A very central location in the charming city of Aguimes. Built round a central small courtyard, it is quite rural while being central. We stayed on a Saturday night and the band didn't stop the heavy rock music until 4.30am!
...too long time to pay...due to a computer problem
Enjoyed absolutely everything! What a wonderful find! The rooms were great, the food was wonderful and the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Was a little hard to find. Instructions for finding it would be helpful.
excellent individual surrounding. What I would call a boutique hotel. also a lovely little town. Dinner was excellent. beautiful rooms Breakfast was a big disappointment espcially after the dinner (although dinner was paid for separately so this may be why) Very basic and I have had more selection in lower star hotels. Infact I ended up having a peice of bread and the last peice of ham as nothing but a few cererals. Please note that while we are in spain its usually expected that a little English is spoken in hotels. No English.
Yes the waiting time at the hotel bar is very long
It's situation in a pretty, historic town. The house itself was also quite pretty and built around a lovely courtyard. Could be a really nice experience of real Canaria. The customer service was poor. The manager made us feel more of a necessary nuisance than a welcome guest. Our room not quite finished when we arrived. That's OK - mistakes happen but when I returned to reception to inform her (and I realise I should speak better Spanish) she declared in an off-hand way she didn't understand and swept upstairs with me meekly following her. She did say then that she didn't realise it wasn't finished & sent the maid in to apologise! All we wanted was a good natured welcome and a smile or too! This sort of culture permeated the whole place. At the restaurant waitress told in no uncertain terms that they closed at 10pm when we had just finished our meal. B/fast was a mediocre - no staff.
Very clean, family friendly, friendly staff, located on the city centre, easy parking on streets nearby. The church bells ring every hour even during the evening. Hotel could have one or two more people; staff looked a bit overloaded with work.
I liked the location of the hotel. it is inside the old part of Aguimes which is perfect if you want to be away from the tourists in a typical canarian village Breakfast could be improved. poor service and not enough presence from the staff.
Lovely old building, beautifully restored, very peaceful courtyard for relaxing, attractive bedroom. Set in the Interesting historic quarter of Aguimes, so pleasant to walk around the area. Not a complaint, but it was difficult to find. Suggest future guests download the instructions and check the online guide by zooming in as much as possible. Set in old quarter, consisting of very narrow, one way streets, and it's easy to miss Calle Moral(?), the way into the quarter - itself a very narrow one way street.
The best thing was that the hotel was close to the airport. We had to overnight to catch a plane the next morning. The room was comfortable and clean. Very close to the Carrefour mall. I do not think that the hotel deserves the 4 stars. The breakfast was mediocre, I had to struggle all by myself with two kids and two big suitcases to check in and up to our room. We stayed there twice within one week and I did not noticed a change. My views remain the same.
Wifi internet, but the signal was very low. Next time I'll bring my wifi repeater and pointer antenna with me. Pool on the roof and private garage at the basement was excellent! Good staff and excellent location! Definitely will go back there in the future!
The hotel is advertising that it has a shuttle service from and to the airport. On the night of arrival there was NO such service, and since I had to leave at 6am the next morning it was too EARLY! Taxi both ways! No shuttle service as advertised.
It was very relaxing after a long day travelling by plane and was a welcome break. The food was good and the staff helpful and friendly. Highly Recommended
location to airport and shopping mall. They did not have our booking when checking in. I had to show e mail confirmation and no apology. We had a leak in the roon roof again no apology when advising reception. However all other aspects were fine. As i have a timeshare sat to sat I was thinking of using this hotel each year for the last night as can only travel on a sunday but may need to rethink re above.
Welcoming and professional We could not use wi-fi on the third floor and were transferred to the first floor. However, we could hardly use it there either (Room 114). So, we missed out on using our laptop at your hotel. However, we were only there one night.
Very close to the airport including airport shuttle and a copious breakfast buffet. Ideal for lay-over travelers.
good parking facilities, quiet large rooms, well furnished, good food
Very clean and friendly Was not told free transfer had to be booked in advance of arrival - there fore we had to pay 20 euro for a taxi. We only chose hotel as it had free transfers
location, facilities, no sceaming kids or tourists The word "surly" was invented to describe the bar staff at this hotel. The men especially looked like they always wanted to be somewhere else and could only grunt rather than speak. The people at reception were fine.
The view from the room, the balcony furniture with fleecy rugs for sitting above the clouds was amazing after a day of driving the zig zag roads. the cafe/restaraunt staff were very helpfull and attentive to the kids, and the standard of food excelent. The swiming pool shown in the photo's is not available unless you use the spa which is out of bounds for kids at all times. I had read reviews about it being closed so checked on paradors website, trip advisor and hotels website and there was no mention of this. This was the main reason we had booked.
