Pros:I read bad review after bad review of Air Côte d'Ivoire prior to flying them, and so approached this flight with trepidation. To my pleasant surprise, everything went off without a hitch: orderly boarding and on-time departure; comfy & clean new planes; delicious in-flight meal with wine; efficient disembarkation in Dakar with prompt, hassle-free baggage claim. ZERO complaints. This airline is great - don't be like me, book without hesitation!

Cons:Poor comfort and poor seats No entertainment
Pros:2 easy flights. Nice service.
Cons:There is only 1 hr to connect to next flight (both Niamey-Dakar and Dakar Niamey). With the security check in Abidjan, I think the connecting flight waits for the arriving flight but that is never stated so all the passengers heading to Dakar from Niamey and Niamey from Dakar were stressed, thinking, as they waited in the security lines, that they were going to miss their connection. A small point but could you add Coca Lite or Coca Net Zero to your choices?
Nothing was good. It was awful. We boarded the plane and were stationary for 3 hours. They assured us they were in contact with our connecting flight and the plane would wait since 95% of us were going to jfk, but they did not. They took us to Abidjan 3 hours late, knowing that we would all be stuck in a foreign country on New Year’s Eve/ day with no assistance whatsoever. They was little to no communication from them. So many more sad details to add, but I’ll just leave it here - Never would I recommend anyone to use Air Côte d’Ivoire. Absolutely terrible airline. No outlets to charge on their old plane, unfriendly staff, not good food.. I repeat, nothing was good about the flight.
Cons:Schedule means little to the airline. A 16:30 flight non-stop from Monrovia Robertsfield to Abidjan was turned into a 14:30 flight from Monrovia to Freetown to Aidjan. I had flown the airline a few weeks before--and a nonstop Abidjan-Lome flight became an Abidjan-Cotonou-Lome flight. An airline that plays fast and loose with scheduling is an airline that will not last long.
Pros:Smooth and fast. No problems or complications. Nice that we were served a small meal. Delicious!

Cons:Very disorganized at the airport of Abidjan with mutliplr but useless checkings. It was a tota mess at the security checking. The flight was delayed for 1 h
Pros:Flight was booked as direct abidjan to Ouagadougou on the 8th, then back on 10 th but in fact went past to Niamey then back to Ouagadougou, completely disorganizing all previously made arrangements and without prior warning! Quite unacceptable, as this was a repeat performance of what occurred the previous day, and was obviously planned, yet we were not informed. I will say your flight attendants are pleasant and professional.

Overview of Air Côte d’Ivoire
Air Côte d'Ivoire operates as the flag carrier of Ivory Coast. It controls its services through a hub in Abidjan, with a network that spans across West and Central Africa. In addition to 5 domestic routes, international flights are available to countries that include Senegal, Guinea, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and Congo. It is one of the most prevalent airlines.
Predominantly owned by the Government of Ivory Coast, shares in the airline are also held by Air France-KLM. Contributions from the Franco-Dutch airline group have helped the carrier develop its operational and commercial scope. Air France schedules multiple flights to Abidjan each day and aims to turn the destination into a nucleus for West African travel. A codeshare agreement with Ethiopian Airlines delivers a transcontinental service to New York.
Both Airbus and Bombardier aircraft are used to operate the routes. Air Côte d'Ivoire utilizes the Airbus A319 and A320 series of planes for longer journeys, which are capable of transporting between 108 and 150 passengers. The Bombardier Dash 8 serves shorter distances and is recognizable by its twin propellers. The national colors of Ivory Coast, green, orange and white, are used to decorate the fleet, with dashing lines across the fuselage.
Both Economy and Business Class are available on Air Côte d'Ivoire services. A generous amount of 30 kg (approximately 66 lb) baggage is provided to Economy passengers, while Business Class customers can bring an additional 10 kg (approximately 22 lb). The upgraded section includes customized service, electrical outlets and priority for disembarking the plane.
