurants and bar. . Booking said 12:00 check out villas had a 10:00 am check out. Pull out bed instead of two doubles.
Loved everything about this hotel. For the price, this hotel was off .the charts, No complaints whatsoever
good service, excellent accommodations, fantastic golf courses
The staff were accommodating, and we were treated to a complimentary dessert and sparkling wine as a treat for the last day of our honeymoon. The room was nearly perfect excepting a broken.smoke detector. The fitness facility was amazing. The resort clientele appeared below the standards to which the hotel aspires. In addition, the check-in process was slow. The contemporary or "virtual" terminals were not sufficient. Finally, the resort would benefit from a few more onsite amenities such as a second restaurant or bar area and indoor pool. As a member of the Marriott family, excellent models abound.
The hotel itself is amazing and the location is fine. You have to pay for internet and certain amneties
Will stay there again assuming time permits.
Hot tub was not hot at all! For the price of the room, Wifi should be included, no reason to pay $14.95 per day when wifi is free in lobby. Was told there was a sauna, NO such luck, Room was used for storage.
Each was across street and several blocks away but not too far to walk
We loved the spa tub and the king size bed! It was nice to be in a bubble bath and have open doors to see the TV and bed. Best night's sleep we've had in awhile. The only down side was the TV. It says in the pamphlet you can rent pay per view movies, which isn't true. Also, it would have been nice if there was a DVD player.
We weren't aware about the breakfast until we were leaving. No mention of it and no one told us Hilton had breakfast
It was my second stay, it's not a long cab ride from downtown, it's across the street from the beach. Sunset Grille is a good place to grab a beer and a bite to eat. The hotel itself serves breakfast and has a conveience store in it which is nice. The hotel, overall is clean and I would recommend staying there. The bathroom door wouldn't close and the room smelled like someone smoked in it a while ago.
The room wasn't bad, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, but not included. The location wasn't what I had expected. Our reservation was until Friday, but they told us it was only until Thursday onThursday. After we packed everything up and loaded the car because they said no rooms were available, they realized their mistake and put us in another room. It was a big hassle for us. Comping breakfast the next day didn't make up for it.
Easy to find, good location Staff not that friendly or helpful
Nothing. A completely deceptive location- definitely NOT 'historic.' Nobody was at the reception for check-in, and when I tried to call, I was greeted by a VERY RUDE woman saying 'I'm in a room! I'll be there when I can!'
Comfortable beds, microwave, fridge, decent breakfast, nice pool & sauna. Roaches, dirty stairwells, people smoking & load on balcony outside our room.
staff is great said they had spots to park boat, had 1 spot hard to get in and out of
The hotel had been updated thoroughly. Nicely decorated. The A/C worked extremely well and even had a wall thermostat instead of the typical semi-functional noisy window units found in older motels. Parking outside door was very handy! Friendly staff.
Location Strong bad odor in room, wet floor in front of fridge & mold along ceiling in bath.
Breakfast was good and morning staff was very nice Flooring smelled badly when we arrived after running the AC for a while it subsided, the night shift staff was rude.
Premium channels, free wi-fi, not far from downtown. They advertised the room as two queen sized beds but they were full sized and the curtains didn't black out the room.
The location was the first thing I cared about,IT WAS AMAZING.The room was nice and clean and staff kept supplies like towels stocked. The pool was nice as well. But mostly the staff was so complient and friendly. she helped us a lot. No,not really.Maybe Parking but thats about it.It was only packed for one day we were there.
It is right on the ocean and they provide beach umbrellas, towels, etc at no cost. It's very family friendly and relaxed! Carpet in rooms at the beach are a little musty
Beach was close by Our room was suppose to be Ocean view, but we were on ground floor with embankment 5 feet from our patio.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and hotel. Nice quiet location and easy access to the beach! It was a real nice experience all the way around! Will consider this place for a future trip! Breakfast could have been a bit better with more choices to eat and more room to eat in! Wi-Fi was non-existent!! Otherwise everything was nice!!
The hotel clerk, Super nice breakfast not so good
Near the water. First room had roaches second left us covered in bedbug bites. Management doesn't care and refused to speak to me. DO NOT STAY HERE.
Roma cleaned and people was courteous and helpful.
The fact that beach is right acrossed the street . Accommodating when asked for a late check out although it cost 10$ for each additional hour. The rooms have a very strong Odor. At first it's chemical like a cleaner but then you realize it's wet feet or socks. Breakfast was bad waxing donuts and pastry
Location within walking distance to beach I would have liked eggs with breakfast
We have stayed several times over the years. We love the price and closeness to the beach and handyway.