The location of the Parador up in the mountains is excellent with stunning views from the bedrooms (Mount Teide on Tenerife can be seen on a clear day). The bedroom accommodation, lounges, & main areas are of the usual high standard found in Paradors (this one has only recently been opened/renovated). We thought the price of the Spa/indoor pool etc at over 30 euros each person was excessive otherwise we would have used it more. It's a pity there is no outdoor pool.
the view from our room was breathtaking, the ambiance was relaxing, and the food was fantastic.
The view from the balcony towards the setting sun was beautiful. The hotel offered what they promised in this regard. It was quite expensive.
clean new hotel with stunning views and very friendly staff; the reception staff speaks either english or german as a foreign language; Arrive early to enjoy the afternoon sun on the terrace looking at the great mountain scenery! only buffet breakfast is offered
This parador is located in the centre of the island with magnificent views of the mountains and easy access to walks and the very special Roque Nublo. I was amazed to get a twin room for 60 euros. Breakfast was extra at 15 euros each but very special. There could not be anything to dislike at this hotel.
Excellent location for walks in the mountains and visiting the interior of Gran Canaria.
Fantastic iews from our room and balcony. Staff not very friendly. No lighting for inside the wardrobe/lobby.
View and location Service was rather cold and off hand not what i expect at that level of hotel. Also Spa and pool were closed which i was not made aware off when booking so as a family very disappointed!
i liked almost everything there. Nice atmosphere, good garden, breathetaking view on the mountains, nice stuff. -
Tranquility Booking.com information stated things that were not there, ie., solarium, massage, jacuzzi, business centre, laudnry & ironing.
Good food and friendly staff. Good base for walking Did not like the open plan bathroom-I like toilets to have a door! Also the room was small and smelt of food, and there was nowhere to sit comfortably, apart from the bed
Good location for walking. Attractive comfortable rooms. Other guests very nice. Disappointing food
Pleasant Staff, relaxing, quiet nice location, lots local shops easy access to local buses which was great even for the airport. The plastic type cover covering the mattress in my room
Only stayed one night,12hrs Breakfast alittle bare, no staff, no advice given, very much help yourself.
finding it... and finding the access to the parking as the main avenue is only 1 way
reception staff, cleaning, free parking right under the hotel, breakfast, the room. Also, you have the bus stop in front of the hotel. We stayed 2 days and I think the first one the room wasn't freshly cleaned (may be because it has not been used for a while), but the second day you could really smell the freshness! Also, I think I forgot to ask specifically for a double bed and we had a twin room (I did not ask for a change).
underground parking, convenience to shops/restaurants. traffic noise, lack of facilities.
HI,I am very satisfied about the location of this hotel becuase is close to the airport and resort area.the room is big and staff excellent. We rent a car to reach all nice city.
The breakfast was an unexpected bonus and, as the room, it was well above what I usually get for the money.
It was cheap, nice and clean hotel for overnighting close to LPA airport.
Internal car park is available for customers, which helps considering the difficulty for parking in Vecindario main shopping street. Internet hotspot and computers are also available. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Hotel is rated 2 stars but overall standard is high. Modern and clean room and bathroom.
yes smell in the room. there was a strong smell of air freshner, probably to hide some sort of faul odour in the bathroom
The Location, The Individuality, The general comfort. The friendly helpfulness of the staff.. Cold breakfast room was a nuisance, Local amenities in Tejeda for late eating were very restrictive. This would not stop us visiting again, we would plan our days differently.
Splendid, though challenging walking from the door into the amazing Gran Canerian mountains and gorges Eating in the evening is a problem. Though one of the largest central Gran Canarian villages, Tejeda is very quiet even in the 'high season' of mid-February - with wholesome but simple food available from only one (different) cafe per night. But its Almond Festival, when blossom abounds at this time, changes everything - though this year this was spoiled by rain.
Great location and view, very friendly and helpful staff, god facilities, good breakfast (but remember to bring warm clothes for cool mornings). Possibility to have earlier breakfast, and perhaps more varied selection of bread.
The room was cosy. The hotel's staff and all people in Tejeda were very friendly. The mountain views - great.
Lovely hotel well situated to walk up Roque Nublo. Has a nice common room, but unheated and locked in the evening (Feb.'09) No heating, everyone seemed to wear coats for breakfast, no restaurant or bar open. All restaurants in the village close before 9:00pm if you can get them to serve you. I like a quiet life, but what happens here after 20:00. I don't recomend the drive to the village after dark!
Good location for walks in central Gran Canaria. Probably one of the better hotels in that area. Lack of heating, especially in bath room. Only 2 quality restaurants in Tejeda, and open only from 20:00 to 21:30.