THE LOCATION IS PERFECT AND INDOOR POOL IS GREAT AS WELL LOTS OF ANTS AND ROOM SMELLED MOLDY
We liked the bed, the tv, the bathroom, room was nice and roomy and clean. Left my sandals and they actually kept them for me to pick up... We didn't like the blow dryer or that we did not have an iron and ironing board in our room. Breakfast would have been better if you had eggs and bacon, and waffles.....
Right across from public beach. Perfect. Salt life next door for dinner and drinks. Front desk personal is #1. So nice and helpful. Strong chemical cleaning agent smell. At least you know it's clean.
Not much of a breakfast. Didn't prepare or respond for my Kayak initiated request for a roll-away bed, but only after I initiated, said I needed to speak to someone else. Kayak seeded to be doing the better job. Written in the previous dialogue box. Working only with an iPad here.
The lady at the front desk was very nice. The carpet was stained , right when walking in the door. The tub was dirty on the bottom, the chalk around the inside top of tub was moldy, the sink faucet was dirty covered in white iodized looking stuff. (These things lacked a magic eraser.) The bottom of the toilet, (the part from the floor up to the botton of the toilet seat) was absolutely disgusting...pubic hairs and dust covering it. I was afraid to look for bed bugs directly but I don't think there were any after catching a glimpse accidently. It was very hard to sleep at night because of all the dirty. One may ask why didn't I all for another room or go somewhere else, well....it was during Daytona 500 which the events last two weeks, everything was full. I did call and talk to a manager and she said they had just got a new staff and were spelling to make things better.
Clean smelled good You need to add some flatter pillows to the rooms
I was constructively evicted from my hotel room on the third day due to a bug infestation. The front desk didn't have any other rooms available and suggested that I check-out of my room if I didn't like the conditions. Management refused to address the bug infestation, and the front desk hung up on me. I was forced to checkout and find alternate hotel arrangements. The Regency Inn & Suites is dirty, rundown and poorly maintained. I would avoid staying at this hotel at all costs. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in an effort to help others avoid the circumstances I found myself in.
Location, Denny's onsite The shower head was awful, there was almost no pressure and very little water flow.
Exactly what I was looking for. Nothing excessive or fancy by any means. Had a huge kind size bed with 4 fluffy pillows. Everything was pretty standard. Not much I didn't care for. It wasn't fancy or anything, but you get what you pay for. And this was the perfect basic room nearby everything.
NIce bed, clean linens and pillows The bathroom is for midgets....it is too small and the towels are rough....
You get what you pay for. Great location and staff. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. In the end the hotel is what it is. The fridge was iced over, tiny rooms and no bedspread. If I were single in my early 20s it would have been perfect. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a family with young children.
Convenient Close to the Historic District Good Price Good accomodations The door was hard to open during the stay
everything was perfect but it would be convinient if you had a small fridge in the room.
Good location Small and outdated room
Nothing. The room stunk. My fiance wouldn't get out of the car and go inside because the place looked so bad. We ended up not staying in the room and driving back home. Ruined our weekend. It looked like a drug dealer hotel.
The hotel was about a ten minute walk from all you want to do. Great getaway. Very relaxing.
Nothing because my experience is terrible The service poor for help, the rooms terrible conditions, no bidy cleans very good bad odor small cigarrte, for my opinion and experience was bad terrrible.
It was close to the downtown area and the staff was very helpful. The room had a musty smell and was very dark (more/brighter lamps would be nice). While the staff was helpful with directions and providing coupons, they were unable to provide many recommendations for restaurants and attractions that they did not have coupons and pamphlets for at their front desk.
Location, it was close to the Fountain of Youth and within walking distance to Historic Saint Augustine, the pool was nice as well. It was a all right place to stay for Family. but the location made it. rooms were ok but could use a little freshening up remodel wise. On our trip to florida staying in Saint Augustine, Alamonte Springs Tampa and Orlando this Hotel was more expensive with less amenities such as breakfast, only offer coffee but they have a Dennys built right in the Hotel.
The beds were very comfortable breakfast was okay. I liked the location but parking was limited spaces were tight and with that being said I don't think a parking fee was justified. Signs for vending machines but they were non existent. Only one waffle maker so line was long taking too much time.
Location and friendly staff
The location The pool was filthy. They charge for parking, we were put up on 4th floor and we got up there and it felt like a sauna. Beds uncomfortable. Please let staff know that the filters have to run on the pool and fix the hot tub.
Convenience , easy walking distance to old town. Our reservations were screwed up . Weren't notified of reassigned rooms 3 miles away . Eventually cost 20$ more nite
Most everything was satisfactory. Great location and can walk downtown. Clean and comfortable. No hot water for morning shower. I think it went out overnight as it was fine the night before.
Easy walk to attractions. Quiet, clean rooms. Plentiful continental breakfast. Wasn't a fan of paying $150 a night and having to pay for parking as well.
The location was great They only have one waffle maker so the line was long
Staff was very friendly. Housekeeper very accommodating and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Room was great size (we brought an inflatable toddler bed with us and we had plenty of room for it-which is hard to find in the historic district. Breakfast was yummy and there we alot of choices.
The staff was great and Allowed us to check in early! Hotel Was great walking distance to shops, food and th fort, perfect for our family to sightsee without taking the car around. The sheets on the bed were dirty, the carpet felt wet and the hallways were musty and had no Ac . Rooms could have been maintained a bit better.
Location for the price was great. The staff was friendly although we felt bad for the housekeeper who was an older women and had 16 rooms to clean while the manager let the rest of the staff go home after only doing 5 or 6 rooms. She was still working at 7:30 pm. Our bathroom had four different light bulbs, blue painters tape still in place from two patches on the walls, the water trickled from the sink but is was OK. Breakfast was slim but that was expected. The employee running breakfast was great.
Breakfast bar was impressive, we got to make our own waffles , coffee was hot and fresh, and staff was enthusiastic and professional Nothing
It was nice all around room, decor and close to beach that I couldn't stay longer :).
Hot tub, nice sized room with balconey, complimentary breakfast with very pleasant host, internet access. Didn't have a heated pool, an issue given cool winter weather in St Augustine.
The cleanliness and location is perfect time to enjoy the beach and downtown St. AUGUSTINE Unable to switch a standard room to a room with a balcony for the price difference (rooms on first floor by pool appeared vacant). The reason stated was because we booked through "on-line travel site."
Great value for the money. Very clean and nicely decorated. Sleeper sofa was terrible for young adults. Recommend only for small kids.
It was a nice place to stay. There is only one elevator and it is really slow.
We loved the proximity to St Augustine, friendly staff, clean hotel and great beach!
Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great. Cookies in the afternoon! Short walk to a beautiful beach. We weren't able to see the ocean from our room, but we had a beautiful courtyard view!
Good access to Vilano beach comunity, very clean and comfortable . The included breakfast was also a pleasant benifit.
The cookies in the afternoon
The staff was awesome, especially the lady that closes down the breakfast area. Gave extra time to eat and had good conversations with the guests. The area the hotel was located was convienent . Also the front desk was extremely helpful too with all questions. The hotel was highly overpriced. $240 a night was outrageous for what you got. Very outdated building and rooms. Bed was uncomfortable. This was the first bed I slept on in a hotel that you could feel the springs through it. Window in room was extremely small so we had to keep every single light on so it wasn't dark. I would have liked the place if it was half the price but wow I was surprised at the cost for this place. Pictures overrated on their site.
Great location, great price. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Parking is tight, but there are spots for everyone. Nothing
Room was exceptionally clean. Staff was very friendly and informative. Room was very small, if traveling with more than 3 it would have been very very cramped. Pool area was a bit outdated and small. Was woke up at 530am by garbage truck emptying dumpster.
extremely professional staff, great location and great price - will definitely return
The location was great. Walking distance from the heart of town. We chose this place based on the location, the free breakfast, and the free wi-fi. The location was great. The breakfast was horrible, and the wi-fi didn't work. I wouldn't stay here again.
I really really liked the staff! The little chick at the front desk was so nice and funny! Plenty of parking. The trolly comes around and walking around was nice. The breakfast in the mornings are nice, but could be a little better. The shower towels were kinda rough.. That was weird.
Perfectly fine for a place to crash while enjoying St Augustine. Good location, easy walk to historic downtown bars and restaurants. Good Value for what we paid. Everything could us an update.
Bath tub was stain and very dirty, Bathroom was in very poor condition. Maybe a 2 star.
Location At the rates we were paying we were not expecting much beyond a good location, but this hotel managed to disappoint nonetheless. My daughter was playing with some toys on the floor for about 10 minutes when we realized that her feet and pajamas were stained black by the dirt and soil on the carpet. Our bare feet were also black. The shower was equally stained with black streaks and the shower fixtures were held in place, barely, by caulking. One of our rooms, which were posted as non-smoking rooms, also wreaked of cigarette smoke upon arrival. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Location Room was in need of a remodel and a deep clean.
Very dirty facilities. The rug turned our socks filthy. I would never stay here again
The lady in the reception was very nice and helpful, location was great and the trolley stop helps a lot. Not so clean, the carpet was in awful condition. The bathrooms need some serious update. A tall person wouldn't be able to use the shower because it's way to low. The pool is small and not so cozy area.
Close to all attractions plus it was a red trolley stop which was great.
